Lots of delicious options to choose from! The cupcakes were the star of the show for our food that we had. We had their carrot cake flavor, red velvet, black and white, and cookies and cream. Yum! The cupcakes were perfectly moist. The presentation was good. Some of the flavors were a little too sweet for me. What can I say about The Icing that hasn't been said? I have never been disappointed by them, from the time they were on Courthouse Rd. To their new location on Garrisionville Rd. They have never disappointed me. I have used them for cakes for co-workers birthdays to my families birthdays and them just stopping in and buying their cupcakes or Texas sized cupcakes has always been a wonderful experience. My most recent visit in this past week had me asked for a somewhat crazy design and request for a specialty cake. I needed a cake for my wife's birthday yesterday. I did what any sane person would do, I brought the design, pictures of what what I needed them to make it look like, asked for a slightly larger cake and gave them a week to plan and execute it. I paid in advance and left them with as much direction and design concerns. In the end they delivered well above my expectations! The cake looked great and my wife was so happy and pleased. This cake had to look like her cat "Boots" who is a Ragdoll cat and has many colors and markings for the bakery to consider, all in all I would absolutely recommend them for any project and if given time and ideas I believe they can do anything! If I could give the Icing Co a 3.5 out of 5 I would. I stopped in to try a few of their cupcakes. The flavors I tried were lemon with raspberry frosting, red velvet, and carrot cake. The price for each cupcake was $3 each or $17 for a half dozen (6) which I think is slightly high for the size of the cupcake. Most bakeries I have tried out are around the same price but the cupcakes are much larger. Let's start with the icing, the icing was pretty good but slightly greasy. I think there could have been a tad bit more icing on the cupcake as well but that is personal preference. As for cupcake flavors, red velvet was by far the best, very moist and flavorful. The carrot cake with cream cheese frosting was also pretty good, but tasted more closely to spice cake then carrot. Finally, I did not like the lemon raspberry, the lemon cake was delicious but the raspberry frosting tasted like artificial flavoring. I'm not sure I will go out of my way for this cupcake shop, overall their cupcakes were just okay and slightly high in price for the size. read more

I cannot speak for the taste considering I didn't get the cake. I ordered a cake for a Memorial Day/Birthday Party. On the Wednesday morning before the Party on Saturday I came down with Covid. I called from the doctors office to cancel the cake and was told it was too late. They said by policy they needed 10 days notice. I did not want to cancel my party I did not have a choice. Very disappointed in these cupcakes that are NOT worth the price! Unfortunately, I relied on the thumbs up from strangers and I forgot where I am living. The standards are obviously not high at all. They are small, overly iced with grainy buttercream. The carrot one says it had cream cheese, but I am guessing they add a very small amount of it because it just tasted like butter cream which was too sweet. I asked about the eclairs that are listed ON the menu, but you have to put the order 24hrs in advance, why is it on the menu then as if they have it available now?! The only things was the cake part of the cupcake was soft but that's it. If you're going to charge $3 for a cupcake please make it worth it! I'd pay more for a better quality cupcake. We have bought cakes from this business on multiple occasions and never had issues. My family member recommended that I reach out to them to get custom cookies made for an event. What a mess...I sent an email and it took a few days to get a response(no big deal). The response I received had questions that I already addressed in my first message. Again, I was patient and responded back. It took a few weeks to get a quote back. The quote I received was incredibly high priced for cookies. I decided to not move forward with my order. A week ago, someone reached out to me and told me that my quote along with a few others was too high an in accurate. She told me I would receive a new quote in just a few days. I waited, got no response. At the end of the week, I called and left my contact info. I was told the manager would call me within the hour. No response. A day later, I receive the same exact quote that I received before! I decided to no longer use this business for my cake or cookie orders and I let them know via email. The disorganization and lack of follow through is disappointing. Thankfully I didn't wait on their quotes and I decided to spend several hundred dollars getting a custom cake made elsewhere for our special occasion. If I can't trust a company to be transparent with pricing and to follow through on ordering, how can I trust that they will provide the desserts I paid for in a timely manner? Don't go to this "bakery" for anything, especially wedding cakes! We went to test the cake flavors/icing... the owner presented us with MUFFINS. She could have let us know that we'd be trying muffins instead of cake - but she didn't, because she wanted business $$. We ordered a multiple tier cake with edible crystals, neutral color florals, neutral everything, ombré effect pearls, etc. My cake did NOT have edible crystals. Had GOLD as a base and in the middle of the cake AND they added DARK GREEN flowers to my cake. The pearls were NOT in ombré effect. My contract stated ombré effect pearls, neutral florals, and edible crystals. Very unprofessional demeanor from the owner. Pretty disappointed since it's kind of like a mom & pop shop. My husband and I already have started the process for the next step since we felt like the owner didn't fully understand our frustration - she blamed the green florals on my florist when it was her employees who added them onto the cake. She said they used gold for a few parts because that's all they had in store at the time.
