This Chase bank is perishing soon. One day, our reviews will exist in the primordial aether of Yelp, only as signs of what was, kind of like the statue in Ozymandias except for local banking errands. Anyways, despite the fact that this place is imminently closing (I believe on February 12), everyone was very helpful, service was fast, there wasn't much of a line. I'm not really sure what else you're expecting from a relatively small branch - this probably isn't the place you'd go if you need to set up a mortgage or something. It's really somewhere you stop by because you need to deposit a check or something and you also have another errand to run in Pacific Commons. Hours are kind of bad though - closes super early on Saturday, which is presumably when most people are running errands at Pacific Commons. Realistically, you'd actually stop by here if you were stopping by Pacific Commons for a weekday lunch. I believe the nearest Chase will now be somewhere on Mission, so good luck during rush hour when everyone floods it and you're jammed up with cars trying to get between the 880 and 680! Man I cannot believe I cannot cash my check here!! I been with chase forever and they could not cash my check only deposit it. Like wth, I been banking here for my adult years and I'm 36. They literally could not make it happen and I had to leave debating if I should just bank somewhere else now. This branch doesn't deserve any rating! They have the worst customer service. To open the safe box u first have to stand in a long line. Then you have sit and it may take them up to an hour to even come get you to open your box. They are always understaff at the tellers and other staff just walks around in circles but doesn't help you. The system they have is so bad that even the staff looks lost with their own system. Unlike other Chase branches in the area, this location has really great service. They are always friendly and very helpful. Their ATM is inside and requires you to slide your card if you go during off hours. So when you need to pull out cash late at night you feel a sense of security. Because it's located in a plaza parking can sometimes be a pain. Every time I go, it's been a smooth, easy, and enjoyable experience. read more

Service: Excellent as employees are friendly and always eager to help. Someone always greets you as you enter. Parking: Not great. I came in to change my last name on my accounts and cards because I had gotten married and already went through all the channels to legally change my name with the SSO and the DMV. The first time I came in it was a Friday afternoon and there was a waiting list of about 5 people so I turned around and walked out. Today (Tuesday) around 1pm I walked in and there was no line and Duy was able to help me right away. While he was typing away on the computer he was able to hold an engaging conversation with me so I wasn't just sitting there staring around. That's great customer service if you ask me. I feel pretty secure depositing and withdrawing money from inside the window shielded lobby rather than outside like most bank ATMs are. The card swipe entry is definitely an added plus to my secured feeling. The only thing I can say bad about this place is that the parking is such a pain sometimes depending on what time of day I'm going to the bank. During lunch hour: forget about it. I absolutely DREAD going to this particular branch. Unfortunately, for work, I'm forced to go here. Every time there are multiple tellers standing around talking to each other, letting a line form & only having 1 teller helping customers, only taking breaks from their conversations to let the line know "we'll be right with you." Once I had to go there to make multiple deposits (probably about 6), the teller that was helping me seemed to not know what she was doing, so it took a very long time, which would've been forgivable, but another customer came in and they made him wait till my transaction was done, despite two other tellers standing in front of their stations doing nothing, then someone who acts like a manager comes up and lets me know typically they can only do about 3 separate deposits for 1 person because it holds up the line... Clearly blaming me for making that next customer wait! I've been there another occasion where once again where it was empty & there were as usual at least 2 tellers standing around, only one person being helped at the time (a business attempting to get change he had ordered the day before and was being hassled about). Myself & another business walked in and they made us all wait for the one teller who was already occupied because "she's helping the businesses." But one of the other tellers would help the random non business people that came in, yet I had to wait like 20 minutes to take care of my transaction. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Came inside the bank to withdraw cash, cash I couldn't get from the ATM. The teller helping me had the audacity to question me as to why I was doing it inside the bank instead of going to the ATM. I had to point out to her that a customer could not take out odd numbered cash such as $10s and $50s. She rolled her eyes and said "okay". How rude! She's literally sitting down doing nothing because everyone prefers the ATM. I would rather drive farther to a Chase that has great customer service. read more

Great service, practically no line. I wish the actual bank was open after 6 PM, but at least they have the ATM area for all your withdrawal/depositing needs. I've been here a couple times and even though it was different people helping me each time, the service has been accommodating, and they were patient with me throughout when I asked them questions. I opened my account for the first time with Chase with the help of Alan and Duy. Both were very friendly and helpful. I was in a huge rush to leave for a meeting but they were able to help me set up my account with in 20 minutes! There was a great deal also where chase gives you a free 150$ for setting up a direct deposit Account that I didn't even know about. I'm glad I picked this location! read more

I went to open an account and their standard paperwork requires agreeing that chase can do an unlimited number of credit reports on you. This is disturbing to me as I have excellent credit and checking credit can bring your score down. They said they would not check my credit but their paperwork says they can. Who am I going to believe, their legal department who wrote it or the $20/ hour guy behind the desk. I walked away and suggest you do too. If you value preserving your credit score, giving an institution free reign on checking it is a poor choice. read more

so they are still holding my check and today i got an email for insuffecent funds transfer, they just made that up out of thin air, um hello the saving account has been closed. how is that even possible. tomorrow i have to go down to the bank again to talk about this issue. i feel like calling 911, file a law suit, the check has been cleared buy fremont bank but chase wants my mother who wrote the check to come down to verify that it is cleared, they got many tricks to delay me untill they can think of another fee. read more

This is a copy of a letter I sent to their CEO. Mr. Jamie Dimon CEO JPMCHASE BANK, I just had a really bad experience at one of your bank agencies. Today March 31st at 12:30 PM I walked into the 43333 Christy St, Fremont CA 94538 and had a $100.00 bill that I needed change for. I made the 15 minute line and when I approached the cashier and stated that I needed to break the bill she said, sure, can I see your CHASE card or account number? to which I responded that I did not had a checking account with Chase but I had two Credit cards with Chase but I did not had them with me at the time. Her response was that she would not be able to help me and to my surprise, she handed back my bill. I just told her that it was not a check, it was legal tender US currency, and if she needed an ID I could give her that. Her response was that she was not stupid, that she could identify on her own that it was not a check and because I was not a Chase customer she was not going to help me and that I needed to leave. Then I proceeded to ask her for her business card, and she responded that she did not had one, so I asked her name, and she responded that she did not had to give her name and asked me again to leave the bank. I do not believe I asked for anything out of the ordinary, nobody looses anything, it is an even transaction, I do not understand why I was treated this way. That makes me think that maybe it was because of my accent? or my skin color? The possibility exists but I sure hope so it was not because of that. I know how much my company invests in acquiring new customers, it is very expensive and that is the reason to share my experience with you. I am not asking for anything, I am just letting you know that some of the frontline people in your branches are doing. And to find out if this is your Company policy to humiliate possible new customers. As a matter of fact because of the relationship I have with your Company thru the two Chase Credit Cards I own, I have been getting inundated with offers from the local CHASE branches around my house to open new checking accounts. Do you think that after an experience like this I will be willing to do business with you? Yeah, I think you know the answer to that. In my experience as a CRM I have found out that cases like this are not isolated and the chances of occurring again and again are really high until the problem is fixed. You probably (and probably neither of the people in the address bar) will never read this email, I just wanted to give you a heads up to what is happening in the "trenches" while you guys try to come up with the best strategy to carry the company, just to be destroyed by "friendly fire".
