Briefly opened a an account at patelco's Credit Union in Milpitas. All I want to do is activate my debit card someone told me to get on the app and it was easy to do to activate the card. But I was wrong it was not that easy to activate after time and time again I could not activate my card don't know why called customer service got to run around for a few days finally went into the credit union and they still couldn't help me activate the card told me I got to get on the app to do it after days of frustration I went into the credit union again and there was this lady named Jumese. She worked her magic and I was able and she activated my car just like that no hassle no fuss and she did it all with a smile. I strongly recommend her her customer services off the hook. You want to get things done see Jumese. And she's got a sense of humor which makes it even super. read more

I had the best experience at Patelco in Milpitas!!! I didn't even want to go but I'm so happy I did. Jamese was the best possible teller I could've gotten. She helped me create a new checking account and gave me all the options for which savings account would be best for me that I wouldn't have even considered otherwise. Jamese made banking so quick and easy and actually so much fun. I always use online banking but now with Patelco I'm coming back in person to see Jamese anytime I need anything. The staff at the Milpitas branch are friendly and personable. If a line forms, the branch manager or loan offer steps in to help members. We have taken advantage and used several services the credit union offers. Their Money Market savings account allows you to save at a higher rate than low to no interest checking accounts. read more

Hands down the best car loan experience! I am a first time new customer - had 3 days to find a bank that would be willing to beat the rate that carmax was offering me. I called Patelco on a early Monday Morning Alex Q. Helped me over the phone he was very patient (knowing I was in a hurry) & understanding with me that I was nervous doing this over the phone and via email. He walked me step by step explaining throughly in a way I could understand & he made me feel that I could trust him with very sensitive information. Less than an hour later I received an email from Patelco indicating wonderful news & was able to beat carmax loan rate!! Finished the car loan application with Bernard T. Who also walked me step by step over the phone with uploading all personal documents needed to finalize the process. After many emails back and forth- He too was also very professional & understanding and patient with me! By 3pm Bernard was able to generate/print a check at my nearest Patelco location and I was able to pick up the check, then drop off to carmax that same evening! Both Alex and Bernard went above and beyond to help me without having to step foot in their Milpitas branch. So grateful they took my call and appreciate their willingness and efforts to help me. overall happy that a Patelco was able to help me! Around 1400 today, we walked-in to this branch. Spoke with this bank teller named Sabrina, greeted us with a quick smile and thought she was friendly but I was wrong. She gives you this impression of not wanting to help anyone. She was giving you this mean look and the way she talks to you while explaining about my debit card was very intimidating. She is unprofessional and not very accommodating nor friendly. She needs to be trained with professionalism or maybe proper way of handling customer service. So this is how they conduct business to new clients. Came here twice within a span of 2 months. Both time, we had talked and discuss my plans I like to pursuit with this credit Union. They took my number down so they contact me later to make an appointment so we can further talk about which option was best for me. Both times, they never hit me back up. I was fortunate to have the first world problem of having a high-demand electric car company tell me, with extremely short notice, that the car I ordered in August was ready on 11/4, and if I don't make arrangements to take delivery, they'd pass it onto the next customer (car company gave me lots of mixed messages: told me April. Then October. Then December. Then ... pick it up now - 11/4, or else). So, I needed a loan, on a Friday, for delivery on Saturday/Sunday, and by the time I got my ducks in a row, it was close to close of business. Alex on the store end was unphased. He got all my paperwork processed, got a hold of all the loan folks to get the ball rolling, though he hit a technical snag that required follow-up the next day (my wife, who was out of town, needed to be on the loan since she was also going to be registered on the car). Greta took the ball over on the loan end, and called me, and my wife, kept in close contact, and got the wire confirmation to the car company. Alex and Greta did a lot to maneuver, and problem solve through the process and get the job done, and they made it feel seamless. Upon coming into the branch to check my account balance I was met with attitude from one of the tellers rather than a friendly answer to my inquiry. The bankers here are always friendly and have great customer service skills. I'm usually in and out of here within a decent amount of time, and even if there were a lot of people waiting, they offer refreshments such as coffee, candy, and sometimes cookies too! It's rare that I see refreshments at other banks (the most they have are some lollipops that seem like they've been sitting there for months), so it seems like Patelco actually cares about their customers. read more

We were sent to this branch to get our debit card because our home branch machine was not working and we needed a card. They said to rush over there and that they would give them a heads up to wait a little for us since we would be getting there close to 2pm. It is out of our way (20 min) but since we really needed a card we rushed. We get there at exactly 2pm and they were like we can't do anything. Other banks have a 5 minute grace period before and after. All they had to do was print two debit cards and they couldn't make an exception. This is my favorite branch, they are helpful and get things done. I am in the process of purchasing home and it's required several trips to Patelco. The process is already stressful and I visited 2 other Patelco locations, closer to me, but they were not as accommodating and reassuring as this branch. I ran into a situation yesterday where money needed to be wire transferred to complete the process. The lender required that the money be received by 9AM the next morning and I was told that wasn't possible. Given the urgency of the situation I went to the Calaveras location and they made it happen, which usually is impossible. By 7Am this morning the money was transferred and I am so relieved and appreciate what the staff was able to do for me. Today I am a new home owner and I am very grateful.
