Today, I was treated to two hours of pampering ... first at the head spa and then our usual cut and style time. The head spa was a relaxing retreat ... my hair and face were given deep moisturizing ... I could feel my face soaking in the moisture from the mask as if it were having a nice drink. My facial skin is very reactive to allergies and I had zero trouble with today's treatment because Joelle is very particular about getting natural beauty products in that enhance without any harsh, unnatural ingredients. My hair really enjoyed a deep moisturizing while I relaxed with a lovely head and shoulder massage. I know there is a step or two I'm leaving out here but let's suffice it to say it was a lovely experience in a relaxing setting that left my scalp visibly refreshed. Awesome job as always. What I mean is not having to come see her every 6 to 8 weeks. She said great let's do this and she did it. And all in a reasonable price. She has continued to add flare to my hair. I went from doing just a simple baulyage to do bright colors going reds to purple to even blue and green. And when I did the blue and green, I told her I wanted to do russian roulette with my hair. And now I stick with purple because that is what I love, and I let her do her magic. Oh, and did I say I get tons of compliments on my hair. Even when it's 4 months old, when I am stretching out the color so I don't need to go see her.

I worked hard to show…read morePetra a picture of bigger curls, I talked to her extensively about how my hair curled quickly and I didn't want the Brillo pad frizzy curl. She stood right on front of me and told me she did perms "all the time" and I had nothing to worry about. I over emphasized that my hair took a curl quite well and she should use the gray rods, because I wanted bigger curls,maybe with a few pink close to the nape and face area, but mostly the gray rods. Petra brought out the gray rods, but proceeded to go with the smaller pink rods all over. My hair was in good condition, at least 6" in length so there was no reason to go pink, except to make the curl really frizzy. Mind you, I made an appointment so there shouldn't have been any reason to rush through the process. Then people started coming in for haircuts. Petra was explaining to me how every thing was going to "work out " while she rushed through putting the perm solution on. Petra set me in a chair while the permanent processed for way over 20 min. While she did 3 different haircuts. None had appointments. She finally rushed me through the neutralizing, rinsed me out, handed me the comb and let me comb out my own hair. And she had the gall to say yeah it's really curly! I got home there were spots in front that didn't get curled, so I called her and went back. Later I noticed that there was a couple of spots in the back that was not curled either...in her haste she just missed spots. I'm not going back again! Now I'm experiencing breakage at the scalp. And my adult sons are making fun of me because I look like a Brillo pad! Very humiliating! I've waited for a few days hoping that it would relax some, what a horrible experience! And I paid almost $140.00, yes I tipped her while I was being rushed out of the salon. BEWARE! WORST EXPERIENCE Honestly I never do reviews but this has to be said.
