Chase Wealth Management is so bad it under performed the S&P and significantly underperformed my own method in the first quarter. And they had the nerve to charge you for such poor performance. I got out after the 90-day trial. In addition, they lied to me and when I requested tape recording of our conversations, they refused to provide them. As a result I reported then to the SEC and other financial agencies. Avoid them unless you like losing money. read more

Worst customer service ever. Had to wait there for 20 minutes plus in order to wire the money while they had two bankers available . One of the teller tried to find someone to help me out, but one had to leave on personal matter! (Rania Younan) NMLS ID:795918 and the other guy (Michael Wakes) NMLS ID:1474146 was screaming at the teller that he is busy and he has other stuff to take care of first. 45 minutes in the branch and ended up with the same guy (Michael Wakes) and now he is trying to explain himself and waisted another 15 minutes of my time! I ended up just walking out without finalizing my wire. This is the worst branch I've ever been to. Rude and unprofessional please avoid going to this branch. Worst customer service I've ever experienced at a bank. I went in with my wife to open a joint account after receiving a promotional offer in the mail. No one seemed to want to help us after we announced our intention to the lone teller on duty. Finally someone reluctantly brought us over to a desk. She was quick to shoot down any compliance with the offer but we decided not to argue and to go ahead and open an account anyway. Although we've been married six years, my wife's Chase credit card is still under her maiden name while her drivers license shows her married name. Because of this she refused to open an account, asking us to bring in a certificate of marriage (really) to show the name change. We left and debated whether we should just go to another bank but ended up going home and finding the document. Returning about 20 minutes before closing, we walked through the door to eye rolling by everyone in the place. The same woman who spoke with us before sternly informed us that they'd be closing soon and it would take 40 minutes to set up an account. She reluctantly sat us down and we presented her with the certificate which at first she said was inadequate but changed her mind when we reminded her this is what she requested. But then she said since my wife's drivers license and credit card had different names we couldn't open an account. But we could come back another day with pay stubs and try again, she informed us in a condescending tone. No thank you. Why did she not tell us in the first place we couldn't open an account with my wife's identification and credit card? Why the random request for a marriage certificate only to completely waste our time? Either she wanted to go home on time or she was discriminating against us (this is a "private client" branch and my shorts and t-shirt probably didn't project the type of clientele they prefer...or maybe it was my wife's ethnicity?). A couple days later we went across the street to Union Bank and had no issues - only needed our drivers licenses - and were treated warmly and respectfully. Although I recognize that they were about to close as it was exactly 5 PM as I approached the door, the lady working inside ran to the door locked it right in front of me and shook her finger at me to let me know that she would not be assisting me, turned around and then walked away. I so love this bank. It's not too busy, in fact, whenever I come here, it's always dead, how'd you like that. I love it so much. Also, there's always someone there to help you, so, it's like going in and out. The people here are nice, they greet their customers, and they sometimes know how to smile. Please don't come to this branch. The branch manager (Rania Younan) isn't pleasant or helpful. I came in one day to cash my check as I always do on Payday (biweekly). I usually come in during my 1 hr lunch, mostly because of the location (near work and lots of choices for lunch options). As always after handing my identification cards to the teller she has to call a manager for an override due to large amount of check/ cash. This is normal, sometimes they call work to verify funds or employment which is fine, better safe than sorry. But this time it was different, from the moment manager approached teller. It was a Friday (Casual Friday as always) as I get payed on Fridays bi-weekly, no smile, no hi how are you or the usual thank you for waiting. Nothing. All I got was crickets, so I thought... hum maybe she's having a bad day. And she asked me do you work here as she looked at my check, I answered yes with a smile like Obviously! I offered to show her other paycheck stubs from previous months, I keep them in my work purse. I told her your more than welcomed to call my work to verify my employment. She said there's no need. I thought OK, cool I can finally get my lunch and go back to work. She handed me back my check and said we aren't going to cash this check for you and started to walk away. I said to her excuse me mam, why is that? She said I need to take it back to my issuer I said what's the problem with it, it's a payroll company check and they are issued by our CPA's office located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and mailed to our office. She said if you'd like to wait for me while I finish up with my client I will assist you. I said sure, is there a branch manager? She then said yes, me. I asked if I can have her card while I wait so that I can also call my office while I wait for her. I wanted to make sure that whatever the problem is my work could fix it before handing out the rest of our company checks. I waited almost an hour and she never came instead she came over and took another client that came in after me. When she was approaching us I thought she was coming to get me and she just turned to me and said I'll be right with you. I said OK, which at that point I called my office again and they tried calling the bank to see what the hold up was an she never answered their call. When she came back to get yet another client I then asked her if she can stamp the back of my check with the Cancelled stamp she said no and told all of the tellers not to stamp my check. By this time I'm upset and telling her that if I take this check somewhere else they will not cash it with their stamp. All she said was that's right! In the end I had no food because I ran out time and my company had to issue another check and I went to another branch and they were able to cash it with no problem just as always. I think she's either a racist (my grandfather is from Barcelona, Spain I was born and raised in Pasadena, CA) or judging me based on my casual attire. Not Cool, I'm not for judgmental people or racists! Bottom line not banking with Chase EVER and my company is also switching our business account as well. read more

I came in to open an account from the promo offer I saw and had a really good experience working with Shanna. She was so pleasant and personable to work with and was able to get me an even better promotion than the one I had inquired about originally. I really appreciated her kindness after my past experience with Chase so this will definitely be my go-to branch. My father past away and chase has funds. Went to bank to go through process to collect. Very pleasant process and was told should get mailed in about a week. After 30 days realized did not receive. Contacted bank on a friday was told that they did not know why it wasn't processed but no problem come in on Saturday and we are authorized to cut you check. Arrived on saturday everyone was pleasant and waited to be served. Aft a bit of a wait was told that there was another glitch and could not issue check. Was told i would be contacted on monday to resolve. I have a very busy schedule and realized today did not get a call as promised. Why should this be so difficult?? The interior is spartan and very open. There is no designated place for a line to form. You just stand anywhere and wait. Service is average to good, but for the most part tellers seem very bored. I basically only go in when I need some bills other than $20s. I had a home loan with them before. The loan officer was very helpful. I went through Costco the next time for a lower rate. My auto loan is with Chase. There is easy online access to all accounts. The Chase website is intuitive. Changed from 3 to 4 because service is consistently good and making deposits is very easy and convenient. read more

Rania is the worst customer service rep I've ever dealt with in any bank. Rather than try and figure out the solution to a customers problem she always say "no" it cannot be done. I call Chase Private Client services in front of her and the Chase Private Client service rep tells me yes it can be done. Then I ask if the service rep can explain it to her, and Rania refuses to talk to him on the phone and insists she call the back office herself. Okay, so then she calls and she's trying her best not to help us I can tell by the tone of her voice. Finally after realizing she is not looking out for the customers best interest, I decide to tell her don't worry about it I'll go to another bank. I went to another bank and got everything done in less than 15 minutes. Other bank reps, when I have questions on how to solve something they try to figure out solutions for the customer. Not say "no" for everything and not even try to figure out a solution like Rania did. I would give negative stars to this branch if I could. Worst Bank I've ever dealt with. Went in to cash a check from my employer, they told me since I was not a customer it was over the amount they could cash and refused to help me. I have never heard of such ridiculousness. It is a check written from their customer, from their bank, to an employee and they won't cash it!? I will never do business with Chase! Chase's processes are horrible. Their system assigned my SSN to my mom "in error".. We have been at the branch at least 5 times to fix this and they can not remove my SSN from her profile unless she is been deleted from her account... Really!!!???? they blame the system, but how they can not fix something that they did? I have proved and they have contacted the SSN office to prove that Im the owner of that SSN and stil can not fix it???? On top of this, the manager from this branch ended up telling me that if I wanted, I could close my account!!! read more

Very disappointed!!! I am recently unemployed and had a $50,000 401(k) rollover check in hand to put into an IRA. I wanted something with NO risk and FDIC insured until I get a new job and could afford to take some risk investing. After a 45 minute sales pitch on getting into the stock and bond market they let me walk out with my check and wouldn't help me. Chase will not allow you to keep your money safe (CD, money market, FDIC product) in a retirement account. They will only take your money if they can invest it and charge you 1.6% per year in an investment account. Don't be fooled by their strong armed "we know better than you" tactics of this investment bank. If you lose money in your account, they will say they explained the risks to you and you lost. The fund they were pushing on my had a 1 year track record---NO THANKS I will take my money somewhere else. read more
