Worst bank I've ever been to. I will be closing my account and pulling everything out. At every wells fargo I go to, there are managers and financial service representatives laughing and talking to each other while there is 12 people in line waiting for 45 minutes to an hour because only one teller is working and taking every type of issue. I lost my ID and wallet and they can't even help me with pulling 20 dollars out of my account. I have pictures of my ID and debit card, i gave them my social and my passport on file and they still were unable to let me do anything. I requested a debit card over 17 days ago and there still has not been any update or response from them. When I call in, all I get is "it says it was shipped" They are very careless when it comes to their customers. You're much better opening an account at a credit union!!! Worse than worst customer service. Especially by Management (Ben Siepak and Julie -she wouldnt give her last name). Found that my accounts were compromised and I needed help, they were too busy talking with one another to be bothered by a customer. Their solution, make an appointment for a week or two to address the fraud issue. When I said that was not acceptable, they tell me I am unreasonable and should bank somewhere else. In summary, if Wells Fargo has a security hack and your account is compromised, you need to wait 1 to 2 weeks. read more

10-1-2025 i deposited a check for 15,000 from schwab into wells fargo. they invoked section cc to hold the funds 10 days. schwab told me the funds were in the accounts of wells fargo 10-2-2025. i spoke with a wells fargo banker 10-6-2025 and she checked her computer and said the funds were not recieved. schwab said the funds were at wells fargo 10-2-2025. i called wells fargo after recieveing a letters saying the schwab check constituted "unususual activity" so they have the funds and are holding them 10 days, 7 business and 3 just because they can. if wells fargo did this to 1 million people and used their money for overnight interbank loans they would make millions. mmm i kinda think that is the scam this bank is doing. frankly, i am taking this up with khalil "kc" mohseni is commissioner of the california department of financial protection & innovation (dfpi), the state's financial regulator. the ccc provides when a bank places an extended hold based on unusual activity, it must follow specific procedures: provide a notice: the bank must give the customer a written notice (or electronic notice if the customer has agreed to it) explaining the reason for the hold. state availability: the notice must tell the customer when the funds will become available for withdrawal. maintain documentation: the bank must keep records of the facts that led to the determination that a check might be uncollectible. none this was provided until i recieved a letter after an in person inquiry 10-6-2025. ***** i intend to cancel my accounts and move to another bank ****** i consider this a scam to hold customers money so wells fargo to make high yield overnight interest on short loans. current overnight federal funds rate: as of september 18, 2025, the target range for the federal funds rate is 4.00% to 4.25%, according to the federal reserve board. the interest on reserve balances rate is 4.15%, notes the federal reserve board. read more

There's a reason why this branch has 1 star literally if I could I would give this place 0 stars. I ordered money back on 12/18 and was to be delivered on 12/20. I was leaving on a trip to 12/21 and was sure exchanging currency with MY BANK would be reliable. Jokes on me !!! it's now 1/2/2025 and have not received a call, email, or text to notify me that my foreign currency has even arrived or ready for pick up. I had my two small children with me, one of whom is autistic. They made me wait in line for a long time because they didn't have enough staff. The staff was very rude and gave me dirty looks because of my children. I explained my child's situation to everyone, but instead of easing my stress or answering my questions, the staff member argued with my children and told me to make my autistic child quiet. I had a really bad experience. When I asked for her name, she said I shouldn't have it and hid her name tag from me. read more

Despite all the scandals that have embroiled Wells Fargo, this is still one of my favorite branches to come to for my banking needs. Whether it's a simple withdrawal or deposit to more complex transactions like cashier's checks or foreign currency purchases, this branch can do it all. All the tellers I've interacted with are very friendly, helpful, polite, pleasant, and efficient. They're very genuine and are willing to go the extra mile for you. If their systems were faster, the tellers would be even better. Another great thing about this branch is the lack of foot traffic it receives. I think the minimal amount of people they get enables them to provide better customer service. I'm usually in and out within 10-15 minutes and everything I needed done is processed quickly and accurately. read more

Terrible customer service!! I was told over the phone (after misplacing my debit card they put a temp 3 day hold on my card) that I could bring my new marriage certificate in to change my name, but that I could still deposit checks into my account that had my maiden name on them. I get to this branch, give them my updated address and marriage certificate. They never once asked for ID. Came back the next day, and they refused to cash my state disability check. I was instructed to go to Walmart and pay $3 to cash my check then walk the cash in to deposit it into my account. I reluctantly went to Walmart, never having to have done something like this before and Walmart would not cash the check because it was too high of an amount! I can not believe Wells Fargo could do this to a long time customer. They gave me so much hell over this and stressed me out further aggravating my health condition. I went to another branch down the street, gave them my ID that matched my check, both maiden name and they were happy to help me. Simple as that. I will NEVER come back to this branch, nor speak with the customer service manager ever again. After my escrow goes through next month, I will no longer bank with Wells Fargo. Horrible customer service. I wish I got the lady's name who was rude and not helpful for no reason but she had glasses and just a mean look to her. Long story short WF is closing my accounts for a check my own mother wrote me, I switched banks, I wanted to withdrawal the remaining funds from my account to move to my new bank. I go in and she said "sorry I can't help you your account is blocked" I knew it sounded fishy so I left, called customer service and she reassured me she was unprofessional because she did not tell me the whole truth. There was a block on my credit card due to my account closing soon but NO blocks on withdraws or anything else. I believe she saw this on her end and she knew what she could do but she chose to make the situation worse and more inconvenient for me because I ended up going to a whole different branch and they were super helpful there. Horrible customer service. Trying to deposit a check of a large amount. Not even wanting cash out, my wife went to deposit the check and they want both of us there. They got their both signatures on the check and still wouldn't accept the check. They blamed my wife of forgery my signature when I actually did it it and had to go. But they wanted both physically at the branch. Ridiculous, not even trying to pull money out. We have several accounts, we have a business and did many transactions at this branch before even with the person to told my wife they wouldn't accept it and they acted like we were criminals and they had never seen us before. We are beyond upset at this whole situation and rest assured, we will never go back to that branch. I'll drive further if I have to. I could understand cashing a check of a large amount or depositing into an account not under your name but this was not the case. Bunch of BS just to do a simple transaction. read more

I had left WF a long time ago and came back as a business customer. All good but then the whole scandal happened and I weathered it because the local branch manager was consistently a good helpful employee who genuinely cared for the customers. I moved across the country and ended up next to this branch. Needless to say it has now reminded me why I left in the first place. The tellers were nice but the business reps were as slow as they could be and had no problem taking breaks when we (business account holders were in line). I sit here waiting and waiting - before I was going to provide them some updated info and deposit more $$ but now waiting to CLOSE my account. Today I went to get money out of a Wells Fargo ATM and they charged me an ATM Fee. It is my money and my bank, what the heck is going on. When did they start this? I have been a customer forever. The few times I've come in here, everyone is so nice. I actually look forward into going into the bank to exchange/deposit/cash money because the people who work here are friendly. Normally, going into any business establishment and having to converse with an employee to communicate what I need or want done gives me anxiety. But thankfully I don't have to worry about that at this bank. I can't believe I'm even reviewing a bank - but after my first couple of visits and leaving there not feeling rushed or haggled, I knew I had to write something praising this branch. I'm never nervous or rushed when coming in here and am so thankful for all the help and assistance I get here. Also, every time I've come in, the place isn't busy. I get customer service right away. I wish I had opened my cards through here since the office is always so calm. I've even sent my husband in here to cash a unique check we got (it didn't have any place on the back for a signature) and husband said they were quick to help him out, and that he was in and out in under 5 minutes. I've tried several other local banks and by far Wells Fargo Foothill exceeds my expectations of how a bank should operate. The moment you walk thru the door you get a nice greeting from the tellers. Generally there is no wait but even in high traffic times I've never waited more than a minute. The tellers are friendly, helpful and very efficient. Another plus is that their iphone app is awesome and makes it so easy to deposit checks via photo and make transfers! On the rare occasion I have to go in, their longer than average week day and Saturday hours are really helpful. read more

Our office is near this branch. Our firm represents many clients from all over the world, who frequently have their US Treasury refund checks mailed to our office, in order that we can deposit them. I tried to do this recently, and after waiting in line for a very long time (customers both in line, and those being helped by the tellers seemed extremely frustrated), the check I was attempting to deposit was refused (from the US Treasury!). The teller was curt, and sent me on my way. I waited until the next day, and drove to the branch off of El Toro, and it was deposited with no issues. Although it is much further away, I believe that I will have no problem in driving over to the other branch for any future transactions. read more

On April 11 2015 I had a horrible experience, the teller a thick Asian girl was so rude.I came in wanting just one temp check as I only needed one and not a sheet or booklet of them. She actually charged me $3.00 for one single check and I have been banking there for over 14 years. This teller mouthed off, breathed heavily and rolled her eyes at me continuously.
