The renewal is for 4/27/24 and I have been reaching out to cancel since March. He does not return calls is waiting for the renewal to go thru so he gets paid. Corporate said their hands are tied since he has to do the cancellation. I have Allstate for my Home and Auto but My agent is in Eugene because in the last 32 years I have owned my home, Grants Pass has not provided decent customer service so I had to switch to an office that actually works for their clients. As a Real Estate person, Part of my job is assisting my buyers to get home owner's insurance for their new home. I will be removing Ken from my preferred vendor email I send to all my potential buyer's. I don't want then to endure the treatment I have had to deal with. Our Travelers agent suggested we postpone the purchase! After looking for over a year and living in a fifth wheel trailer, there was absolutely no way! I put out some online feelers and got a call from Heather at State Farm. They not only insured us but did so at a rate significantly less than the competition, had they even been willing to insure us. I eventually migrated my cars and umbrella policy to this company, also. Fast forward to 2026 and someone maliciously broke the windshield in my exotic car while in the Costco parking lot. There were only two companies who were willing to take on the job and Safelite was so ridiculously low I knew they had no clue. I contacted Heather with a quote from Novus and she filed a claim on my behalf. Novus contacted me and let me know they were in negotiations with the insurance company. A week later I received a call from Novus that they were at an impasse over the targets to calibrate the windshield. I immediately emailed Heather and within 15 minutes I got a return email telling me it was approved! I called Novus and told them to check in a couple of hours to make sure they could see it. A few hours later I received a call from Novus telling me that they had received a call for State Farm and all was a go. Katie at Novus told me this "never" happens and was very appreciative of whatever I did, which was basically nothing! This agency has more than earned my business and I have referred friends and neighbors to them for fire insurance and they, too, have been very happy. Should you have insurance needs, give them a call!

I'm used to 5-6% increases and a friendly relationship with my agent. The friendliness is gone, and now it's just money, and no matter the amount, it is never enough. I forgot to include this. "Like a Good Neighbor", State Farm is where?? In my case Michigan, while I live in Ashland, Oregon. First home owners claim (2023) going back to 1990, many companies. I got zero help from anyone except the receptionist at Russ Wimmer's office. The adjustor in Michigan answered the phone sometimes, and sometimes even returned my calls. I was lost, lost and lost. I put my faith and trust in Joanna Rufo of Swept Away and wound up paying over $11,000.00 while my deductible was $5,450.00? Didn't get a penny back in small claims court and didn't get much of an explanation from Russ Wimmer. Why am I still with State Farm?
