We arrived without reservations, so we sat at the bar table. There was a couple on one end and a few guys on the other end, so we sat in the middle and the entire table became a big party. It was such an enjoyable evening. The shrimp carbonara was delicious as were everyone else's dishes. The only odd thing is they had Guinness in a can, but didn't offer me a glass. We booked our reservation at Chart House for 9 of us for my friend's birthday about 2 months in advance. We were finally seated 30 minutes after our reservation time, and the table was too small to fit us all. After we waited for them to reset the table, it was 45 minutes after our scheduled reservation time. The hostess was apologetic and said it was due to staffing and graduation weekend--- shouldn't matter when we had a standing reservation. The manager, AJ, was excellent and super attentive once we were seated. I can't say the same for the wait staff unfortunately. Food was mid for price point. Menu stated order chocolate lava cake 30 minutes ahead to allow for prep. What was served was a mediocre dry cold chocolate cupcake with chocolate sauce drizzled on it. Did not meet the basic definition of a lava cake. It was taken off the bill, no apology. All in all quite disappointing. Observed other tables with attending waitresses and waiters looking after their quests. Locals? This Chart house rates below others I am experienced with and brings the franchise down. read more

Disregarded bad reviews and SOOO glad we did. Went for an early dinner......ended up sitting at a table in the bar area so we could watch the Chiefs play. We started with Fried Green Tomatoes and as my mother said.... I've never tasted them so good. They were lightly breaded with a tempura type crust. Topped with cheese and a warm shrimp roumalade. I had a peartini which was delicious. Two of us had the herb crusted salmon with a mustard buerre blanc with garlic mashed potatoes. The other person had the Chilean sea bass over lobster risotto with a roasted tomato buerre blanc. We ended with a crème brûlée flight that was a perfect end to a perfect meal. Our server Dani from the bar was very attentive and the manager came by two times to check on us. Service was amazing.! Ambience was lovely. Caesar salad, a bit saturated with dressing, and a little to the wilty side. That brought the overall experience down one star. They Seabass was incredible as was the spinach. The New York State came out gray and very well done, after ordering a medium, they brought me a replacement. Since my wife's dish was completely gone, as I patiently waited, I feel like they should've comped the steak since I had nothing to eat, but a piece of meat when it finally arrived. The second strip was very good, but if they want to have good customer service, I should not have paid for that steak at all! Hence the second missing star. read more

Chart House in Savannah has always been amazing. During my time down there I loved the happy hour at Chart House. It ran from 5-7 and had a few drink options but the food was where it was at. Calamari, a version of bang bang shrimp and prime rib sliders to name a few. The surface was usually really good from the bartenders during the week. It was an exceptionally busy. It is set in an old dimly lit building, but what isn't in Savannah. Overall a place I would recommend for an app and drink before dinner read more

Horrible service at dinner experience. We wont go back. Started at Bar the drinks were not good. Went to dinner table outside for my daughter graduation celebration and we had to ask for water several times. The food and drinks were very slow. My daughter asked for mac and cheese and the server never came back to talk to her about it. My other daughter had a over cooked fellit. We did the special and said she will put in the lava cake in when we started eating and we waited over 30 minutes after we ate dinner waiting for the lava cake wasn't done. Thankful for the sweet young lady who tried to keep things rolling, I wish I could remember her name, she should get the entire tip for the night and be promoted to supervisor of Steven. Waiter stopped by and noticed we hadn't had our food yet (had he been more attentive to our table he would have known sooner we were still waiting), so went back to check on it. the manager came out to apologize but didn't offer for us to get any type of compensation the wait. Service was sub-par. Went to celebrate our 30th anniversary as we always patronize Chart House restaurants when we travel. We ordered prime rib, which wasn't available (at 6:30p). Then we always get the mud pie, that wasn't available. The mgr did come to our table and stayed the chef was in an accident and he was doing the best he could and laughed! He did offer a mini lava cake for the inconvenience. which we declined. Not the way we wanted to celebrate. Came for our anniversary, Quinton was the best server I have had anywhere in very long time. Despite it being his first day on the floor by himself he was extremely knowledgeable, and attentive. We ate here for Christmas dinner. We had reservations and were seated on time. We were given their limited Christmas menu which had a 3 course dinner option for $69 per person. Luckily there were great options within each category so that wasn't a problem for us. The food did not disappoint, I'm glad we ate here for Christmas. My husband and I enjoyed the clam chowder, the lobster bisque was okay. My husband had the NY strip steak which he said was great. I had the seared Chilean sea bass which was really delicious, it came with lobster risotto which was phenomenal. For dessert we had the hot chocolate lava cake and bread pudding type cake (don't remember the name - see photo). Both were good but the lava cake was our favorite. My only complaint was that the Diet Coke was watered down, it looked like tea and tasted like water. The waitress tried to get me another glass but it was the same so she removed it from the bill. The service was good, very kind staff. If I return to Savannah I would definitely eat at Chart House again. Street parking off of River Street was pretty easy to find. read more

They were so good I forgot to take photos except for the Key lime Pie which was delicious! Meatball appetizer excellent, fillet and seafood bouillabaisse were outstanding. They did try to make it up by giving us free salad or soup which was nice. It was listed as fine dining so we dressed up but all the other guests were wearing jeans and sweatshirts. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly but had no flavor. At the end we got a lava cake and they gave us an anniversary cake that was red velvet. The dessert was delicious! Best part of the meal! Had an amazing dining experience on New Year's Day. Stayed in Savannah for 2 nights from our trip back home from the NC mountains and came here for the second year straight. It was busier this year but still wonderful service. Food and wine were great. Highly recommend the lobster bisque. Lobster tail and filet mignon were absolutely delicious. I've lived in Savannah my entire life and the Chart house is one of the staples in my families life. We have celebrated birthdays, graduations, business meetings and simply just dinner. I was greatly sadden when I ate there with a friend Feb 14. Our reservations were perfectly at 930. Our server was a salt and peppered older white lady and once we sat she immediately asked if we were ready to order... How if we just sat??? As another table sat down she immediately greeted them and named all of the specials going on for that day. We were just upset we didn't get the same treatment and was rushed to order...
