    Petite Filet

Malik was my server and he was phenomenal. Everyone worrying that night, Onaje and manager Jamil included, were lovely. I ordered a tossed Caesar starter, the filet mignon with a side of mushrooms, and the chocolate sin cake. Everything was cooked and prepared beautifully. I usually like at least a dab of horseradish with my steak but it was cooked so well I didn't even want it. The mushrooms are decadent and large. The Caesar was tossed heavy (which I prefer) and had plenty of cheese and pepper. I was sat at a table on the bar area right away, even though it was a holiday night. I was able to enjoy my meal peacefully and appreciate the excellent service.

Having dinner at this restaurant is always a special treat. The food and the service is always impeccable. The wait to be seated could be improved.

Definitely the spot for fake rich people to money flex online. Tons of better options for the money. I had the salmon and it was pretty decent but I've had much before for much less money so wasn't super impressed. The ambiance of the place was nice but also not stellar. I think this place mainly gets carried by its name, however, it is better than a lot of other upscale chain steakhouses so I can't hate on it too much. Service was pretty great, but our server did accidentally spill one of our wine bottles and never brought a replacement. Wasn't a huge deal but it would've been nice since he spilled half the damn thing . Overall, pretty decent. I see this place as a Texas Roadhouse/Outback on steroids; not truly worth the price but definitely a solid meal.

The ambiance was the best experience of the restaurant, The service was ok had a 7pm reservation but didn't get seated until 7:50pm and also the Wife ordered a drink in which the waiter had forgot . The food was ok as well for it to be Ruth Chris I was expecting a whole lot more for the price . So in closing the restaurant is more the ambience and for special occasions dinner and for tell people you went to Ruth Chris.

The service from our server Sasha is horrible..unattentive,short, curt and kind of rude. I'm still waiting for a Togo we ordered like 10 mins ago. The place was not crowed. I am so disappointed in Ruth's Chris I don't knwo what to do. WE will not be back.. the manager, however, tried to rectify the situation and found her to be fair and genuine..that's her..

    Creamed Spinach

Dining at Ruth's Chris Steak House on West Bay Street in Savannah is a masterclass in combining Southern hospitality with upscale steakhouse precision. Housed in a historic building that perfectly captures the city's "Southern Gothic" charm, the atmosphere strikes an elegant balance between high-end dining and local character. The service was impeccable, with our server guiding us through a flawless evening that centered on the spectacular 40-ounce Tomahawk Ribeye. This specialty cut arrived on a sizzling 500-degree plate, its frenched bone adding dramatic flair to a dish that was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, boasting a salty, charred crust and a melt-in-your-mouth interior rich with marrow flavor. Paired with the signature Creamed Spinach--a velvety, soufflé-like masterpiece with warm notes of nutmeg that cut through the richness of the beef--the meal was unforgettable. While the price point reflects the premium quality, the combination of consistent execution, theatrical presentation, and the unique Savannah setting makes it a highly recommended experience for any special occasion.

After capturing several ghosts in Savannah, I found myself in desperate need of a proper meal, a…read morestrong drink, and a place where the spirits would remain in their glasses. That search led me to The Olde Pink House--a magnificent historic mansion dating back to 1771, now home to one of Savannah's most memorable restaurants. The décor is beautiful, with antique furnishings, fireplaces, elegant woodwork, chandeliers, and enough historical character to make any ghost hunter feel immediately at home. The building is surprisingly large, with numerous dining rooms, each decorated and arranged differently. Exploring it feels almost like wandering through a well-preserved haunted mansion--though thankfully, the staff were much friendlier than the ghosts I had recently captured. The food was excellent, and everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. I'm not usually much of a beer drinker, but I tried the Hostess City, a craft beer brewed exclusively for The Olde Pink House, and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Our server was wonderful, and we were even able to exchange ghost stories with them. We all had a good laugh, although I'm fairly certain one of the portraits nearby was laughing along with us. We arrived dressed entirely in black, and not a single person batted an eye. In Savannah, this is apparently considered perfectly respectable evening attire--or perhaps everyone simply assumed we were attending a funeral for one of the restless dead. After dinner, we asked whether we could explore the other sections of the restaurant, and we were told it would be no problem. We were able to visit the different dining rooms and examine the antiques and objects respectfully without disturbing the other guests. Be sure to visit the bar downstairs, Planters Tavern. It has a wonderfully haunted atmosphere, with brick walls, old-world décor, and a beautiful fireplace that must be especially inviting during the winter months. The basement's fireplaces were reportedly part of the home's original kitchen, which only adds to the feeling that the room remembers far more than it lets on. The Olde Pink House offers excellent food, beautiful surroundings, friendly service, and just enough supernatural atmosphere to keep a ghost hunter interested. I arrived looking for somewhere to recover from the night's haunting. I left well fed, pleasantly spirits-laden, and only mildly concerned that one of the ghosts may have followed me home.

It was dimly lit and had a warm, inviting atmosphere and our server was awesome! To start, we all got the cucumber blossom cocktail. I got mine with tequila and the server was very knowledgeable about the drinks and the liquors that would work well with each one. We decided the best route for us was to split 2 apps and 2 entrees. For appetizers, we went with the focaccia and the crispy brussel sprouts. Both were AMAZING! I always love bread to start a meal. And the Brussels were nice and soaked in balsamic glaze, which maybe diminished the "crispy" in the title... but I didn't mind because they were delicious. For our entrees, we went with the gnocchi and the catfish served over grits. I would say the standout was the catfish. The gnocchi was good, but not as good as the other dishes we had. Overall we had a great experience splurging a bit on a nice meal. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation on the weekends. They seemed to be busy!

It felt like a quick dismissal. I had to ask if there was a waitlist, and only then were we told it was about 45 minutes. On top of that, parts of the conversation were directed to my husband rather than me (even though I was the one speaking), which didn't sit right. This interaction was with a hostess [long hair, glasses]. Thankfully, another hostess [short blonde hair, orange pants] stepped in, and they shuffled some tables, and got us seated -- which we really appreciated, especially with a toddler. From there, the experience completely turned around. The ambiance was really cute -- dim lighting with little candles that made it feel cozy and romantic. Our server [tall, muscular] was fantastic and the food was genuinely very good. So here's the takeaway: the kitchen and service once seated are strong, but the first impression at the door needs work. It shouldn't take a second ask to feel like a guest.

Been here for both dinner and lunch. All this said, I think my approach to this review is comprehensive. With regard to food, I think they have a decent (not expansive) selection of food, which I think lends itself to quality. They do most things really well. This said, I do think there is inconsistency based on staff at the restaurant. On one occasion they have accommodated a request, and on another I was denied the exact same request. I found this frustrating. On one occasion I've also seen management talk down to staff here, which is a big no no for me. All people (especially staff) are due respect and this rubbed me the wrong way. This was an isolated incident but it definitely made my dining experience uncomfortable. Especially because I was getting excellent service from the server!!! I've always had quality service from servers here. In the future, I would come to Rhett for convenience as a hotel guest (the hotel is lovely), but would likely not spend my money if I wasn't staying at the hotel. Overall- it's good food, decent ambiance... but there are soooo many good options in Savannah. You have to be exceptional to stand out in that city.

Sitting along the river while watching massive cargo ships slowly make their way toward the Atlantic creates one of those uniquely Savannah experiences you simply can't find anywhere else. Our server, Matthew, was outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely made the evening even more enjoyable. Service like his is a big part of what turns a great meal into an unforgettable one. Now, the food... The crab cake was one of the best I've ever had--easily 95% lump crab with barely any filler. Just fresh, sweet crab prepared perfectly. The beef carpaccio was elegant, incredibly flavorful, and disappeared far too quickly. Then came the French onion soup. There's a reason the National Onion Association recognized it as the best. Rich, deeply caramelized, perfectly balanced, and topped with a blanket of bubbling cheese. Without question, the best French onion soup I've ever had. The black truffle scallops were buttery, tender, and absolutely decadent. The evening's special--a blackened filet paired with shrimp linguine--was phenomenal. The filet was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp linguine brought bold Cajun flavors that made us feel like we had been transported straight to Louisiana. To finish it all off, watching enormous cargo ships leave the Port of Savannah bound for destinations around the world while enjoying an incredible meal is an experience all its own. Vic's on the River delivered on every level: exceptional food, first-class service, and an atmosphere that's impossible to duplicate. This wasn't just another dinner--it was one of the highlights of our trip to Savannah. Don't leave without ordering the French onion soup.
