My mini goldendoodle is terrified of loud noises. Her whole body would quake, and she would try to run away when we'd take her to her previous groomer. We switched to Snazzy Jazzy's, fearing that she'd struggle everywhere we went. Instead, she now loves her groomer. She greets them with a joyfully wagging tail, and it gives us a lot of comfort. In the past, groomers didn't listen to our preferences, but at SJ's, the groomer makes sure that message sent is message received. I especially appreciate their boards of fake fur shaved down to different lengths; it's really helped me communicate, especially during the change of seasons when I'd like it shorter or longer. The health of our pups is their first priority. My pup has gained weight, and my groomer has kept detailed records, which they've communicated to me. I spoke to my vet about it so we could make a plan of action. Unfortunately, when addressing a different health concern, we discovered a mass. The groomer's meticulous tracking helped us determine that my pet's mass is benign. I can't begin to explain the relief this gave us. I usually groom my dogs to save $$, but grooming Bella has become too challenging so I decided to give Snazzy Jazzy a try, and I'm so happy I did... Bella smelt amazing and looked adorable thanks to Grace! I loved the convenience of scheduling the appointment online, having the option to be contacted if something opened up sooner, and communicating with Snazzy via text message. Everything was a breeze from start to finish and the staff was very kind, enthusiastic, and seemed to truly enjoy their jobs. Not to mention, the photos they sent me of Bella once she was done was so cute! At pick-up, Grace made sure I was completely satisfied, which I was. My friend picked him up from his last haircut and grooming and when I called to make an appointment I was told May 19th. This is unacceptable and worse My friend bought a gift card thinking that would be nice. Now we can't get on the schedule to use the gift card and and I asked if they could refund my friend and they said no. This business is obviously being run by other people you can't even speak to Ellie anymore so obviously it's no longer Ellie Grooming, Eli's place Not very good customer service. $40 dollars for my same dog 10 years ago, now he is considered aggressive and charge $95 for a 19 lb Shitzu. This place was wonderful! Extremely clean and all of the staff members were super nice. I got both of my dogs groomed, one a Yorkie (joey) and the other a Maltese- Yorkie mix (Oliver). Oliver had never been groomed before so I knew he was going to be a little anxious, the groomer, BRI, was extremely helpful and was so reassuring. Both of my dogs got the Snazzy Jazzy package which was awesome! It included a blueberry facial, paw balm, nail clippings, and teeth brushing. I told Bri she can do whatever she wants with their hair! When I came to pick up my dogs, they were so happy and smelled so good! I could tell they had a good time and loved. They were pretty matted so I expected most of their hair to be completely shaved off and to my surprise it wasn't! They look so handsome and I couldn't be more satisfied. I went to this groomer for a long time, since she was pregnant and worked at Jacksonville Vet. Unfortunately I am no longer using them bc last month I canceled an appointment the day before bc I had a bad cold/URI and I actually canceled as a courtesy to them. When I tried to reschedule they told me I had to pay a cancelation fee of $50 for each dog,I have 2. I had never seen such a policy and when I told her this she emailed me copy right then. I am very disappointed with this groomer and it is a shame to lose a good customer over something I knew nothing about. Also, a $50 fee for cancelation in less than 48hrs is a little exorbitant. Customer should keep this in mind. read more

I have been taking my dogs to Snazzy Jazzy for a number of years. Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated, and the groomers are often unpleasant and mean to the dogs. One instance my terrier mix dog fell of the table. The groomer immediately called me to come get my dog. When I arrived, an explanation was given, I didn't complain, and was told the groomer was to upset t provide services on my dog. So, nothing was done - no bath, no toe nails clipped nothing. BUT I WAS CHARGED FULL PRICE. I should have realized then that the groomer was skimping on grooming my dogs. When taking the dogs in another time, the groomer said my dog was too large (he'd been going there for at least 4 years) and due to his size she would not be able to groom him well. However, once again I was charged full amount even though my dog did not get the full service he needed. Snazzy Jazzy keeps raising prices and doing less. The house the work from is not air-conditioned often smells. No longer recommend this establishment. Awefull service. read more

This salon is wonderful! I currently had my Persian cat moved to Baltimore and was looking for a professional groomer who needed to be good at cat grooming, especially for long-hair Persian cat. And this salon did a great job on grooming my baby!! As my cat had already had some mats built up under his long thick coat due to shedding, I kindly asked the staff to try remove the mats with minimal cutting, lion cut was the last option for us if the mats were too bad. I'm really glad that they did a PERFECT job on just removing the mats but keeping good shape of his hair!! Since Persian cat needs regular grooming besides daily brushing, it is such a relief that I found SnazzyJazzy. Thousand thanks to the groomer. I would definitely come back and recommend other cat owners to try this salon. read more

Dropped off a Maltese. Was told before hand that the pricing was set to $65 for everything (wash, cut, teeth cleaning, & nail trimming). No communication but, a "heads up" through a text message that was sent to my phone when it was time to pick up my dog for a pricing update -- for an extra $10 matting fee; $10 "special handling" fee for biting and thrashing on the table lol smh dog is toy size. Not to mention a new set price of $70. Don't go to this place and if you do ask them to communicate all possible surcharges. read more

I am so glad I found Snazzy Jazzy's. After searching for awhile and reading reviews and calling different places the minute I spoke with Ellie I knew I would never take my golden Shelby anywhere else to get groomed. Shelby had never been groomed before and her hair was getting a little crazy (think Simba from Lion King) she had a mane that suddenly had grown around her neck, cute for a lion but not a golden! Ellie took the time to answer all my questions over the phone. I could tell that she was kind, caring and Shelby would be in good hands. When we went to drop her off Shelby tried to head towards the door and obviously wasnt keen on the idea of being there. Ellie calmed her down and off she went to get groomed. I didnt give Ellie much guidance I just wanted her to look like a normal golden and thats all she needed and I left the rest up to her. When we came to pick her up Shelby was totally happy, running around and even went back in the back area to grab more treats. I cannot explain how fantastic Shelby looked, she looked like a puppy again! I wish that I had taken her to Ellie long before we did! Not only did she look adorable she wasnt in any hurry to leave! This was the first time I took my dogs to get groomed here. I have two Yorkie's with long hair. I went through the details of how to trim them. When I picked them up - they didn't look any different except for a shampoo. I don't think they clipped their nails and couldn't tell where they were trimmed. The worst part is that I asked that they do not cut the hair around their face- they must have forgotten and then remembered because one side of the hair had on one dog's eyes is cut. Took them to a different groomer recently in Manchester with the same instructions and the dogs looked beautiful. read more

I could not be more disappointed based on other reviews. I have two pekingese who were last groomed the end of February. Our long time groomer was forced to close shop and retire as a result of COVID 19. I was so relieved when Snazzy Jazzy fit us in during partial reopening. I don't know their normal routine, because of the social distancing requirements. I was thorough in telling what they needed and left them. They were brought to my car when finished and I never saw them standing. When I got home, two dogs brushed almost everyday looked ragged and both had dozens on matts. Their paws were not trimmed. Their nails were not cut. I was very upset and left a voicemail. The very next day, someone called me and I was too upset. I paid $160 with tip and now had to have them regroomed. I did not trust these groomers to go back. My worst fears were confirmed today when we tried a new groomer. We were told they were washed, put in a drying cage that matted them, and never groomed. Never cut. Never trimmed. Buyer beware. I could not be more disappointed. read more

Went here as a first time customer to get my dog's nails clipped as we just moved out this way. Everything went pretty smoothly, in and out in probably about 5 minutes. As we pull up to our house, I noticed the blood stains on my backseat from my dog's back paw. I returned to the establishment to ask for a refund as I didn't think I should have to pay for a service that will ultimately cost me in the future for the blood stain removal. That's when things went downhill. The first associate I talked to said that they must have cut too close and mentioned that they put some sort of medicine whenever this happens and that usually stops the bleeding. I replied "well, clearly not" as the associate walked to the back to get someone else (maybe a member of management?) to come out and assist. Another associate returned and I relayed the same message: "I don't expect to be reimbursed for the upholstery cleaning, but I do expect a refund". The new associate said the same as the previous of the medicine usually working. After some back and forth, the new associate said she would give me a refund but that I should also "leave and never come back". She went on to say that sometimes the asphalt on the ground breaks away the medicine causing the blood to still come out. So, a quick recap: 1. They cut too close to my dog's paw, causing her to bleed and never mentioned this to me or my wife while we were there the first time. 2. They put some special medicine on my dog's paw but failed, again, to tell me that it doesn't really work because the asphalt outside tears it off. 3. They then get aggressive towards me and "banish me for life" when I ask for a refund. All this could have easily been avoided by just telling me during the first visit that they accidentally clipped too close and caused some bleeding. I have a gym towel in my trunk and could have put it down on the seat for the ride home. Instead, they kept quiet and got defensive during my second visit. All it would have taken is 5 seconds to avoid this entire mess... I cannot vouch for their grooming or dog care services, but I will say this. Please ask up front for them to communicate any mistakes that may happen or risk a couple hundred dollar upholstery bill later... read more

Ellie Pieper's Snazzy Jazzy's dog grooming place is NOT BBB ACCREDITED. I wish I had look at her FB Page before I took my fur girl there. My babies groomer is getting married and moving to Va., and I had two recommendations for Snazzy Jazzy's. I had to take her to the Vet the next day because they took off so much hair on her belly and tail that caused an infection. After paying $200 for grooming I had to take my fur baby the next day to the Vet and it cost me 186.80 and now I have to rub cream on her belly twice a day. Please look at her face book page before you take you babies there. She has so many face books out there. Look for the one that shows pictures of dogs they groomed. I have no clue why she has good rating unless they are her friends. read more

My boys love going to Snazzy Jazzy's! I have a Mini Australian Shepard and a small poodle/Maltese mix and Ellie and her team take such good care of them. They take extra precautions to make my dogs feel comfortable (Murphy is more hyper than most dogs and Chase is quite shy). I'm generally unable to call people while I'm working during the day (I don't get very good cell service where I am) but I was able to contact and make an appointment easily over email with Ellie, which was hugely convenient for me. Also when I had to cancel and ask for a later appointment, she was very accommodating. The grooming itself was perfect and exactly what I wanted. I've had minor problems in the past with other groomers asking for the fur to be cut shorter (and it wasn't), but definitely not with Ellie, she did a fantastic job and my fiance and I were extremely pleased. Also, as other reviews have stated, the price was very reasonable. So all in all, I would for sure recommend her, and we are definitely going to be coming back. read more
