I am beyond dissatisfied with the service provided at Charlotte pediatric dentistry. My sons lip blew up after a procedure that was done there this morning. When my husband called after hours (5pm) and they said earliest they can see my son is tomorrow at 10:30am or we have to go to ER. I am beyond disappointed that they do not have a dentist on call for matters that are urgent as these for EVEN a consult. This is simply dangerous not to have a clinician that can address urgent issues. read more

We saw Dr. Putney for about a year and a half. She spoke so condescendingly to me and made me feel like a horrible mother who never brushed her children's teeth even though I've always done that faithfully. I moved my children to a new pediatric dentist and they were horrified at the treatment my children received at this office. The new dentist couldn't believe that they drilled on my 2 year old daughter and pointed out that the job was not done well, seeing as how the filling looks extremely bulky. He even pointed out that it looks like a spot on her tooth was chipped from the tools they used. Dr Putney also put a crown on my 7 year old. The new dentist pointed out from the X-rays that not only was the crown the wrong size ( it looks horrible, so I was aware of that), but it also was crooked and not placed properly. They also left too much material in the crown which increases his chance of getting an infection in his tooth. I'd also like to point out that every time we went to Charlotte Pediatric Dentistry, my two youngest were said to have numerous cavities; at this new dentist my children were complemented on how well they brush and declared cavity free. read more

Wonderful dentist and support staff. My five year old has always been apprehensive about dental visits but not anymore! Her preferred hygienist is Summer and she is amazing! She was gentle and reassuring. She completely put my little one at ease and not only was she able to clean her teeth without any problems, she also managed to get her first set of dental x-rays too. That's no small task, because my little lady is tiny but mighty. Dr. Putney is fantastic too. She has a warm demeanor and exudes a passion for dentistry. My kids and I look forward to their twice yearly check ups. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!please bring your little ones to this great dentist co. The support staff and assistants were great but the best part was Dr. Putney at the Davidson location. Have 2 kids and my son DO NOT like the dentist. He really enjoyed and went in for a cleaning and he end up getting fillings. He did not fuss, or cry. I thought i would have to be in there holding his hand or he would have to be put to sleep. Neither happened. Dr. PUTNEY was great and he wants to go back now. Thanks for the love and support. I have given these guys several opportunities and I am so mad at myself that I went back so many times. The Dentist, Dr. Kim Blanding has no business being a dentist. She has no bedside manner, no patients with children and has made 3 separate visits for my children and myself an absolute nightmare. She does nothing to make the kids feel comfortable and instead during a time of fear she is condescending, impatient and you can 100% tell by her body language how bothered she is by your children having Normal childlike reactions to drills coming at them. You would think since they are about to bill me $500 to fill my child's chipped tooth that they would be nice and patient but they are the complete opposite. I will no longer put myself through this stress or subject my children to this dental office, I would suggest you find another facility. read more

My kids had so much fun there. They were very respectful and great with my children and made sure they were comfortable. They have a game room that kids can play in after their cleanings. They made sure we all were comfortable and Dr. Putney was so great. The dental assistants were great too. They do all three of my children's teeth at the same time. How convenient is that!!! The place is beautiful and coved in butterflies. They have a tv in the waiting room for kids to watch. I absolutely love this office. It's a 34 minute drive but so worth it. My children are 6, 5 and 1 and their new sibling will be coming here as well. read more

There are very special places on this beautiful earth... never would I have imagined a dentist office would be one of them!!! Dr. Blanding, Ileana and the staff at Charlotte Pediatric Dentistry have an authentic warmth in their eyes! My 8 year old son needed to have a protruding tooth pulled in between his two central incisors. Dr. Blandings' calm melodic voice was able to fill my son with confidence that all would be well. Once the movie was on, the pain killer was administered with a water pick sort of tool, the tooth was extracted! As if picking grapes off a vine!! My son afterwards had said "I'm so glad you did not pull my tooth out" ! I told my son, they did pull your tooth out, and his eyes couldn't believe it! Thank you everyone! Best experience I could've ever asked for!!!! I cannot say enough good things about my sons first appointment at 4 years old. He is very reserved typically but the staff made him incredibly welcome and made the appointment incredibly enjoyable. I was able to get a next day appointment and my son left asking when he can go back to the dentist again. If I were to have one negative to say it would be that the toys in the lobby are very tempting to children but only a couple worked. The inside playroom however was a lot of fun for him!!! I gave them a 1 star but really they don't deserve any. My last experience with the Davidson office was very unpleasant. It was heart breaking. I felt like my daughter and I was mistreated due to our insurance and race. Dr. Kim Putney was very rude, very short with us, and made us wait during our visit as if we didn't matter. The staff was okay they kept a smile on their face meanwhile, they were trying to hurry us out the office. Usually I take my daughter to the Billingsley location and see Dr. Webb because we were referred to her; however, this time there were no open appointments and my daughter really needed to come in. My daughter was really hurt after the appointment. She cried in the car all the way down the highway because of how the Doctor was talking even through she was speaking to me directly. Dr. Putney was making faces after looking at the x-ray of my daughter's teeth. My daughter goes to the dentist yearly, but I found out during the last visit kids should go every 6 months. My daughter bushes her teeth twice a day, however, we were not flossing because last year her teeth still had spaces in between them. I felt like Dr. Putney judged the situation because of out race. I am a great mother and I take care of my daughter's health more than mine. I work at a doctors' office as well and have seen many times people getting mistreated because of their race and the type of insurance they have. I find this behavior extremely unacceptable and unprofessional. read more

I am surprised by the other reviews!! We love this place!! Our daughter loves going to the dentist!! We had Dr Blanding last time and she was great!! We've only had great experiences and we have been going for 3 years!! Even when our daughter got her xrays taken they made it fun!!! read more
