The website SUCKS and I'm unable to make payments as I want to. There's a limit on additional principal payments that IS NOT DISCLOSED anywhere on the website. Regardless, this branch, specifically, applied my payment incorrectly and REFUSED TO ISSUE A RECEIPT with my updated balance. They gave me a slip that says I gave a certain amount in CASH (not a check, not a debit card, but actual cash). Why can't you confirm my updated mortgage balance when you don't have to wait for a check to clear? The teller (LXSAUC1 is her ID number) confirmed to me verbally that my payment would be additional principal. Instead, she applied it as a prepayment of my next payment (how convenient that I pay them the FULL INTEREST AMOUNT A MONTH IN ADVANCE.) Stay away! They will do whatever they can to take your money and use it to THEIR BENEFIT.

My husband and I recently got married and we are trying to have one bank account, he really likes LCU so we compromised and decided to stay with them. Today, my husband tried adding me to his account so we both can manage our money, and guess what- the representative denied me. Why? Because she said I needed a piece of mail that matches my ID. I tried explaining that I don't receive mail I only get all my bills through online. Apparently that's not enough. I pulled up my utilities bill that had my full name AND address, I even went a step further and showed her my ID. She still said no. It's 2017, people rarely receive mail. LCU really needs to update their system and allow their customers to show online statements. They get our money but when you want to even touch your own money they make you jump through all these obstacles. Thanks LCU. Never recommending this credit union.
