Chase Bank is the absolute worst bank. Not necessarily this branch but customer service over the phone is awful and they do not understand customer service at all. My mobile check deposit was made and then my check was stolen and cashed at another bank. When inquiring why funds were reversed from my deposit, Chase treated me as though it was my fault that the check was falsely cashed, even insinuating that I cashed the stolen check twice. When asked to speak with a supervisor they told me there was nothing else they could do..., I have been with Chase for over 40yrs and to be treated like I would do something so fraudulent and stupid is beyond acceptable. After an accident In 2019 that put me in a coma for thirty five days, I underwent conservertership due to my inability to make my own decisions, due to coma and medical outcomes. Long story short, conserverter approached the bank attempting to access funds, was denied even with my own personal identification and conserverter identity and paperwork, and when I finally was cleared to withdrawal my funds, the funds were short and couple grand. Scam of a bank. Terrible terrible. No good bank. Do not trust at all or open an account. I will say my conserverter was my own mother. Thank you, Chase Bank in Rocklin for having Chinese New Year red envelopes! And they're the long kinds where you don't have to fold the bills! I didn't think many banks in Rocklin would have red envelopes due to lower Asian populations but this one did! I called and a nice employee named Andrew was able to set some aside for me to pick up later that afternoon. When we got to the Chase, we were helped by two other great employees at the counter--one who got us the envelopes from the back and another who helped us exchange our bills for nice crisp new bills. We had a great experience visiting this bank. Heads up that the parking lot has gotten a lot more crowded due to new businesses moving in recently (Jimboy's, a sandwich place and soon a Hawaiian BBQ spot). We almost witnessed a car nail another as he swung a turn in the parking lot. So drive cautiously when you're in this Chase parking lot because it does get a bit crowded at times and the parking lot is a bit narrow at some points. read more

Only reason why I rated two stars is because the girl at the front was extremely sweet and helpful. The bad rating is due to the manager who was working at 1pm on a Tuesday. He was completely rude and unhelpful. I went in to ask for proof of a closed account, he said call the 800 number (which I did the previous week and didn't receive what was requested which is why I went into the branch in the first place). Literally didn't try to help, offer help, or even care to help. Just told me there wasn't anything he could do. I do not remember his name, unfortunately. I came to chase to send a fax to claims department, due to the ban flagging a purchase I made online to book a flight. Upon my return, I planned to send the fax expeditiously. So, I organized what I needed to have for the banker before I arrived. I was helped by sanjeet after waiting 40 minutes. I presented the information and a simple instruction which he didn't listen to. After a third attempt to fax, Sanjeet finally gave me confirmation. This fax took A.M. got to complete. Golden 1 fronts state employees their paychecks. They've been doing it for at least 2 decades. Every state employee wakes up to their paycheck being in their account ON payday. NOT CHASE. This bank DOES NOT do that. Consequently, I don't get paid on payday. They deposit it to my account anywhere from 1-3 days AFTER the state pays its employees. Frustrating, but I guess that's what you get when you go with a bank that can't afford to offer that perk to its members. read more

In the end Chase acknowledged WE the consumer are unvalued, disposable, and powerless. I spoke with countless supervisors who "escalated" it from one department to another. Both in person and over the phone. Chase Banking and Credit Card services have my vote for the least attractive company to engage in financial partnership with. My wife and I applied for individual credit card's based on a promotional offer by Chase for Southwest Airlines. the offer included a companion pass and 30,000 miles on the condition each card had $4,000 or greater in purchases within 3 months of being approved. Both my wife and I have credit scores above 780 and were approved upon submitting our applications. Within the 3 month timeframe we had met the $4000 minimum purchase for each card (before 2 months passed). Ultimately neither myself or my wife were granted the promotion. Reasonable thought would say it's safe to assume the promotion would not be awarded to a card holder until the conditions of the promotion were met, or the entire 3 months had lapsed. At least that's what my wife and I had assumed. After not receiving any information on how to utilize the companion pass, my wife reached out and was told she would receive a letter in the mail. The letter she received stated she was denied. I then inquired for myself at the local branch. The branch manager assisted me and elevated the concern. Each step of the way I was given a new excuse or reasoning for the denial. First I was told I didn't sign up for the right promotion. Second I was told that specific promotion wasn't being offered at that time. Thirds I was told I only had 60 days from the date of my application to raise a complaint. Finally I was told I only had until the end of the promotional offer (13 days after signing up for the card) to raise the complaint. First I provided them with a screen shot of the promotion I had taken when signing up. Second I provided public information being a cnbc article from online validating the promotion. Third, why or how could I raise a concern about not being granted the promotion before meeting the condition of spending $4000 or until the month timeframe passed. I filled out a paper form in bank for a SAVINGS withdrawal, employee David took the money from my CHECKING and bounced my account resulting in multiple overdraft fees. Now their employees Sophie and Lorraine will not talk to me at all at the bank because they "can't look up my account without my ID" even though every other transaction has been completed with only a debit card. I am also not trying to withdraw anything or access secure information in any way, I am only notifying them of their error so they can fix it. Now that they messed up my account they suddenly can't help me and of course "there is no manager" present to speak to. His name is supposedly Lawrence but he's not here. I asked Sophie for the name of the person who processed the withdrawal from the wrong account and Lorraine replied - from a different station while in the middle of a transaction with a different customer - "oh no, we aren't going to do that." She retorted multiple times that she refused to give me the name and would "submit a complaint on my behalf." I repeated that I am allowed to know his name and she eventually gave it to me. Keep in mind she was arguing with me from a different desk while in the middle of a transaction with another man who was of course listening to the whole thing. Came here today and I haven't had a bank account in a few years and I had went to Bank of America first and they said I needed to make an appointment first so I headed over to Chase and a worker here set me up with Art and he helped out!! I'm a college athlete so it was super informative!! He showed me how to access my credit, make deposits, and use the mobile app!! I am beyond satisfied and impressed with his service and the overall service at this location. I have banked with Chase for several years now and I love this bank! During a difficult economic time my business was invited to leave Bank of America, and I didn't know if I would find another bank open to our needs. Chase welcomed me, my business and my personal accounts, and has given us the best and most personal service all the way. Christopher Hanson has taken care of me personally, any time I walk into the bank or call. If Christopher is not in, someone else talks to me within a few minutes. The tellers are wonderful, they say 'hi' before I am even halfway in the door. I've never had a problem. I think this is just the way this bank operates. I'm no one special... they just expect to smile at and greet their clients each and every time. I was with WAMU about 5 years ago. It was a great banking institution. When I got maried, I followed my husband to another bank. I kept telling him how much I preffered WAMU over where we were. Well, finally, January of this year, we decided to move all of our accounts (7 accounts including personal and business) to Wamu. We met some wonderful people at this branch, but if you didn't get those specific people, the customer service was out the door! Now that those individuals are no longer at the bank, there is no understanding of customer service present in this branch anymore, and to call up for any assistance from the telephone banker is a joke. No one can tell you when the cutoff is for when you may have to transfer funds to cover anything you did that day - first they tell you 5 pm, then it is 6 pm, then it is 7 pm. Then it is whenever they run the batch - which is what time? no answer. Bottom line, I feel silly telling my husband how great they were before and it is a completely different bank - and I have never been so unhappy with any bank before. We are out looking for new banks now to move all of our accounts to. read more

I love Chase, hate Rocklin's Customer Service. As others have stated they are not busy, which was the case today. I got there and within 15 seconds was helped. I needed to get money from rent and I am waiting on my debit card so had to go in. Well ANGELICA the bank teller from hell was so lazy that she said "Next time have the slip filled out" at which point I was confused because no one has told me that. I would understand if they were busy but by the time I took out my phone, logged into the chase app, looked up a statement to get my account number, then I would have had Angelica waiting on me. So really, what was the point when really it's her job and it is easier for her to look it up. I just replied " I had just walked in." To which she said "well, I am just letting you know." I can only assume that if Angelica continues to work there with her attitude that this branch would only become emptier. read more

I just recently switched over from Golden 1 and have had great service with everyone I've met here at this Chase location. My husband is in the military and they have special services for the military which we are so happy about! I met with the manager today, (I think his name is Lawrence) to tell him how happy I was and he was so friendly! I was with Golden 1 for about 7 years and never had an experience or great customer service like I've had at Chase. Do not do business with Chase in Rocklin, Ca. They give you counterfiet $100 bills and then refuse to make good on them. I'm on a fixed income. I live on $200 a month after all my bills are paid. I received a fake $100 bill from Chase and they refused to re-imburse me for it. I am still paying back the friends I had to borrow from, to make up for the banks mistake. That $100 really hurt me and they refuse to help. They don't care about their customers at all. Very disappointed in them. read more

We came into bank to open a checking account for my son. We were told to wait in the lobby so that banker will be available in 15 to 20 minutes. As we were waiting another old couple came in asking for walk-in appointment like us. And as we are waiting the freed up banker directly comes and asks the old couple that are you the next people and takes them to chamber. Me and my son got surprised looking at that went and asked the another lady in the counter that why the banker picked the couple instead of us. We were waiting and he didn't even had courtesy to ask if we came first or not. Then the drama starts... that lady says they might had an appointment. When we said insisting that they didn't have appointment then she asks the main manager and that guys also just feeling like closing the bank for the day says today it may not be possible why don't you get appointment for next available day. Then I said why did you guys told us to come in if you are so busy and my son has called before coming over. Then they understood we were upset and found another banker to help us. Wamu, Wamu, where hath thou gone, Wamu? After almost 12 years of being with Wamu, I held on as long as I could through the unfortunate switch to Chase. Their customer service is lackluster at best, and their phone customer service... even worse. Oh, and don't even get me started on Chase's credit card customer service, they will run you around in circles and do everything they can to not give you a straight answer or anything that you asked for, for that matter. Outsourcing may be pretty common, but at least educate your customer service call centers, please? Anyway - I had decided to switch our funds over to Safe CU, a local credit union (that doesn't outsource!!!). The journey to close out our savings accounts first has been realllllllly "fun". I could only do so much over the phone with "Adam" (I use that name extremely loosely, by the way). He told me for a majority of the closings I had to go into the branch. So my husband and I go, we meet with one of their customer service advisors who ask me why I'm switching. I tell her why. Her response to my complaints about the outsourced and terrible customer service was, and I quote: "Oh, they are like that wherever you go." So that makes it okay then? Pah!!! We closed our savings accounts in prep for the move to Safe. I go on my account today only to find an automatic transfer from my checking to my husband's personal savings account (which was one of the ones we closed). I call up their lovely customer service and talk to a " Julia" (again, yeah right.) who tells me I can't be given any information about this account since I'm not a join signer on it - even though this account was supposed to be closed. So now, yet again, we get to go down to our branch and ask why weren't the accounts closed that we wasted our time closing a few days before. Chase is great, right? read more

I have to admit that i wasn't a fan of big banks....had bad experiences with wells fargo and and bank of america. My experience with chase has been amazing especially with the rocklin branch. Alesa (i think is her name) after being misinformed by another teller went out of her way to look up my account and called me to inform me of the error and i came back and it was corrected. This was well beyond her responsibility to correct this issue.....total rock star customer service. I also have an amazing time when i come in and see sarah....shes just a delightful teller with a fun personality. Anytime i have had banking challenges this branch has stepped up and found the answer. I dont typically review any business because any onetime experience can be misleading but this branch has rocked for several years now and deserves some accolades. read more

I switched from Wells Fargo a year ago after being pressured to take out a loan and repeated mistakes by the bank on my account and have been delighted with Chase's banking services. There are always at least two tellers and Andrew is a delight to work with. He goes above and beyond to accommodate special requests and is more than professional, competent and amiable.
