Stunning absolutely stunning...,everything from the building to the food to the staff. The second you walk in everything is so warm and inviting, To start we had "Much Appreciated" cocktail which in fact was appreciated and delicious! My date had the old fashioned which came with their signature ice with their initials. For starters we had their amazing wedge salad which frankly was the best wedge salad I have EVER had. The blue cheese is from London so you know it's amazing. The Mae's Milk Bread was so fluffy and the salt on top was spectacular and really brought out the flavor of the bread. We had to try their luxury bites which was small but mighty! (Sauternes, Calamansi, Pink Peppercorn). For our main dishes we had Ora King Salmon which was mouth melting salmon along with their asparagus and mashed potatoes it was absolutely delicious. My date had the Porterhouse stake....i don't think there is enough words in the dictionary to describe how delicious this stake was.....it was truly melt in your mouth good....it was so good we were about to hug the chef. If you are looking for a top notch stake house this is the place to go. You are treated like a gem. They actually care about your experience and make sure you have a night you will never forget.

This new Savannah spot was incredible in all aspects. I sat at the bar, and the service was attentive and friendly. The space itself has beautiful high ceilings and great light. Although, it is a new building it fits right in with the historic city. The food and drinks were excellent as well. My steak was cooked perfectly, the Mac & Cheese was decadent, and the luxury bites were fun starters for a solo diner. For my taste, the Caesar salad was a little lightly dressed but it still packed great flavor.

    That damn creme brûlée wow

The meat was more firm than flaky and I liked that texture. The collard greens and grits were decent. Complimentary Buttermilk Biscuits (5/5): Phenomenal biscuits that were buttery, soft, and moist. The buttermilk added a sweetness that I really enjoyed. Shrimp spring rolls (4/5): Thin crispy shell. Loved that it was just meat inside. The Italian sausage and seafood was a unique flavor combo. Fettuccine (4/5): Surprisingly large portion size. The pasta itself had an ok texture but the flavors of the dish worked really well. I especially liked the sweetness of the shrimp that cut through the rich cream sauce. It may sound crazy - but I would actually skip the entrees and order multiple appetizers and salads. The BLT salad was incredible. The crab cake app was so good. And the fried green tomatoes were delish!

I was debating between the Fried green tomato BLT or the Caprese Grilled cheese then our server Kristin suggested the mussels and that is what I ended up with and I am so glad I did. These were absolutely the best mussels I've ever had. The sauce was not the traditional garlic/shallot wine sauce but had more tomato and basil reminiscent of warm bruschetta. I had to borrow my husbands spoon to get every bit of that sauce after I finished my mussels. My husband had the famous shrimp and grits which he absolutely loved. He noted it wasn't overpowered with sausage like most other restaurants do but had a perfect balance of flavor. My mom got the lamb burger and also loved every bite. She loved lamb so as soon as she saw that she had no doubt what she was going to order. Both my husband and mom loved every bite. I can see why The Public Kitchen is so popular. The restaurant has some indoor and outdoor seating with a mix of tables and banquets along the walls. It was comfortable without being too crowded. This was my first visit to The Public but It definitely won't be my last.
