Been a wells Fargo Customer for the past 18 years. I dont usually write reviews but this time I…read morecannot keep quiet. Branch Manager Micheal Velasquez has has to be one of he most unprofessional managers I have ever dealt with in my 18 years of being a Loyal customer to the institution. I tried to withdraw money from a loan ( granted by them) and instead of being treated like a customer, I was spoken to and treated like a criminal in regards to my personal information not lining up. The details are long and I understand and appreciate concern but I can tell you this is not how a professional handles the situation. Instead of being a professional and giving me options to resolve the discrepancies with my information to facilitate the release of the money Micheal had no problem loosing me as a customer when I said I would close all my accounts. I said this because I felt discriminated with the way I was being treated. He never presented options in a kind manner and if anything he raised his voice and spoke to in an elevated tone ( like he was my father or something ). After 18 years of business I will be looking to take my business somewhere else or at least take most of my business to a bank that actually appreciates their customers and doest make them feel like criminals. I did tell him that its people like him why banks will die and blockchain technology will take over. I have also filled a complaint with Corporate ( something I have maybe done one other time in my life against any employee from any business ever). Wells Fargo needs to train their managers how to handle these situations in a much much much more kind a professional manner. Update : 1/30/26 I called Wells Fargo ( customer service) . They said the validity of my Identity should have never been questioned after I provided proper documentation. I provided my driver license and Debit card information. Makes me question even more If I was being discriminated against . Update : 2/1/26 I have been reached out by the Wells Fargo team to get an understanding of the situation that occurred. I also went to another branch and the branch manager was very nice and understanding ( I should have gotten her name ) she works on upper state street . Her and Christopher Cooper were so nice and apologized for the situation that occurred at the other Wells Fargo bank . From my gathering and speaking to other ppl in the company, they can't understand why things went down the way they did . I do appreciate that people in the company have taken the time to reach and see what happened. Investigation is still ongoing. I will be reversing my one star review to a 3 star review. Tho I still think they need to train their management staff to handle things differently ( at the Montecito branch )

Closing my accounts!…read more Have been a customer of WellsFargo for over 12 years now and based on my interactions w/ management at this location - specifically a manager named Nick I'm done with them. I have 2 accounts + mortgages both personal and commercial with wells and I'm going to go through all the time consuming steps to sever ties with this institution on all lines of business. Ive additionally reached out to Alexi Rami who is the local group branch manager for Santa Barbara but he has also failed to even acknowledge calls and emails. Done with this bank - it obviously has zero respect for even long standing customers.
