Hair dressers knowledge is limited. As an artist I can tell you, the root color was off , 5 N didn't over washed out put a 6 N onroots no warm colors, she put too much roots color covering my highlights I paid $ 240 a few weeks ago prior . Now need to go spend more upscale Salon. The highlights are pretty nice some washed out & needs a toner soon also refused to see the mistakes they made . Don't waste your money read more

I was ready to get my long, thick hair cut. Elise did an amazing job on first cut, but the second visit for a trim was even better. The cut is perfect! She gave me tips on round brush drying that were game changers for me! I wake with my long hair, smooth and shiny and it just naturally falls into place!! Alissa did my hair. Color, highlights and trim. I have few highlights-in front of my ears. My hair was butchered. I said don't cut short as I wear a pony tail or a clip. Well I have layers so short that I have to use bobby-pins The layers do not blend. Looks like a wedding cake in tiers in the back-it is not blended. I now have bangs which I did not want. I was turned away from the mirror until the end. Did not style my hair and it cost $200 I would rate it 0 if I could. 2 months later and still dealing with this hair cut! read more

I have never written a review on yelp. I just wanted to thank Jessica for making experience amazing. I've always wanted to bleach my hair but I didn't know when was the right timing. All I had to do was show her a picture of a style I was going for. She gave me some recommendations, I didn't know what to do but say "do whatever you think will look the best" and she killed it. She knows how to do her job and she isn't boring. I've had so many boring conversations with past hair stylists and barbers. My parents don't agree with the hair but I love it. Sadly disappointed that I arrived at 4:30 to find out that everyone went home. I don't have a lot of hair to cut, so would have taken 20min max... Missed out on a sale, returning customer, and a tip. Over my ombré (read: grown out highlights), I made my 1st appt here with Sammi. She took me back quickly and we discussed what to do with the color and cut. Sammi gave me all over color, but used two shades to create dimension. My color looks so pretty in the sun and really does bring out my eyes, just like she said. My only complaints are that they didn't seem to have a dryer to sit under while processing, so that took a long time and I think she ran out of time to really cut some bangs in... After 1 year of getting bad cuts and really bad color I decided to try Charlies. I am so glad I did! My hair is really short and I like blonde highlights, and I could not get either I liked. My hair has been plagued with red and bad highlights for quite some time. Read some reviews on Natasha and gave her a try. I could not be happier. I really did not expect miracles the first time, but I got them. Not only do I have actually blonde highlights the base is a nice color without the red! If you are looking for a homelike, comfortable, clean, friendly atmosphere, this is the salon to visit. The salon is very inviting as soon as you enter and that is a huge plus for me. Natasha is the absolute best. She listened to me as I told her exactly what I was looking for as far as color, cut and style. In addition I came in with about 2 inches of dry, dead ends. She offered a conditioning treatment and I'm so happy I paid the extra $30. So worth it. The color was spot on. The cut was spot on. The way my hair felt was like touching someone else's perfect hair. I came out feeling lighter, beautiful and very happy. I will be a forever customer with Natasha. I decided to try this place because I moved out to East Mesa over a year ago and didn't want to keep travelling into Scottsdale for a hair cut. The salon itself was fine. Generally cute décor and they use Aveda products. I had my first appointment there with Nelly and although she was very nice I just didn't like the cut I received. I brought in a picture of someone who appears to have the same general type hair as me and I did want the cut a little longer than the picture. What I ended up with was nothing like it. It's kind of a Midwestern mom type style and the layers were very poorly cut. There were two other girls working who seemed to do a much better job. They both had people walk about with younger more trendy styles. I'll just keep on looking for a better fit for me. read more

I was at Charlie's on Saturday, I read all the great reviews and thought this would be the place....unfortunately my experience was not good, although I did not realize this until the next day. My hair looked great when I walked out of there, but within a couple of hours after it started to do it's own thing I was not so happy. I had Natasha wonderful person, great personality, but i don't know what went wrong. She cut my hair her way and did not listen to me.....I wanted my hair blended, but it is far from being blended...I have three levels, top, middle, and bottom! It looked nice when I left, but by evening and on Sunday it didn't look like anything the way she did. I don't know why it is so hard to blend hair, and I asked her not to touch the back of my crown, it was just getting where it would stay laying down, and she TOUCHED it!!! it is now sticking up, and man i have wings.....grrrrrrrrrrrr I haven't decided if I should go back or do I want to go back... Not only did she listen to me but she freely offered her suggestions on the style that would work best for me. I was with five friends and we had our eyebrows done. Sorry to say four were disasters. I went back three times and was not able to get what I wanted. So far three of us have had our brows repaired to our satisfaction at silver king in florence. Wish I could do a negative star but yelp won't allow a negative. Not a good experience. Very painful. The silver king uses better numbing cream and I even had eye liner done in florence with NO PAIN. read more
