Hidden gem! Just started going here a few months ago after someone recommended Megan (who is awesome). Nice family owned salon that offers hair and nail services. My daughter and I both got trims with layering from Megan, and unfortunately we are very disappointed with the results. Both cuts are extremely choppy and uneven. The blending is not smooth, and there are visible harsh lines that make the haircuts look unfinished. We were told we could return to have "fixed what we were not happy with," however the cuts were done poorly enough that I do not feel comfortable returning for a correction. We had to have the haircuts fixed elsewhere and as a result I also lost approximately five inches of length due to the poor quality of the cut. This was not the level of quality we expected, and we are very disappointed with the outcome. read more

I was in need of serious repair after not cutting my hair for almost a year because I had a bad experience with a chain salon in the East valley. She took time to listen to my concerns and hair goals and was very honest and polite. Since she moved to this salon, her environment has allowed her to really expand and perfect her craft. This place is such a wonder I feel like I fell into a wormhole and turned up in the hair salon they must have in heaven. First of all, it was a last minute appointment, late in the day, right before Xmas. They fit me in and did not make a fuss about it even though they were busy. Warm greeting when I walked in and was guided to Ally. This chick is a hair goddess. She's been cutting her own hair since she was eight, this is her calling in life, and I swear I have never been so delighted with a cut before the cut was even over. She listens. She checks in during the whole thing. We discussed it all. She really took her time. I really don't want my hair to grow back cos I live in Los Angeles and I want to come back here. The woman who owns the shop--all the cutters here are, in effect, independent contractors and run their own stalls--came over and gave me a huge hug and said I sounded nice on the phone. Made my day. Like what more do you want. Request Ally as she is seriously gifted with scissors and made my holiday. I had an appointment at 3 pm on a Monday. I called HOURS before to make sure I can get in. There was a mom there who's daughter was getting a cut. I was there about 20 mins early. Said mom decided she wanted her six year old to also have a hair cut. Here I am, at 3:40 pm..40 mins passed when my appt was because a mom who's daughter didn't even have an appt decided to ask the lady cutting hair if she could do it. I'm a nurse and don't have time for hardly anything and need this hair cut. The salon owner never answered me when I asked how much longer it would take. The mom of said daughter who didn't have an appt kept barking orders ar everything she wanted done to her kids hair. I've never had such inconsiderate behavior in a salon. The lady cutting hair could've apologized that I'm now 40 mins out of my hair appt. At this point, I deserve a discount since I'm only doing a cut and wash. Don't recommend this place if you value honest communication or ANY communication at all from business owners. Never again will they have my business. read more

Just because I'm over 70 Brian keeps my hair style young and I always receive compliments from young & old alike. Yes, no credit cards accepted and that keeps the price of hair service really low. I recently found Shelly from Hair duz it for my nails. Let me tell you she is amazing. I got a full set and didnt have to go back for a month. No lifting, no breaks! Had my nails not grown out I could waited even longer. She uses the real Tamny Taylor product not the crap you buy from the nail supply or they use at other nail places, it actually has to be ordered from The Tammy Taylor company from a licensed nail artist. Hair Duz It is my favorite place to go to have my hair cut and styled. Shelly has helped me with age more gracefully. By leaving a portion of my natural color in addition to some beautiful highlights and color weaved in, I can go awhile without having an obvious growth at the roots and my hair and scalp are so much healthier because I'm not trying to keep up with coloring my hair so often. When I first spoke to Shelly about what I wanted for my hair, she really listened and I felt relieved that it was important to her that I was able to achieve the goal of allowing my gray hair to show through without looking dull and faded. read more

I gave Liddy 2 stars because the cut was cute enough even tho she cut it in a big hurry. My complaint is the coloring of my roots which was the main reason I went. On the phone we discussed I had low lights as well as high lights and would need more than one color. She was running behind she said. Before I knew it she is brushing my roots with ONE dark color and doing it in a hurry. It definitely shows. Within 3 weeks I have a 1/4 inch of gray roots showing. Usually it takes 6 weeks to look this bad. She didn't get very close to my scalp and it shows. I was there half the time as anywhere else I've ever been. The cost was the same. Sitting in a salon for hours isn't my thing, but it does if it means a good job. I was hoping I found a stylist for my months in Arizona, but not. NEXT! read more

Im leaving this review for Wanda, not the salon its self. My mother-in-law moved to Arizona and asked me to find someone to do her hair weekly. She wanted someone to wash, roll and finish her hair. She is in her late 80's and has always had someone do her hair. I contacted Wanda and she said she could do that for her. My mother-in-law went a few times and her hair would last a day and then looked aweful, so I went in with her to see if we could figure out how to get it to stay longer. Wanda did her hair again and it looked great and lasted nicely. Then my Mother-in-law went in a few more times and again it did not last or look very nice, so I called Wanda to try and see what we could do to get it to stay longer and look nicer. Wanda told me she needed it cut. I talked to my Mother-in-law and let her know what we needed to try and she agreed to have it cut. Made an appointment for 2pm on Fri. She made my 88 year old mother in law sit and wait 45 minutes, then kept her there for 4 hours, cutting, coloring, rolling and finishing her hair. I know these things take time, but not 4 hours. Wanda was very unprofessional and bad mouth me to my mother-in- law while doing her hair. I was not mean or rude to Wanda. I called because I was trying to figure out what needed to be done so my mother-in-laws hair looked nice and stayed. I think Wanda is very unprofessional and just down right mean to take it out on an 88 year old woman. I would not recommend using Wanda to anyone read more
