We went to the area where they shuck the oysters and we greeted by the shuckers by giving each of us a freshly shucked Bull River oyster. They are awesome! Thank you for the sample. Our server Bill was there about a minute after the shuckers gave us our sample and provided awesome service! We had the St. James oysters as well as the Bull River oysters along with the Manhattan Clam Chowder (red not creamy) and some peel & eat shrimp along with some ice cold Miller Lite drafts! The restaurant has some indoor and outdoor seating with a mix of tables and banquets along the walls. It was comfortable without being too crowded. This was my first visit to The Public but It definitely won't be my last.
