They messed up my International Wire Transfer. The recipient received the money less ~$450. Beware of this branch and of Chase Bank in general. They then terminated the banker who executed the transaction cause of a transaction error from their end. I am fighting with them regarding this issue and escalated the issue to the CFPB and other entities. Please Please Please beware of their scam tactics. read more

This location has awesome customer service. They are always cheerful and welcome you with a smile. They're able to answer any questions that I asked. It's not as crowded so you're able to avoided the long lines. The financial banker really helped me on guiding my financial needs and ways on saving on retirement. read more

I came in on a Friday morning at 11:00 am. I was promptly greeted by a lady that was in the lobby and was offered coffee, water, and cookies. I politely decline. The employee complimented me on my skirt and shoes, asked what I was doing for the weekend, and seemed super genuine. Once I was at the counter (I think I waited in line for 3 minutes max) the teller quickly helped me and I was out the door with my cashier's check in 5 minutes. Thanks, CHASE! read more

Wow, just received some amazing service so I have to write a review. I needed to get a direct deposit slip on a work day because I didn't have any checks. I gave this branch a call to see if I could set up an appointment to speed things up. Eddy was the person who picked up to help me. He took down my info and told me that he could have the slip ready for me to pick up as soon as I arrived, which was great! As soon as I arrived, I was greeted immediately and Eddy handed me the deposit slip I needed. Even better, he gave me three free print out checks to use just in case. I was in and out within 5 minutes! Definitely hands down the best banking experience that I have ever had so far. read more

I'd say I was ignored by all employees when I walked in but I know they were watching me as if there's anything here I'd even want to take... barring all the money, of course. I was dressed a little like the ui-bomber but this is Silicon Valley, man. So is everybody else. Hoodies are practically uniform. I could be a secret eccentric billionaire coming to cash $13 worth of personal checks for all they know. Where's my customer service? I filled out my deposit slip and stood in line for not very long before I just felt super uncomfortable and anti-bank and left... and walked directly outside to the right of the front entrance to the tucked in ATM where I could process my measly checks in peace and free from the judgements of a Palo Alto banking staff. read more

I wish I could give this business zero stars. Long story short I got divorced while living in Hawaii and there are no chase banks on island, the divorce went through in April and since then I've been trying to change my legal name back but have been told every time I contact this customer service that I can only do that in person. I've been saving up money since April until last week to fly off the island and take 4 days off work just so I can walk into a branch show them my documents and have my name changed. I thought everything was great and the woman I worked with in the office told me the name change had gone through and she had ordered me new debit /credit cards and checks. All of the new credit cards and checks that I ordered have now gotten back to my home in Hawaii and have my original married name, not the name that I flew off of the island to change it to.... This entire trip cost me over $1200 missing a week of work and leaving my animals for someone to care for. To put it into perspective it would be like someone living in California flying to New York to fill out one bank deposit slip and then having to fly back all for that five minute transaction. This is absolutely ridiculous and the level of incompetence is extremely frustrating. read more

I generally don't like to write scathing reviews, but here goes. After visiting THREE local Chase branches during my lunch hour, I finally arrived at this branch, the only one nearby with a notary. Parking is difficult, and it is located right in the middle of Palo Alto. The teller was extremely nitpicky about me wanting to have an authentication to release school records notarized. She said that Chase puts limitations on the type of documents that could be notarized. From the beginning I got the feeling that she wasn't going to help me. She came back and said this is the type of document Chase won't notarize for its account holders. I doubt that, because it wasn't anything special. (Probably the only thing they will notarize is a sky high mortgage for local homes.) I wasn't shown a list of documents Chase does allow to be notarized, and I believe it is left up to what the individual bankers feel like doing. I don't know if customer service has died over the past years, but my document won't be going out today, because of all the runaround, which may delay my move. CSAA does notarize for its members, albeit at a small fee. In the meantime, I will look for a bank that does provide some services for its members besides just offering to invest their money or trying to sell them mortgages. read more

It may sound silly, but I love coming to this bank out of all the Chase locations I have been to in the bay area. There is one lady that usually helps my husband and I (I'll have to catch her name next time) that always seems genuinely happy to see us. I like her. I kind of want to give her a hug. She looks like she would enjoy a hug. Also, Chase's fraud protection is great. While on a trip to Missouri someone had jacked our card number (we think at a seedy Hayward gas station before we left) and Chase contacted us before the 2nd purchase was authorized, refunded us the 1st almost immediately, and blocked all further purchases. Our account would have been emptied by the end of the day if it weren't for them. Thanks Chase! read more

This branch is great. I visit this location pretty frequently (maybe 1-2 times a month), and the staff is always prompt and courteous. Whenever I need to visit my safety deposit box, someone is available to help me get in and out quickly, and financial transactions have always gone smoothly. It's also nice that they have a dedicated parking lot, though the weird parking attendant guy who sits in a run-down shack with a typewriter is an odd sight. read more

I can't think of one positive thing to say about their mortgage department. As to their banking fees...outrageous fees, but typical of the big banks. The reason for the one star: can't get customer solution assistance. Whenever I have a problem with my mortgage and I have exhausted my cell minutes talking to their mortgage department, I go to the bank to get customer assistance. The bank mortgage representative are worse than the call center in mortgage knowledge and can only offer profuse apologies for their inadequacies. Over a decade of mortgage ownership with Chase and Wellsfargo simultaneously, I have sworn over my dead body would I never get a loan with Chase, even if they had the most competitive lower rate. (Typing that statement nearly killed me because it is so against my deal seeking core values -lol).The frustration I have experienced trying to resolve insurance payment, getting escrow differences recalculation, approval of insurances, etc.. has left a bitter taste in my mouth. The difference between Chase and Wellsfargo mortgage service is night and day. When I have lapse in insurance coverage with Chase, I have to make multiple calls, rehashing yesterday's discussion, same ones the past six months before my mortgage statement is corrected. This problem took over six months of haggling to get it corrected because they do weird impounding and adjusting of existing principal payments to pay for Chase imposed insurance. Wellsfargo, same problem, resolved in two phone calls. Wellsfargo"s mortgage statement is cleaner and simpler when they ask for mortgage imposed insurance. Chase financial structure is so segregated, their employees usually sound clueless and lack real ability to help correct problems. As a result of their business segregation, the customer service have a tendency to transfer me back and forth between their departments. When I do get answers, it is bits and pieces and if I persist calling several different times, I eventually get the complete picture of what it is I need to do or get my request fulfilled. Chase Mortgage acts like it is completely different company from Chase bank. The time which I have asked Chase bank customer service to call the mortgage company, after dialing the number, Chase bank rep hands me the phone to talk to the Chase mortgage. Do you think I am physically at the bank to use their phone to talk to my mortgage?!!!! Am I too incapable to doing this at home by myself?! Chase banks need to stop having loan officers sitting inside banks. It is really a false promise of credibility and connection between the two department. Chase bank can not help anyone with their mortgage problems anymore than it can help me with my Wellsfargo bank problems. I am told recently that Chase Mortgage is realizing people expect and want mortgage service at their local bank branches and are taking steps to allow more access by their bank representative.
