Both cakes were beautifully presented, but the coconut cake was the standout. Everyone who saw it commented on how pretty it was. Both cakes were delicious and fresh! A family member commented on the fresh coconut used to make the coconut and pineapple cake. My family cut both cakes before I could take a picture. LOL. I will be a repeat customer. Hands down one of the best cakes I have ever had!!! We ordered a cake and cupcakes, the cupcakes were gone within 10 minutes of the party starting. The cleanest of ingredients with spectacular taste. I stopped buying desserts in restaurants because of the artificial taste and ridiculous weight gain. Charuby's cakes/cupcakes are my only go to because I know it has been made with "real" ingredients. My favorite is the Strawberry Short cake and I usually freeze a few slices to enjoy when I have a craving for dessert weeks later. When I picked up the cake, I was greeted with kindness and someone who treated me like a person and not just a customer. I took the cake home and there was a hand written card congratulating my wife and I that was so incredibly thoughtful, and honestly an art of customer service that seems to be lost in most businesses. We were looking for a local black-owned business to get a cake for Juneteenth and we came across Charuby's Cakes. The pictures looked delicious so we figured we'd give it a try. It was a smart decision!! When we picked up our cake we couldn't wait to try it so we dove into it in the car. The cake was AMAZING!! I wish we ordered 2 because the way my kiddies are circling they'll probably finish it off soon. LOL My husband likes icing but I don't and Ms. Peggy was gracious enough to icing only half of the cake for us so we could both be happy. We will definitely be ordering from here again.
