Gotta say... I see why they only have 3 stars. Came here to get some change for a company I work for. It's only a couple hundreds. I've done this plenty of times here for the same reason. I let the teller know what I was here for and lets me know that I need my ID and an account # for the business.... I just need change and i've been here plenty of times to do this without those needed... Let's me know he can do only $100 but then i'll need to go over to his coworkers for the others because that's all they can do without the business account # I go over to the teller next to him and once again asks me for the info. And then the two tellers start gossiping and talking and in Chinese then start to chuckle a little bit. Very unprofessional and it doesn't help all their tellers are literally all college kids. They treated me as if I wasn't a customer because I didn't have the business account #. But they didn't know that i've been personally banking with Chase for over 5 years and having an excellent relationship with them. Terrible. read more

My experience with the Tellers at this location has always been good but customer service for other matters has gone down quite a bit. The lack of welcome and even attitude. I observed a front person treated a Non-English speaker quite rude. He spoke to her without even looking at her! Yikes. Don't under estimate the impression you give to customers and potential customers at the front desk. It was worse than BOA years ago that led me to switch to Chase. I went to the ATM and withdrew a few hundred dollars and I had selected $20 bills. The machine did not dispense out the correct amount and got jammed. The ATM ended up owing me $100. I hurried and went into the bank where it wasn't busy at all. I was looking for someone to assist me and I saw 2 employees chit chatting among themselves. I waited and still nothing, eventually I asked if they worked here. They looked at each other and then said yes. I told them what had happened at the ATM and they didn't take care of it right away. She asked for my name and signed me in on the waiting list for customer service. This was their mistake and there was no apology or explanation at all. These people are not helpful nor are they able to resolve my issue. A rep ended up calling my name but it wasn't my last name. Why bother getting my name if they weren't going to get it down correctly. I finally spoke to a representative and explained to him what happened. He was not much help. He asked me "so the ATM didn't give you EXTRA bills right". Why would I be in the branch talking to anyone if the ATM gave me extra bills? Has anyone come into a Chase branch if the ATM gave extra bills? SERIOUSLY!!! What kind of question was that? He ended up calling the claims department and told me I wasn't able to access my funds until 24 hours. He did NOT resolve the problem, I never got my $100 back. This is a great Chase Bank location. I stopped by here to get a cashier check to pay for my wedding and the process was so easy. Finding parking was easy and when I walked into the bank, I was helped right away. They have extra security when you do a cashier check but that's necessary because of fraud and such. The employee working the window was very nice and helpful during the process because it was my first time doing the cashier check. read more

I went in to open a business bank account and apply for the business ink unlimited card. It was an absolute breeze and the staff were extremely welcoming! Faye helped me out and went above and beyond her duties and treated my small business account as if I were Warren Buffet! She patiently walked me through and explained the entire business credit card application process and benefits of the business account! I would highly recommend asking for Faye to help you! Bonus: They also accept pre-counted, unrolled quarters/coins at the location! The reason I say this, is because we were taking some elderly friends there to open up a safety deposit box, so there was some waiting involved. And then that lady tried to make up some weird story to her insurance company. But anyway, there's always a line inside as well, but the quick transaction line is nice. This Chase is probably one of the most busy banks in Alhambra! The parking here is really bad. Some of the spaces are compact while most of the time when you enter this parking lot... it's enter at your own risk. Oh my goodness... I must have seen it three times when the customers here back into each other and they further clog up the parking without having to move their cars. They also scream at each other blaming it's the other person's fault. Yes, they are Asians!! darn... The parking attendant or security guard is useless. She only sits outside staring at the cars, but never conducts or helps anybody. I kind of find that hard to believe. I just can't imagine what that person would do when the bank gets robbed! The inside of the bank, you will encounter further turmoil. The patrons there will take their time at the teller windows. You will see them counting their dollars over and over again making sure it's the correct amount and it's not fake. Oh my goodness again!! Sometimes you will here them arguing with the teller about something not being right. Oh well... My experience with a teller once before was... I thought he was a bit rude! I had a blank check to cash because I wanted to make sure the funds in that person's account was sufficient. The teller would not let me put my name on the blank check in front of him. His said something about the security camera taping. I didn't really understand what he was saying since he wasn't too clear in his explanation. Anyhow, he checked a couple of my IDs a few times to make sure I was legit. Oh well it's his job to do so. But for some reason, he might have triggered an alarm to notify the chief teller about me. On my way out, some guy walked in front of me just to acknowledge me as I left. Maybe he was checking up on me, or wanted to further retain me to make sure I was legit. I found that a bit awkward. It kind of made me feel like a criminal. Anyhow, this bank is really nice inside. But it's a bit too hectic for me to go for my banking needs. I don't want to encounter screaming people, nor do I want somebody to back into me in the lot. So I rather go to another Chase. And if you are in a hurry... don't go there! read more

I don't know why everyone else is giving this chase such a bad review. I mean these people obviously haven't went to Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and all of the other banks. Because I got to say this chase especially is the best chase/bank I have ever been to. Not just because they're big new and clean, but also because they have great customers service. I mean when you are in line waiting for a banker to call you for your transaction, the manager of the bank would actually come up to you and talk to everyone who's waiting and greet them, and tell them sorry for the wait. I mean god damn, that's some service that even tips may not get you. And I been to literally all the banks in the SGV and I got to say this is the best bank service there is, and please keep it up! This is the reason why I stayed with chase so long, all because of this bank. Not to mention, the parking is amazing, there always parking, and the security guard is super nice too. He will open to door for you at times and help you back out of the lot of you need him to help you. And most of all, always carry a smile! God if this was a restaurant I would've tipped him a bunch! Well I have been waiting for that box for 2 years now. They put me on a waiting list and now they said they dont have the list and they want to add me to the another list. This is just ridiculous. They want me to drive 40 minutes to get a free safety deposit box. That's just crazy. Dont get the expensive checking they do that to get you to pay more and you still won't get the box. Went to the bank few days ago and noticed ATM outside touch screens was very dirty. Would be safer for those ATM and inside sanitize daily to prevent germs especially Covid19. I saw most gas station do clean their gas pump and touch screen. This used to be Home Savings until Chase took over the entire collection. Convenient location and really popular. Depending on the evening you come to use the ATM, I have seen on the screens that this particular ATM is not dispensing cash because it is out. There is always cars in the parking lot, no matter the time. This branch is always packed. ALWAYS! I think many of the local businesses in the area bank here. It's difficult getting a parking space, you have a better chance of getting your car hit, side swiped or scratch because many of the people do not pay attention plus it's off a major busy street. But, you can and will find a park. They have a single transaction line, for your quickies, but if you need a little more time to do your duty get in the multi-transaction line. It goes by really quick. If going inside in not your thing hit of the one of three ATM outside. Quick note: many people don't go to the ATM that has the Asian foreign language on it but it does come up in English when you put your card in so use that one when the line gets long and people are staring as if they can't change the language. They have superb customer service: Once on a Friday, I deposited my check in the ATM and my check was not going to be available until Tuesday. Friendly and helpful staff! Came in to exchange a couple of hundreds to 5's, quarters, and nickels. The girl that helped me (sad I didn't get her name) was so accommodating and sweet even when I asked to get more change after the first transaction. Another time I came in, I needed to pull out over 500$ so I stood in line to pull out money. The manager came up to me and told me that the machines inside allow you to take out more than 500$! Parking CAN be a hassle, yes...especially during rush hour with crazy impatient drivers, but overall I've never been frustrated or annoyed with this branch. They replaced a whole row of tellers with four giant ATM machines. I am one of those people who like to deposit money with an actual teller. I enjoy it because 1) I like to make sure my accounts are in order, 2) I am able to check everything I need to at once without trying to get an ATM screen to sense my fingers, and 3) I like interacting with a teller--it's more personal. I could understand erecting these huge machines in the middle of the floor if there were lines outside for ATMs, but there aren't. They also make the cubicle area look more cramped and uninviting. Whenever I come in now, the lines for the tellers are very long and there are only 2-3 people behind the counter; whereas there are no lines for the giant ATMs. Also, there are only two islands, one small station before the teller line with only one pen; and one stationed at the other end of the floor, opposite to where the line starts. Chase, did you hire a new interior designer? I think it's time you asked for a refund. read more

Having to give out red envelopes this year for Chinese New Years (uh, the perks of being married = giving $$ away, ole?!?!?!), I was in the neighborhood after visiting my pops and was running errands in the area and wanted to grab cash. Goodness... the parking here is insane! It's not even just in the parking lot where it's a battlefield, but finding parking on the streets are just as crazy! Thank goodness I can parallel park (yes, there are Asians that do so w/o tapping on car bumpers while doing so) and walked to the bank. I feel sorry for people who live around this bank because the street parking outside your home is probably taken by someone going to the bank! I took a glance in, it was sheer chaos, so I'll hold off grabbing money to stuff those little red envelopes at another time, grabbed my $40 quick cash from one of the ATMs and booked it outta there. If there was an option to give ZERO stars of customer service I would. Depositing and withdrawing money is easy no complaints there. But If you want information regarding about the services they provide: loans, credit cards, and etc then go to another Chase to get the information. Their customer service employees need to retake a seminar on how to treat customers. I went in to ask about loans but the lady who spoke cantonese said straight away that the person in charge of loans do not work on the weekends rudely. Then before I can respond to that she asked: "do you speak english?" "do you work?" "do you have a husband?" and "does your husband work?" She asked these questions rapidly after I finished pronouncing the end of "yes." Lastly, she said to give her my number for the loan person to call me. If she knew anything about customer service and business then she should give the customer the number of the loan person. It should be on my time not their time. There are unsafe long lines to park in the parking lot. ..I had to park across the street, and when I got into the bank, there was at least 20 people waiting in line to see a'Real' Teller!!!! There are only three live teller windows to serve the customers now. ... There use to be at least 12 to 15 teller windows before! Love this Chase location, Been coming her for over 10 years even before when this was WaMu. It is conveniently located on the corner of Valley Blvd and Almansor street. They have about 4 atm machines outfront for easy access to quick withdrawals or deposits. They also offer quick and friendly services inside the bank. The only con that I can think of is their very small parking spots that are super compact There's always people coming in and out the spaces that and you'll always have to yield to other drivers and pedestrian walking out of the banks. I came today 6/4/2013 and it looked like they were remodeling the outside of this place, but nevertheless, they are still open and running under construction. read more

This review is for this particular branch of Chase and NOT Chase bank as a whole. THE GOOD: Nothing is good here, nothing at all!!! Especially when you are in a hurry...don't do it!!!! THE BAD: Employees: I wonder if it's branch policy (I have not encountered this at any other branch) or if all their tellers have OCD but they spend f-o-r-e-v-e-r turning and facing the money all the same way and same side. After doing so they count all the money that you deposit or withdraw at least twice!! Also, the one time I've had to talk to customer service here, the lady (who could hardly speak English) did not help me with my problem at all. I don't even think she understood what I was saying because her response was just head-nod after head-nod then "uh huh..I see". Even when I asked her a question and needed an answer from her, she gave me the same...a couple of head-nods and then "uh huh...I see". It was so weird I started looking around for a hidden camera thinking I was being punk'd or something haha. The Wait: Lines are CRAZZZZZYYYY long here and there are almost always not enough tellers working to get the lines moving. And even when there are more than a couple tellers, they all do that weird money flipping and slowly recounting thing so they take forever to finish up with each customer. Admittedly some tellers did this faster than others but still. I used to go there for our business banking so I would have a couple thousand dollars coming or going at any given time and that slow ocd thing was KILLING me!! THE UGLY: The Parking: If you are looking for a couple dings and scratches just about every time you visit this branch, then you have found the right place by parking here. No matter how much defensive driving you do in this parking lot from hell, the minute you step away from your vehicle, somebody will definitely get in or out of the car they parked next to you and start slamming their car door on yours. I often would have to park on the street waaaay down the street and even then getting out of that general area is horrible. Even though this branch is the closest one to our business, I do my banking at other branches now just to avoid the chaos here. It would be wonderful if they had a drive thru ATM, but I don't see many of those in LA. In Sacramento, my Chase never had a wait or any cars in the lot. The parking lot here is ridiculously cramped, albeit with a decent amount of spaces. There's always two cars leaving, and three cars pulling in the lot.
