I got this trip for my daughter and 11 of her friends for her 23rd birthday. Captain Steven was their guide and captain. Boat was very clean and large enough to accommodate all 12 of them (age ranging from 23 to 25). They brought their own food and drinks; had loud speakers on boat to connect their music to. So fun! We rented this boat for 3 hours to surprise my Dad for his 70th Birthday. And it was a hit! He loved it and so did we. The boat was beautiful and clean and charming, just as it looks in the pictures, but even bigger than I was expecting. And Captain Biz took excellent care of us! This was an extra special trip because we got married October 5th on the beach at Two Harbors. The trip was amazing, we had a nice sail over to the island, and he put us on the perfect mooring with a beautiful view. Right under the sailboat was a great dive spot. Captain Gustavo is a highly skilled boat captain and scuba diver. I felt safe on his boat, he made us laugh and he is an amazing cook. We sailed off the coast for 6 hours on a beautiful sunny day, sipping champagne, and swimming in the ocean. There was plenty of room up top and down below. I couldn't of asked for anything more. We wanted to charter a boat with my friends but we wanted to sail, not just a dinner cruise inside the harbor. It was 10 of us so we wanted to rent a big vessel. I checked different companies and charters2000 had what we wanted. Price was very affordable so I was hesitant at the beginning but the good reviews in yelp made me trust them. Thanks God I did! The yacht is huge, close to 60ft and we had different places to hang out. You can do the "Titanic" shot in the front, you can sit in the middle of the boat and there are many seats in the back and by the wheel. The inside is a surprise. You have a big living room, the kitchen and three rooms and three bathrooms. However, once you are sailing out of the Harbor, it is a good idea to stay outside. The Captain managed the boat on his own. I mean, the sails, the ropes, etc. It was impressive. Then we anchored and most of us dove in and we also used the kayaks and the boards. Yes, you don't have to pay for it! We stayed out for 5 hours. It was amazing. I was really tired but I couldn't ask for a better way to spend a fun day with friends. Highly recommended. read more

What a find! I was looking to charter an intimate day-long sailboat cruise for 8-12 people and MDR Charters and Adventures had it all! Thank you, Yelpers! Gustavo and Enzo made us feel right at home from the second we boarded the beautiful sailboat. My friends and I just kicked back and enjoyed the sights as we cruised along the coast. We even saw an incredible amount of sea life! It was the perfect way to celebrate my girlfriend's milestone birthday. Captain Skye got us sailing like I've never seen before. Everyone in our group was having a blast! We sailed to a small cove near Topanga Beach that was protected from the wind. It was perfect for swimming. Skye brought out the kayaks and stand up paddle boards and almost everyone got into the water. On the way back to the harbor we ate and watched the sun go down. I rented this yacht for my bachelorette party of 11 ladies. The booking process was very informal, mostly through text messages. The owner/driver of the yacht, Gustavo, seemed kind of rude at times, so I was very hesitant as to how the cruise was going to go. The yacht was a lot smaller than I expected. There was not enough seating for 2 ladies so they had to stand most of the time. The owner was nice and polite in person. The sunset cruise itself was beautiful. We had a great time. read more

We decided to do something different on the weekend and my friend proposed a boat adventure. We made a great choice. We sailed with no engine and the sensation was inspiring. Only the wind. We spend a couple of hours playing in the water and falling from the paddle boards and the kayaks. Everyone had a great time. I super recommend charters 2000. read more

This review is long overdue. I've been chartering Gustavo's "La Gitana" for the past couple of years so that says something. My last recent charter was on Memorial weekend to Two Harbors and it all worked out perfectly. Watching the sun sets and rises on board La Gitana is just amazing and to top it off we spotted some dolphins and whales during the trip. There is more than enough room on board for our group of 6 and Gustavo and his son Enzo went above and beyond to keep us entertained and comfortable. Gustavo is the best! He has a beautiful boat and our 3 day Catalina sailing trip was one of the best trips of my life. My friends and I had an amazing time and Gustavo was very accommodating. We saw dolphins, seals, sunfish and deer. We drank wine, make pancakes on the deck, jumped off the boat and enjoyed swimming in the ocean, sunbathed, enjoyed the wind in our hair and waves at our feet and of course had a blast exploring beautiful Catalina! The boat is quite large - 3 bathrooms and comfortably slept all 5 of us. Gustavo is a very skilled and fun captain. He does day trips and is also a master dive instructor. Gustavo was fantastic to work with for a team outing. We did a 2 hr evening sail. He was easy to email with to finalize the booking and payment. I had an outstanding experience with my family for my birthday. I also invited some friends. So much better than being in a restaurant. This is a whole adventure. Sailing, swimming and having a blast. The process was simple and easy. To reserve it I put a $250 deposit and we paid the balance once on the boat.
