I've owned my American Akita since he was 8 weeks old, and he's now 7 years old. After years of…read moreprofessional grooming appointments, I know when he's ready to be groomed and I always pay for the de-shedding package with the additional brushing because that's what his double coat requires. When I picked him up, I was told he did a great job overall. The groomer mentioned he gave a couple of warnings because he didn't like the brush, so I specifically asked if that affected the quality of the groom. I was told it did not. I waited several weeks before saying anything because I wanted to make sure the shedding wasn't just leftover loose hair. Unfortunately, he continued shedding heavily throughout my home. I even provided photos. What convinced me the de-shedding wasn't thorough was that very little hair was coming from his undercoat. Instead, the loose hair continued coming from his outer coat every time I rubbed him, even weeks later. When I reached out, I was told the brushing had been intentionally limited to avoid brush burn. While I appreciate wanting to avoid making a dog uncomfortable, I paid for the additional brushing service and don't feel I received the level of de-shedding I paid for. I was also confused by the explanations I received. At pickup, I was told my dog's behavior didn't affect the groom. Later, I was told he had actually been more difficult during the appointment, although I was again told that wasn't the reason for the outcome. I was also told maybe I brought him in too early, but after seven years with my dog, I know when he's ready to be groomed. To be fair, I don't place all of the blame on my groomer. My biggest disappointment was how the owner handled the situation. After I was told the owner would call me, I instead received a lengthy text message. I responded respectfully, answered every question, and provided photos, but I was never offered a touch-up, another de-shedding treatment, a partial refund, or any other effort to resolve the issue. Eventually, my messages stopped receiving responses. This salon charges premium prices, and I was willing to pay them because my first experience was so positive. If someone had simply called me and made a reasonable effort to resolve the issue, I would have gladly remained a customer. The day before, we called to make an appointment and they said, sure bring her in the next day. Our pup was fine going to the groomer and fine when we picked her up. Munchkin is 2 years old and she looked great and smelled so fresh. She was happy and playful as her usual self when she saw us. The groomer gave her a full cut short, just as we requested. Our Shih Tzu/Shorkie's fur grows very fast. This will be our new groomers going forward. The staff was nice and pleasant too. Thank you for giving our pup a great first time experience.

My dogs are usually ready within 2 hours and they ALWAYS look adorable. No weird haircuts!! I love the way Elana cuts my poodle mixes, but Joy did a great job when Elana wasn't available. I needed to reschedule an appointment and had to leave a message because they are extremely difficult to reach by phone. When I finally spoke with the owner, she told me I missed my previous appointment and would need to pay before rescheduling, which I understood and agreed to. I explained that I was nearby running errands and preferred to come into the shop to pay in cash, since that's how I normally pay. Instead of simply working with me, she insisted that I pay by card over the phone. When I politely asked what the difference was if I was close by and ready to pay in person, the conversation immediately became hostile. The owner became argumentative, went on a rant, and made the comment "you people," which I found extremely offensive and inappropriate. She then hung up on me. I'm not sure exactly what was meant by that statement, but the interaction left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. Customer service should never involve hostility, disrespect, or language that feels discriminatory. I would not recommend this business, especially to people who expect professionalism, patience, and respectful treatment.

Though hesitant about self service, my husband and I decided to wash our 160lb Cane Corso ourselves. Anxiety consumed me because in my mind all I could picture was Bentley dragging me around and getting me soaking wet...lol! Nate & Janelle were absolutely amazing! They walked us through every step and though some people may think self-washing your dog is an easy task, it's not if your pet isn't cooperative. Again, a big thank you to Nate and Janelle for their hospitality and assistance in making this feat easy peezy! I recommend this establishment to all dog owners and we will be back!
