I still can't speak about the BOTCHED dental job (veneers) I got on May 22--and it's exactly two…read moremonths later--at Laurel Smiles for $7,152!!! I loved my smile BEFORE my veneers! I had bonding for 40 years and had gotten a small chip, so I had a small gap again, which I wish I would've just kept! Dentists don't want to do bonding, anymore, as I guess there's not enough money in that. I keep wishing I could go back because I HATE MY TEETH NOW!!! I am someone who smiles constantly; now, I keep my mouth closed as much as I can. I had a small overbite, which I discussed with Dr. Cooper asking how the veneers would affect that. Three dentists, including Dr. Cooper, had expressed that my two front teeth were "too big." I love my teeth and have had 40 years of compliments about my smile! Dr. Cooper said she would do four veneers and make the two front teeth a little smaller and the other two slightly larger. After almost 6 weeks of a comedy of errors (wrong veneers sent twice, one the color was too dark (but probably not), the fourth and final ones in my mouth--I have two HUGE front buck teeth, a HUGE overbite (I'm so uncomfortable when people can see my teeth from the side), and the veneers are a TOTALLY DIFFERENT COLOR from my natural teeth!!!!!!! Oh, my veneers were EVEN BIGGER than they are now--I had Dr. Cooper shave them down!! I CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW I FEEL!!! I am having the veneers removed and ortho (Invisalign) because I can't even take a chance of another botched job! I paid $1500 for the ortho as that's what I was told at the other dentist office to get started. Turns out I need to pay another $3500 for a total of $5000 for them to do the gum surgery, temporary veneers, and ortho fitting. I just paid $7152 at Laurel Smiles, which brings me to $8,652 I've now spent. I can't afford to pay anymore right now, so I'm stuck with these HORRENDOUS things in my mouth until I can afford to get them removed and do the new treatment. On top of that, I will now be forced to wear a retainer in my mouth four nights a week for the rest of my life!!!!! If you're getting all veneers, maybe you'll be okay. If you're not, KEEP LOOKING FOR ANOTHER DENTIST!!!! I CAN'T EXPLAIN HOW I WISH I COULD TURN BACK TIME!!!! OH, THE REPAIR JOB--JUST UNDER $15,000 WITH A DISCOUNT!! Oh, I also do not bite into anything! My veneers are so thick, and my teeth don't meet like they should, and I'm afraid they'll pull off and split my gums!! As a business owner, I plan my schedule carefully and take time off work for these appointments -- time that I can't get back. On both occasions, the front desk staff claimed they had called and left a message to reschedule, yet I have no record of any missed call or voicemail. I'd be surprised if they could produce proof of one either. What makes this even more frustrating is that they send automatic text reminders a week in advance, which I have confirmed each time, only to show up and find my appointment gone. Their dental services are good, but due to the unprofessional handling of scheduling and communication, I will not be returning. This kind of disorganization and disregard for patients' time is unacceptable.

Dr. Shamad was HORRIBLE to me when putting in crowns--which I'm starting to think weren't even needed. He didn't give me enough novocaine or time for it to work before insisting that he had to start working--and he poured cold cement on an exposed nerve, which was the most pain I ever experienced in my life. He blamed ME for the pain. No bedside manner at all; no empathy. That was the final straw. Years later: my son needed emergency dental surgery because the crowns installed here were not done properly and infection had set in underneath them. Also, all three of the crowns that Samad gave me fell off and had to be redone by another dentist, costing me lots of money. Do not let this guy near your mouth. Maybe the other dentists are okay. If you cant afford the price quoted for HIS talented work, get another opinion from another dentist on their price for their work...its that simple. I had the most delightful visit with Dr. Garland 's office and that's saying a lot since I am trypanophobic and have dentophobia amongst my other chronic pain diseases. Nonetheless, when I finally got the courage not to cancel yet another appointment ( mainly because the pain had caused such a widespread infection that I finally talked myself into going for fear my head would come off) I was cheerfuly greeted as soon as I entered..(I told the receptionist I was scared)..then taken back after a few minutes of waiting.....greeted by the dental hygienist, Stuti ( by this time I was shaking....I told her I was scared) and she and I started talking like we had already know each other, she made me feel so unjudged. So I told her about all the self inflicted, ghetto makeshift foolery I had affixed to my teeth to prevent me from having to come to the dentist during pandemic. So then I met with his office manager, Ashanti and her assistant, Mariela, who broke down the cost of his plan of action and what my insurance would cover and what my financial obligations would be. They then offered to find available financial institutions who could assist me with my portion. Now, if you have your own resources or financial institution to use, you can do so as the accept CareCredit and other forms of payment. They even offer their OWN dental program and payment plans!!! They REALLY work with you and the office is SOOOO CHILLL and relaxing and booked and busy that I started to feel like it's a " in thing" to just roll up to the dentist real quick and get a little adjustment or whatever and bounce.....like, is THIS the place to be?? I mean, young and old are just up in there like they coming to visit family...You hear giggling and laughing and jazz playing in the speakers... I mean....I'm certainly not scared to come see him anymore and I've been consistent now since April!!!! Every month, for root scaling and all kinds of invasive procedures to try to restore my gum health in preparation for a big dental surgery....and you know what?? While I STILL have my phobia of needles, Dr. Davis ( at this point I feel like he's my uncle‍ don't ask me why, but I finally TRUST him like a family member and that's BIG coming from an abuse survivor) I believe has rid me of my dentophobia so I PRAY he stays in practice so I won't have to test this theory out with anyone else. Dentist (Dr. R) had to review my dental history, which my previous dentist had burned to a CD. My previous dentist retired. The information was transferred Dr. R's program /system right away, so Dr. Ramondo didn't skip a beat. She wanted to take X-rays and double checked my history so we weren't X-raying too much. She did a very thorough exam and cleaning. And also checked my bite guard. Dr. Ramondo and Brenda were very friendly.
