Five stars for finding my lost necklace, dropped apparently outside the branch on a Friday. Thanks Stephanie for finding it. I was told she found it. One star because the following Monday, when I went to retrieve the necklace, it was missing and not in Lost and Found where it had been placed late Friday. Sometime between Friday and Monday, the necklace took a walk. Thank you Lucy for placing it in the Lost and Found and acknowledging me as the owner and telling me that the necklace had been found. They are to be commended. Brian Vien is the branch manager and offered to check security cameras, now three weeks later still waiting for a status report in writing and/or the return of the necklace. Alas. I usually love the prompt and friendly service at this very busy branch...I'm a longtime client more than 30 years. It's disappointing the security cameras could not help facilitate the return of my necklace. You would think the bank would like to investigate and know definitively what happened to a unique necklace that apparently grew legs. I had to escalate the matter to the regional bank manager, who was hard to find...it's not an easy matter to register a complaint or a compliment online... but being a former newspaper and TV news reporter helped. I hope the bank will take more proactive investigative steps to address a client's request and concerns. And perhaps setup a timeline protocol for the handling/returning of lost items. read more

No public restrooms. My hands always feel grimey after handling money at the atm. I walked in and asked if there was anywhere I could wash my hands, but they said they don't have public bathrooms! This is a pretty big chase to not have public restrooms. read more

I usually use the Chase Bank here or the other location at the Marketplace. This location has more services available since there are more employees that can help with opening accounts and services other than withdrawing or depositing at the ATM. read more

Applied for a new credit card with Karina in branch and enjoyed working with her. I came into Chase Bank on 6/1/2024 and was surprised by the long line upon opening at 9:00 AM. Karina informed me that the first week of the month is busy due to rent/mortgage payments and social security checks. Luckily for me, the credit card application line had no wait and Karina assisted me with applying for a new credit card. Karina is friendly, knowledgeable, and down to earth. She gave me a rundown of all of the benefits of the credit card I was applying for and I was approved within minutes. I asked if I could get my credit card sooner and she was able to expedite the card and waive the fees. By the time my credit card application process completed, around 9:30 AM, the cashier line mellowed out. I loved speaking with Karina and would recommend her if you're applying for a new credit card with Chase. read more

Customer service? How do you receive customer service when no one answers the phone at the MPK branch every time I call? The voice activated menu gives you the run around where there's no opportunity to speak to a live person. More empathy and professionalism the customer I went in the bank to do a wire transfer and waited for a banker who unfortunately some one of the customers had cut in front of me and the banker put him on the list. I mentioned to the banker, but the other customer was served before m. As I was waiting another customer walk in and got service before me. I was kinda bummed because they kept ignoring me. I started to walk around and a banker asked if he could help me. Which I was kinda glad I was finally able to get some help. I had asked for the branch manager Kevin Vien. To let him know my concerns. He was very defensive and said he looked at the log ins and said your where logged in. I tried to explain to him a customer jump in front of me and another was being served before me. As I tried to explain to him he kept interrupting me. Asking how long did you have to wait. I was at the Monterey Park Branch trying to get some bank issues resolved . I came across a banker Jamie Pang who wasted an hour of my time trying to verify my husband identity . Our California ID card have a hyphenated name . The bank record do not ... We provided 2 forms of identification including a chase Visa card issued in his name . If there is a bank error just correct it !! She looks totally confused of what she is doing . She makes me feel if she even knows what she is doing . I appreciate the bank taking extra security measures in identifying the customers . She is taking it to the extreme levels . She did not seem to care about clients time . Everything on the driver licenses matches the bank record . There is the date of birth , license number plus there is personal pin to verify identity . Michael was very accommodating and helpful and got me set up with an account and the app. He walked me through deposits via phone and was very service oriented. I visit this particular Chase branch not only as a client but also on behalf of my employer. In both instances I receive excellent service from the staff. I've been with Chase Bank since it was known as Washington Mutual in the early 2000's. That's a long time ago and the fact that I have not changed financial institutions says quite a bit about the service not only at this branch but at all the other Chase branches I've visited. I am always greeted when I arrive and the wait is usually minimal. I try to avoid going on the busiest days which are Fridays and Mondays. SAFETY TIP: This branch has a two level parking structure. PLEASE be aware of your surroundings when using the ATM's particularly at night. I recommend you don't park upstairs at night or use the stairwell since it is dark and isolated. My go to Chase. Staff has always been friendly and super courteous. Lines are long but they usually fly by unlike BofA. Parking lot is big so you will find a spot. Make sure you dont park in between cars though because the spaces are tiny. read more

This bank is not too far from my house so I come here to deposit checks and get cash from the ATM. If you know you're coming, you gotta plan ahead for getting into the parking lot. There is one off of Atlantic for a quick right (this is where the ATM's are), but if you're coming from any other direction, you gotta go up Harding and turn into the lot there. This is the location I visit the most often because it's near by and there are tons of parking. And what I like the most, it's not crowded like the one on Valley, Alhambra. Therefore, less waiting is just perfect for someone like me who doesn't have much patient. (But I don't think being impatient is a good thing :/) There are some Chase that has its ATM inside the branch, as you need to sweep your ATM card to get in. I opened an account and chose to receive the disclosure docs via email. The banker gladly said ok. Today I received an email from Chase saying "you need to sign in to our Chase Mobile® app to confirm that you want electronic copies of the disclosures we discussed when you opened your account. " I have no intention to install the Chase app. I don't want to be forced to install an app. It is absurd that Chase choose not to just email the docs but instead force me to install their app. read more

They never fail to point out the complimentary beverages and snacks, and they are always ready to help if there is anything I need. Having lived in Monterey Park for almost a year, I took this particular Chase Bank location for granted. Now that I live in the Long beach area, I wish I can have this bank back near my home. Employees here are extremely professional and provide great customer service. There is never a long line to see a teller because they always try to have three tellers up front. Employees here speak English, Spanish, Cantonese and Mandarin. Sometimes they have a refreshments stand (like water and coffee) for their patrons. My experience in Chase has been ok since I've had business/personal checking and savings for long time. It could've been a huge disappointment how a personal account staff handled the matter unprofessionally so caused me a "holy roll around" for 3 hours with nothing gets done! However there was a manager named Kevin V. SAVED my day and helped thoroughly in entire process with sincerity of service. We were so pissed off at his staff so asked for a manager and he listened to us and tried his best to satisfy our needs at best interest! I usually come here on my way to work. It's a convenient location only if you're driving south on Atlantic. Otherwise, it's difficult to get in and out if you're heading north. ATM 1. Three ATM's to use. For some reason, there is always one that is not working. Maybe it's just my luck or Murphy's Law of running late to work. 2. I wish the ATMs were a bit higher for me to access. I always feel like Chase is doing me dirty when I bend over to use the machine. BANK 1. NEVER, EVER let the bankers stop you on your way to the teller. This is a complete time suck. You think you're saving time by giving it to these reps. However, once you sit down in that chair, you're a goner. That's at least 15 minutes of your life down the drain. They will proceed to look at your accounts and cross-sell you on things. 2. Tellers are usually nice and friendly. I like to go at 9am to get them while they are fresh and not angry like at the end of the day. I only go in to withdraw Benjis because carrying all those 20s is a hassle. PARKING 1. Is a nightmare. Though this bank looks relatively old, the bank tellers here are quite friendly and often seem to want to strike up a conversation with you. This never seems to happen at the other branch I use (Irvine). This place also has plenty of parking, but when the bank is about to close, just expect there to be a mad rush (we Asians run on Asian time, ya know?!) The parking spots can be so narrow too and the parking lot is oddly shaped; it's good that there's a security guard watching in the parking lot and he points if there are any available parking spots at the top of the garage! hahah. read more
