    Calamari
    Becca P.

This experience was a 10 out of 10. Only thing we weren't satisfied with was the calamari, and there was no discussion about it. It was instantly removed from our tab and our table. Our server was very tolerant to our large parties chaos and we truly enjoyed ourselves all around,m; forgetting to document our dinners but everything was delicious.

My daughter and I were on vacation and stopped in this place for dinner. Wonderful evening! I would recommend the Hummus and pita appetizer and seafood was also fresh! Hats off to the chef!!

We usually pass under this restaurant on the riverfront and don't think about dining here, but this visit, we made a point of making a reservation to dine here. We are very glad we did this as we had a much better dining experience with excellent service.

We arrived without reservations, so we sat at the bar table. There was a couple on one end and a few guys on the other end, so we sat in the middle and the entire table became a big party. It was such an enjoyable evening. The shrimp carbonara was delicious as were everyone else's dishes. The only odd thing is they had Guinness in a can, but didn't offer me a glass. I asked for one and it was not chilled, which was no big deal, but I've never experienced that before.

The food and location is amazing! As a Landry's member I chose to take my coworkers here and they never disappoint! The prime rib came as I ordered it and the mashed potatoes are so good. The restaurant is nice and clean as well as well maintained. Service was excellent but that is as expected from a Chart House.

The place was very nice and had a good atmosphere. I got the course meal which came with a small clam chowder, steak and shrimp and lava cake. All of it was amazing and my steak was cooked perfectly. Our service was pretty good, the server could have checked on us a bit more but was very nice. would go again!

Worst food ever!! Don't come here' she crab soup and rotten lettuce!

I think this place should be called "shart" house as the entire meal we had here was awful. Runny she crab soup, wilted lettuce and drinks that taste like vomit. A 100 bucks later we ran out! The waitress was excellent the place doesn't deserve her!

    The Chilean Sea Bass entree

Disregarded bad reviews and SOOO glad we did. Went for an early dinner......ended up sitting at a table in the bar area so we could watch the Chiefs play. We started with Fried Green Tomatoes and as my mother said.... I've never tasted them so good. They were lightly breaded with a tempura type crust. Topped with cheese and a warm shrimp roumalade. I had a peartini which was delicious. Two of us had the herb crusted salmon with a mustard buerre blanc with garlic mashed potatoes. The other person had the Chilean sea bass over lobster risotto with a roasted tomato buerre blanc. We ended with a crème brûlée flight that was a perfect end to a perfect meal. Our server Dani from the bar was very attentive and the manager came by two times to check on us. I couldn't make a stronger recommendation for anyone looking for a great meal, great service, and great environment!

    Best spinach ever

Service was amazing.! Ambience was lovely. Caesar salad, a bit saturated with dressing, and a little to the wilty side. That brought the overall experience down one star. They Seabass was incredible as was the spinach. The New York State came out gray and very well done, after ordering a medium, they brought me a replacement. Since my wife's dish was completely gone, as I patiently waited, I feel like they should've comped the steak since I had nothing to eat, but a piece of meat when it finally arrived. The second strip was very good, but if they want to have good customer service, I should not have paid for that steak at all! Hence the second missing star.

Chart House Grill definitely satisfied my steak craving! The service was great--our waitress was super kind and helpful. The ambiance was peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect spot for a nice meal. My dad and I ordered steak, and my wife had the salmon--everything was absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be coming back for another steak soon!

That search led me to The Olde Pink House--a magnificent historic mansion dating back to 1771, now home to one of Savannah's most memorable restaurants. The décor is beautiful, with antique furnishings, fireplaces, elegant woodwork, chandeliers, and enough historical character to make any ghost hunter feel immediately at home. The building is surprisingly large, with numerous dining rooms, each decorated and arranged differently. Exploring it feels almost like wandering through a well-preserved haunted mansion--though thankfully, the staff were much friendlier than the ghosts I had recently captured. The food was excellent, and everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. I'm not usually much of a beer drinker, but I tried the Hostess City, a craft beer brewed exclusively for The Olde Pink House, and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Our server was wonderful, and we were even able to exchange ghost stories with them. We all had a good laugh, although I'm fairly certain one of the portraits nearby was laughing along with us. We arrived dressed entirely in black, and not a single person batted an eye. In Savannah, this is apparently considered perfectly respectable evening attire--or perhaps everyone simply assumed we were attending a funeral for one of the restless dead. After dinner, we asked whether we could explore the other sections of the restaurant, and we were told it would be no problem. We were able to visit the different dining rooms and examine the antiques and objects respectfully without disturbing the other guests. Be sure to visit the bar downstairs, Planters Tavern. It has a wonderfully haunted atmosphere, with brick walls, old-world décor, and a beautiful fireplace that must be especially inviting during the winter months. The basement's fireplaces were reportedly part of the home's original kitchen, which only adds to the feeling that the room remembers far more than it lets on. The Olde Pink House offers excellent food, beautiful surroundings, friendly service, and just enough supernatural atmosphere to keep a ghost hunter interested. I arrived looking for somewhere to recover from the night's haunting. I left well fed, pleasantly spirits-laden, and only mildly concerned that one of the ghosts may have followed me home.

It was dimly lit and had a warm, inviting atmosphere and our server was awesome! To start, we all got the cucumber blossom cocktail. I got mine with tequila and the server was very knowledgeable about the drinks and the liquors that would work well with each one. We decided the best route for us was to split 2 apps and 2 entrees. For appetizers, we went with the focaccia and the crispy brussel sprouts. Both were AMAZING! I always love bread to start a meal. And the Brussels were nice and soaked in balsamic glaze, which maybe diminished the "crispy" in the title... but I didn't mind because they were delicious. For our entrees, we went with the gnocchi and the catfish served over grits. I would say the standout was the catfish. The gnocchi was good, but not as good as the other dishes we had. Overall we had a great experience splurging a bit on a nice meal. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation on the weekends. They seemed to be busy!

It felt like a quick dismissal. I had to ask if there was a waitlist, and only then were we told it was about 45 minutes. On top of that, parts of the conversation were directed to my husband rather than me (even though I was the one speaking), which didn't sit right. This interaction was with a hostess [long hair, glasses]. Thankfully, another hostess [short blonde hair, orange pants] stepped in, and they shuffled some tables, and got us seated -- which we really appreciated, especially with a toddler. From there, the experience completely turned around. The ambiance was really cute -- dim lighting with little candles that made it feel cozy and romantic. Our server [tall, muscular] was fantastic and the food was genuinely very good. So here's the takeaway: the kitchen and service once seated are strong, but the first impression at the door needs work. It shouldn't take a second ask to feel like a guest.

Been here for both dinner and lunch. All this said, I think my approach to this review is comprehensive. With regard to food, I think they have a decent (not expansive) selection of food, which I think lends itself to quality. They do most things really well. This said, I do think there is inconsistency based on staff at the restaurant. On one occasion they have accommodated a request, and on another I was denied the exact same request. I found this frustrating. On one occasion I've also seen management talk down to staff here, which is a big no no for me. All people (especially staff) are due respect and this rubbed me the wrong way. This was an isolated incident but it definitely made my dining experience uncomfortable. Especially because I was getting excellent service from the server!!! I've always had quality service from servers here. In the future, I would come to Rhett for convenience as a hotel guest (the hotel is lovely), but would likely not spend my money if I wasn't staying at the hotel. Overall- it's good food, decent ambiance... but there are soooo many good options in Savannah. You have to be exceptional to stand out in that city.

Sitting along the river while watching massive cargo ships slowly make their way toward the Atlantic creates one of those uniquely Savannah experiences you simply can't find anywhere else. Our server, Matthew, was outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely made the evening even more enjoyable. Service like his is a big part of what turns a great meal into an unforgettable one. Now, the food... The crab cake was one of the best I've ever had--easily 95% lump crab with barely any filler. Just fresh, sweet crab prepared perfectly. The beef carpaccio was elegant, incredibly flavorful, and disappeared far too quickly. Then came the French onion soup. There's a reason the National Onion Association recognized it as the best. Rich, deeply caramelized, perfectly balanced, and topped with a blanket of bubbling cheese. Without question, the best French onion soup I've ever had. The black truffle scallops were buttery, tender, and absolutely decadent. The evening's special--a blackened filet paired with shrimp linguine--was phenomenal. The filet was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp linguine brought bold Cajun flavors that made us feel like we had been transported straight to Louisiana. To finish it all off, watching enormous cargo ships leave the Port of Savannah bound for destinations around the world while enjoying an incredible meal is an experience all its own. Vic's on the River delivered on every level: exceptional food, first-class service, and an atmosphere that's impossible to duplicate. This wasn't just another dinner--it was one of the highlights of our trip to Savannah. Don't leave without ordering the French onion soup. The vibe is rustic, farmhouse-ish and a little more elevated than casual. Meanwhile, we walked in wearing sports gear. Nobody cared. The service was great, and our server, Antoinette, basically guided the entire meal--and we listened. We started with the deviled eggs and hot fried chicken. The deviled eggs were probably the only thing I could've used a little more flavor from, but the chicken? Fried perfectly, incredibly moist, and tasted like somebody had the good sense to brine it first. Then came the chicken schnitzel, collard greens and crispy Brussels sprouts. Listen. Those collard greens might have been my favorite thing I ate in Savannah. Tender, seasoned, and with this flavor I couldn't quite place--to the point that I asked Antoinette how they made them. The schnitzel was perfectly fried with this macaroni gravy situation that absolutely worked. And the Brussels sprouts? Plate demolished. Roasted with carrots and some kind of tangy vinegar reduction. Not a sprout left behind. I ordered the special: avocado toast with dollops of crab, arugula and radishes. Fresh, bright, well-seasoned. Chef's kiss. Then Antoinette told us to get the donuts, so obviously we got the donuts. Warm cinnamon-sugar yeast donuts with strawberry sauce, plus we added the vanilla bean gelato. Somewhere between the lightness of Krispy Kreme and the cakier bite of Dunkin'--and exactly what we needed to end the meal. We did try a cocktail, and it was fine, but honestly? Come here to EAT. Get a classic cocktail if you want one, but I'd spend my money working my way through this menu. Repeal 33 did not miss. If someone asked me where they should have a really good dinner in Savannah, this is where I'm sending them. Easily one of the better meals I've had traveling--and officially on my list of restaurants I'd go out of my way to eat at again.
