We had our fill of outside time, so opted for indoors (same amazing oceanview & AC!) Had a great table by the window, could see the ocean. Our server Jenna H. was witty, attentive and had excellent menu recommendations. They were out of wings, and she suggested chicken tenders that she would have them baste in the wing sauce. Creative solution! The chip trio app is great with salsa, queso & guacamole. We enjoyed very much Asked about the fish & chips, and she said it was one of the most popular menu items because it was excellent. She was right! Ordered takeout for my friends and I and the food was great! When we went to pick it up, the staff were super friendly (especially the bartender) and helpful with recommendations for other spots to visit on our trip. We didn't stay and eat in restaurant, but it wasn't too loud or cramped when we picked it up. The server over the phone misheard me a lot and got a few things wrong with our order, but they were very small and not super consequential. The shrimp was yummy but I wish the seasoning hadn't all been on the outside of the shell. But everything was well made and we ate it up so quickly! read more

We were staying at the Beachside Colony, so this was a super easy choice for us to go to. The first visit, it took quite a while to have someone come over and bring us water, though there were quite a few people working that weren't otherwise engaged. Our server was very nice when she did come over, but didn't go through any specials (which I ended up overhearing after we had ordered from another server at an adjacent table). I wound up with a poke bowl, my mom had peel and eat shrimp, and my dad had either the grilled chicken sandwich or something else (I know he had the chicken sandwich at some point!). I thought the poke bowl was really tasty and both my parents liked their food as well, though I think I enjoyed mine more. The second meal we had was takeout: my mom and I split the BLTA and my dad had whatever second meal, whether the sandwich or something else. We both really liked the BLTA, and whenever my dad had the grilled chicken sandwich he very much enjoyed it. It's a handy spot to go to, and I'd recommend and go again if in the area. read more

Again another 1st, The food is wonderful we all enjoyed our our meals, the flavors were great, food hot and hit the spot for our last meal on the island. Our waitress Jacqui was excellent, she made the evening wonderful so we could enjoy our time together. It was my wife's sister 75th birthday weekend. The atmosphere is wonderful, good beach view, but it was raining and couldn't get any ocean views but will be back on a sunny day. Awesome beachfront dining with one point of warning. Outside on the porch is a lovely spot for a meal, beverage or both. Just be aware that the local birds have an issue with outsiders sharing their space. Good Luck or not - no one likes being pooped on! We ordered strawberry daiquiris and a Tybee Salad and a chicken sandwich. Both items were tasty and filled the space available in our tummies. I came here for a bachelorette party, and we all had a great experience eating dinner at The Deck! Before sitting down, we were all able to get a seat at the bar and enjoy a drink. They have a variety of fun drinks, but the favorites were the banana daiquiri, which was unique but delicious, and both their Aperol and Hugo spritz! They have reasonable prices and more casual food, but a few of us ordered the steak quesadilla and loved it. Our service was great, the food came quickly, and the drinks were delicious. There is direct beach access as well, so it's a perfect spot for lunch if you are already on the beach, or to catch the sunset after dinner. If you're lucky enough to actually make it to The Deck, it's a great little spot to hang out on Tybee. Good luck figuring out how to park. It's technically beachfront, but don't go expecting sweeping ocean views. I think you have to sit at the bar to see them - we couldn't from our table. Still, definitely sit outside if you can. The atmosphere is relaxed and exactly what you want after a beach day. We loved our server. She was really great! Skip the oysters, though. That was probably the one miss for us. This place is in the midst of a hotel. We were a little unsure where exactly it was located but they do have enough signs to get you to the restaurant. We were greeted and seated right seat. Service was overall excellent. The food presentation was great, but man does it lack flavor. We started with the chorizo roasted corn dip. It had very little flavor and the chips were kind of stale. My husband had the deck burger, it was watery and no flavor. How do you mess up a burger so bad? I had the chicken and waffle sandwich. First, there's no way to eat this as a sandwich, but that's ok. The waffle part was one of the best waffles I've ever had. The jalapeño syrup and chipotle mayo were great but man that chicken was the biggest disappointment. It looked amazing. This place is fabulous! Staff is very friendly, fun and welcoming! They don't rush you, and instead encourage you to enjoy your time there. Location is fantastic, you are right next to the beach and there's a constant breeze coming from the ocean (always bring something to wear on top). The ambience is overall very cute, simple and romantic at the same time. Also nice to enjoy with family (grown up family - I feel like kids wouldn't have a lot of space to run around ). We had chips and dips, two cocktails (key lime martini and pink flamingo) and a white wine (brut). My favorite was definitely the key lime martini, but that's of course a matter of taste. If I were in tybee island for more days, I would most likely be at this place every evening! (They also have food, but we got here for an after dinner) read more

Since The Deck is conveniently located on the beach and connected to the Beachside Colony resort, I decided to stop in for lunch after the beach. I was greeted immediately and sat outside. I ordered a Miami Vice and the shrimp tacos. The drink was nice and refreshing after a long day in the sun, but the shrimp tacos were bland and underwhelming. However, the server was very friendly and attentive and gave me a recommendation for brunch the next day (as they no longer serve brunch themselves). I may go back and sit at the bar as the views are pleasant, but I don't think I would go again for a full meal. read more

Wouldn't serve me, a 43 year old a beer because I forgot my ID. Claimed it was because of undercover cops. Guess what, while it is illegal to serve someone under age, it's not illegal to serve a 43 year old without an ID. I had several pictures of my ID on my phone. Oh man, what a fantastic way to end our vacation. We wanted to grab a late lunch before we took the kids to the beach for their final time. We looked at reviews for this place and were so happy we listened. Everything we had was delicious. I went here while on vacation with my family for dinner. In total we had a party of eight with one of our party members being my adorable baby nephew. We were seated promptly and they provided us with a highchair for him. The waitress came and greeted us quickly after we were seated. We ended up doing a starter of the shrimp nachos and pretzel as appetizers and I had a pina colada to drink. For me, the shrimp nachos were just ok. While it's a novelty, it wasn't something that I would get again. I did not have the pretzel, so I can't comment on that. My frozen pina colada came out with a different color than I normally associate with pina colodas which is white. Mine and my brothers were both off colored, and taste was meh. I got the deck burger and the burger was ok. Our waitress did check on us occasionally and was very accommodating concerning the dietary requests of my nephew. The Tybee salad had a huge mound of arugula but was scant on the champagne dressing and Candied Pecans, Goat Cheese and Strawberries. The Tempura Battered Fish Sandwich was extremely bland and in desperate need of salt or lemon. Even with malt vinegar I couldn't coax any flavor out of it and only ate a third of it. The Deck Burger was bland as well despite including Smoked Bacon, Smoked Provolone, Caramelized Onions, Tarragon Aioli, Bacon Jam, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, Seasoned Fries. As I mentioned, great location overlooking the dunes and ocean with bars inside as well as poolside, and the margaritas and fries were tasty but overall disappointing food. read more
