That is, of course, time that we'll never get back. The first two times, we got the same counter guy who seemed like he knew what he was doing... but didn't. I won't give this person's name out because I don't want him to lose his job. But if I ever go back and he comes up as my counter guy (assuming he's still there), nope, I'll pass and wait. This guy initally gave us a new router to install, but as soon as Jacob looked at it (two days later), he could see it was a lemon, which is why we couldn't get it to work. We then went back and got a new modem and a new router from the same guy. At this second visit, this guy did a few other things on his phone which he said he was doing especially for us, that he really shouldn't be doing it, but that whatever he was doing would supposedly connect us remotely. That didn't work, either. But we couldn't find that out until we went back home to check. The third time was the charm when we got a different counter guy, who gave us a $10 credit w/out asking (the first guy told us he wasn't allowed to do so, saying that store security would be compromised. Huh?) and seeing how upset we were, booked us Jacob. This was late Friday afternoon, and Jacob made it here on Sunday afternoon. So, we were unconnected for two days, which cut into my work and wasn't fun at all. Next time, we won't try to fix anything ourselves, despite being told how bing-bang-boom, easy-peasy it would be. We've now learned our lesson: if we ever have **any** sort of equipment issue again, we'll immediately make a service appointment. However, it seems to be company policy that the counter folks don't WANT you to make a service appointment unless you insist. So, fair warning: stand your ground and persist and insist on an appointment. If the equipment is faulty, there shouldn't be any charge for the service call. At least, Jacob didn't charge us. Thank you again, Jacob! :)

Overcharged right off the bat. But god forbid you have to close a card or idk, are working 7 days a week, 12 hours a day as a paramedic in a rural area that is very understaffed with medics and forgot to update, this is what you get harassed with and they turn off your internet very quickly. Their phone auto system will hang up on you, employees give attitude. TRASH.

I don't have an issue with taking on projects like this, but with everything else going on, I decided to look for someone to repair it for me. I didn't know that anyone actually repaired modern flat-screens, so I was pleasantly surprised to find Get The Picture. I made contact with Tony on a Wednesday, and set up an appointment for the following Saturday. Tony arrived promptly at the scheduled time. He was very knowledgeable and and friendly, and took time to explain the TV's technology to me. He was very careful and conscientious while disassembling the TV, and was methodical about troubleshooting the problem. He identified the malfunctioning part and said he would get price and availability the following Monday. On Tuesday he called with a price for the repair (which was very fair) and I approved the estimate. A week later, he contacted me to see if he could install the new part that afternoon. He arrived ahead of schedule, and within 20 minutes had the TV functioning like new. I'm very happy that the old Samsung is working again, thanks to Tony. Tony provides a service that is probably pretty hard to find in this area. Highly recommend.

He had to order the part and was out to replace the part in a week as estimated. It was a relief to have a knowledgeable, and professional person work on our 48" Samsung. I'd call him in again.

No trust. Stay away. Spectrum Mobile sent a representative…read moreinto my now deceased mother's home in Lincoln City, Oregon, to set up her cable service. The tech talked her into mobile service and sold her a smartphone and service plan--the phone was later shipped to her. My mother had dementia. She and her elderly friend were unable to set up the phone, and there is no local customer service office in that city. My mom had no car, had just moved there, and had no other local support. I spent over 30 hours on the phone and made two in-person visits to my local Spectrum store trying to get her money refunded. Then, just today, I found out they ripped me off, too! When I upgraded my own phone through Spectrum, the phone support agent made it sound like I was getting a huge trade-in deal on my 1-year-old phone and would pay only $157. In reality, the $157 was the trade-in value--and I owed $842 for the new phone. This was a long conversation with the tech, and I was overjoyed with my deal. There is no universe in which I would have knowingly agreed to upgrade my 1-year-old phone....why, except for the fake deal of the century, apparently. They blatantly lied and buried the truth in the contract fine print. This company preys on the elderly in their own homes. They will take advantage of you if you let them. This feels like slavery to the company store.

However if you want to reduce or cancel services a "in person" visit is necessary. Once at the retail outlet a sign in appointment is required. Staff seems completely unaware and not concerned how long the wait is and leave the service area for breaks and unexplained reasons for long periods of time. Currently on my fourth visit to return equipment after canceling a grossly over priced cable package.

I contacted charter and angrily expressed my issue with them. A supervisor came out to my house a day or so later telling me they have an easement and didn't need my permission. What do I want an apology? I told him to show me the easement- as I had already done my homework, contacting my title company. There was only 1 easement for pacific power! After 2 months of dealing with a regional manager, they finally agreed they had no easement and no right to bury the line on my property without my permission. I made them remove the line and negotiated a small cost to them to repair what they had done. However, due to their blatant disregard for personal property and lack of knowledge regarding their rights of easements I will never do business with them.
