This bank is a joke. They switched my paper billing for two credit cards and when I called to ask why they changed this without asking, they lied and said I changed it. Absolute nonsense. They said it would take about 3 months for the new setting to be applied! Then, a week later, I attempted to log on to pay bills. I was then informed that now I had to install a different operating system on my computer to access my account online. So now I'm locked out of my account unless I pay to have my computer updated! They also gave no notice that this would occur. There customer support also runs from average to horrible. If you can get someone that speaks good enough English to understand then its your lucky day. They are even low enough to ask personal questions when getting support that they can use to sell to marketing companies. Also, beware of their financial investment suggestions. read more

I would give this zero rating. They are liars and cheaters! Do not ever bank with Chase! The bank rep helped me open both a savings, checking and direct deposit to qualify for a $700 coupon over 90 days ago. I completed all requirements according to the coupon. I went directly into the bank to assure that I met and completed the requirements. After the 90 day qualification period I went in to complain and they told me the manager would call me. She didn't. I called the complaint/resolution number but again they said someone would call. They did and left a case number and ph contact. I've called multiple times and the number takes me to a dead end. I left messages and still no return calls. They want to be inaccessible. read more

When I went into the bank this morning, I was so very pleased to she the Branch Manager, Shelly Cook, in the branch! When I last spoke to her, she advised me she was transferring to another branch closer to home and her children. Her last day was supposed to be 8/9. So needless to say, I was ecstatic to she her in the branch! When I spoke to Shelly, she told me she changed her mind and wanted to stay in Agoura Hills. Definitely one of the better chase banks out there. There not as busy as other banks and the service is pretty darn quick. My wife and I have each had bank accounts at Chase Bank for over 20 years. Recently my wife tried to establish an investment account at a different institution, and that institution required her to get a Medallion signature guarantee in order to open the account. My wife went to Chase Bank to get the signature guarantee, and the bank employee told her that she had to show them a monthly statement from the other institution before they could give the signature guarantee. But she needs the signature guarantee before she can get a statement from them, so it was a catch-22 situation! I complained to the manager about it, but he was no help at all! Then I went to Bank of America and asked if they need to see a statement to give a signature guarantee, and they said no! So Chase Bank is being idiotic on this issue! read more

I'm not sure what's with the rudeness and blatant disrespect in CA. My fiancé visited this bank after work to pull money out of her account. She provided a Drivers License, her Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, and 1 other credit card. She provided her home address and last 4 digits of her social security #. They did not allow her to withdrawal her own money after providing and verifying all of her information, because she "didn't have her chase debit card" with her at the moment. They called over two managers, and asked her why her license was different than the home address. They then proceeded to ask her to verify the company on her direct deposit, which she works minutes away managing some properties. Number 1, that's none of your concerns or business. Number 2, if you'd like an answer, it's because she moved to CA from across the country! What does that matter? They never know who they're dealing with. Me being a Chase Private Client, A Sapphire Preferred and Reserve Card Holder, with multi business accounts in the multi millions - Im in the music entertainment industry with a multi million dollar company, an active Real Estate Investor, and do a lot of business with banks.... how dare you treat her that way. They're so patient and kind with me, no matter how much hair from animal rescue I bring in the branch! This Chase Bank on Kanan Road (Vons parking lot) has several friendly staff. There's a Personal Banker, Armo. Gives a warm greeting at the front reception area. Nice touch. Recently I discovered this Branch. The few times I've gone there I've been fortunate to have the same window teller. Lee. Very Friendly! Easy going, connected, engaged, has something interesting to say. He's a young guy, with an old-school, confident, laid back personality. He's normal. I offer this disclaimer - - - I am so very much *Not* a fan of banking institutions.... I go only when necessary, Mostly because I can't tolerate the personality of bank staff. They are usually fake/polite, and make very silly small talk conversation, almost as if following their training script - I Don't Like that behavior. It's feels disingenuous, and makes me want to get out of there Lickety-Split. This branch stood out immediately as wanting to deliver that extra 2-3 miles to have their customer feel comfortable. They've even sent me emails to follow-up on information promised. & They serve fresh coffee! It's also nice this bank is centrally located. Less than 1 mile off the 101 Freeway. I had a very bad home loan experience at this bank. I paid for an Appraisal of my house for a new mortgage. The appraiser stated that I needed to do a minor home repair, which was not clear on the appraisal report. The bank would not give me the phone number of the appraiser so I could figure out exactly what they wanted. They just told me to do a repair and hope it was right. So I paid $500 and was denied access to the appraiser. What a rip off. Needless to say I got my home loan from another institution. This branch does not know what they are doing. I closed my account and have been waiting 3 weeks for my check. I called Chase Customer Service and they told me the check was not issued and that I had to go back to the Agoura branch to show 2 forms of ID (again). A manager and two other staff helped me and still it was done done correctly. In addition to many other problems my account was hacked online and Customer Service was rude and could not tell me any details to my account activity. So I went to the Agoura branch and it took an hour for them to figure out what happened. Staff is poorly trained and do not know what they are doing. Don't trust them with your $$ read more

I went into the bank on saturday and was treated so rudely by Teresa that I thought I would go to the Westlake Village branch just to finish my business. We were late for an appointment with Sonja (wonderful to deal with, by the way) and not only was Teresa rude when I asked if there was anyone else who could help us (Teresa and 2 other people were standing around), but after she told me I would have to wait for Sonja, she actually challenged me when I said we had a hair appointment for my son. I'm not sure what part of inferring that I was lying about my sons appointment she considers good customer service, but if Yelp had less than one star for a rating, thats what she would be getting from me. Easy to see why reviews are often polar opposites. The people are great, but good luck getting through on the phone when an issue pops up. After the remodel and placement of the ATM's inside the bank the lines are so long to see a teller. The lack of tellers and long lines make for very unhappy customers. Every time I come in customers are complaining. The manager is aware of this and says she has passed it on to corporate but nothing has changed. I so hate coming to this bank. I don't personally bank here, I am doing a business deposit. I would have moved my account so long ago. read more

I made a payment to my mortgage on the last due date. I received a receipt of the transaction yet the morning the bank assesses me a late fee of $177.33. I called customer service central that verified I made the payment and stated it never should have happened if it was posted correctly by the teller. I spent 30 minutes on the phone and advised me that I should personally go into the bank. "As a courtesy they will take off the fee" this is not a courtesy it was an error in the teller's part that it was posted correctly.
