Unlike, other branches the energy here is very kind, non rushed, and all the associates were in good spirits and smiling. Horrible experience. I walked in and there was a super long line. There were three tellers originally but as I got to the front of the line a "new teller", Alex, came from the back which was really unsettling. I believe I was targeted because I am black. When he came from the back i was the only customer he serviced. As he was cashing my check, he deliberately slowed down the transaction, dropped my check several times, and even purposely dropped coins as he was giving me the money for the check. It seemed he may have been afraid of fraud but I do believe the bank has their own way of making sure that doesn't happen. I MEAN THERE ARE TONS OF CAMERAS! He took about 30 minutes in total to complete the transaction and made me late to work. I am thinking of suing for discrimination. I do believe he was delaying the transaction on purpose and may have been a separate security because he didn't even know what he was doing for the most part. read more

I had an unexpected charge. Chase charged an overdraft fee of $34 9 times in just over a day--$ 306. In the hospital, my ATM card was used without my permission for over 3K. Because "I knew the person," they refunded $0. Most theft is done by someone you know. BAD Review for Spozhmi Zarifi, Relationship Banker: Unsatisfactory experience with Spozhmi Zarifi. Unfriendly and unhelpful. Showed no effort in assisting with a simple request to print bank statements. Insisted on needing an appointment for such a basic service, contrary to information from another branch. Despite having an appointment with a client, no alternative solutions were offered, like waiting or coming back later. Furthermore, inappropriate questioning about the purpose of the bank statements. Poor customer service overall. Though an appointment was made for a week later, it was unnecessary, as another branch clarified that a walk-in is sufficient for such requests. The inconsistency and lack of flexibility in service were disappointing. I want to express my gratitude to CHASE in Century City for their assistance with a small request. They were helpful without being rude, didn't question the purpose of my statements, and informed me that I don't need an appointment to print a statement. They explained that I can simply go to the bank and wait for a banker to be available. Avoid this branch, specially an employee called Spozhmi Zarifi, Relationship Banker, she does not enjoy her job and will definitely not help you. The tellers are great. But the bankers are on personal calls, ignoring customers and not service oriented.

It seems to be time to leave Chase. They have closed multiple branches in the area in the last year which leaves us with this branch. They can sort of resolve some issues but sometimes dont have quarters. Apparently the 2 spaces in front are reserved for the manager even though there is no signage and they are closest to the bank; the security guard might power trip on you if you dare to park there. Its time to move elsewhere. read more

I love their 3 smart ATM machines outside. Touch screen. No writing or evelopes needed when making a deposit. The machine scans cash and checks deposits. If you want to be treated with dignity and respect - DON'T come here. If you are a POC AND want to be treated rudely and dismissed like a 2nd class citizen - then this is the place for you!! It's so hard to get an appt with a banker these days - and we waited over a week for this appt. As a thoughtful customer, I arrived to my Appt 15 mins before my scheduled time. Our banker waltz's in 5 mins after our scheduled time holding a latte telling me that she didn't have time to complete our 45 min appt and that I needed to reschedule. Totally Non-apologetic and With absolutely NO regard nor value for my time spent there - as a potential customer. There was not even an attempt for service recovery! She then continues to belittle me in the middle of the lobby - telling me that there are fees associated with these accounts. Yes - miss what ever your name is - I've opened many accounts before. Really? You're going to school me about the $12 monthly fee - like it's going to scare me away? Don't talk to me like I'm rookie at all this - MARY has no class, no tact, and should not be working customer service roles! She is condescending and talks down to people. Yes - I heard the way you talk to your POC co worker. She was so RUDE to her as if she was gods greatest gift on earth! The co-worker on the other hand - such a pleasure to deal with - Had I been able to schedule an appt with her over Mary - Chase would have had our business right now. Hah, Yelp keeps prompting me to write a review of this Chase, so... here we go... The Parking Lot: easy to get in and out of The SPOTS in the Parking Lot: NOT SO EASY to get in and out of - super narrow, and that middle lane doesn't allow a lot of room to swing out in order to get the right angle. Thankfully this lot isn't usually packed full so it's not a total pain. ATMs outside, no card access door. Never had any reason to go inside, so I can't comment on the situation there. the parking lot is ONE WAY, people, so you enter from the street and exit into the alleyway between blocks to the east. Be sure you're careful to slow down coming out onto the street from the alleyway, tho, because it's a blind alley and you cant see pedestrians coming. read more

I have been a chase customer for 6 years now and they just pulled some shady stuff on me. Out of nowhere they froze my account because they needed to "update the information" on my account. That information included my home address (already on file), job information, etc.. They neglected to tell me about this account freeze until I noticed that my paycheck wasn't being posted. I had to call and go through a 20 minute questionnaire process to get the account unfrozen and was told that the paycheck would be posted back to the account 2-3 business days. Turns out that they instead returned the payment back to the issuer and I still have not received my paycheck. I now have to go through my payroll system to re-request this money. I don't recommend banking with Chase for this specific reason. There is a huge lack of communication when it comes to specific account details and they will freeze your account without telling you. I would rarely find the urge to review a bank chain but I had such a pleasant, efficient experience that I felt the need given the chaos that seemed to be going on around us. I arrived around 4pm on a Friday to talk with a bank member about opening up a new credit card. I arrived, put my name on the list (only 1 person ahead of me), sat down and awaiting my turn. I waited for about 5 minutes at which time I was promptly called and greeted amiably by Stephanie. We began and concluded the business at her desk where I had her undivided attention even though the bank teller section was obviously busy and understaffed. Stephanie was incredibly helpful and transparent with her recommendations and advice and overall was genuinely enjoyable to talk with. Small and friendly. I use this location to deposit checks for my boss. They are open until around 6, 6:15, which is great since I get off around that time. Also, I come here so often that the employees know me. The only downside to this location is that the ATM area can get pretty crowded at times (especially with the moms and their strollers or people with their dogs) and the teller lines can be a bit slow. They should have more tellers at this location. 2 sometimes is not enough, especially early in the mornings. read more

My nanny went into this location to cash her check. She has received multiple checks from us and we have been banking with chase for a long time. The teller would not cash the check for her, refused to call the number on file, they said she could wait to talk to the manager but it could be an hour. They said my signature did not look like the signature on file. They refused to help her and were laughing in her face. I believe this was a display of racism and completely inappropriate. My nanny asked for their names and they refused to provide her with their names, because they knew they were in the wrong. My nanny was completely embarrassed and they made her feel totally uncomfortable. I called the branch and asked who was the manager on duty and the woman mumbled the name Spozhmi, I asked her if she could spell it and she hung up on me. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. She drove to a different branch and had no issue. I saw on this page there is an employee named Spozhmi zarifi. You should not treat customers this way and you should make sure your staff is not treating customers in this manner. You should never make someone feel this way. I will never visit your branch and this makes me question if I even want to bank with chase going forward. read more

Aside from being THE most unethical and predatory mortgage lenders, their personal banking sector is just as shady! I had a cashiers check drawn from a corporate chase account, the teller even verified the funds were available! However the branch manager FORCED me to open an account with them and said it was the ONLY way to cash the check. and so I unwilling did so. After spending even more time at this branch to open an account... they then told me they wouldn't cash the check and placed a hold on the funds literally holding my funds hostage!! The branch manager(not even sure that's really her title, no badge) Shanda Borrow is a liar. She is very unprofessional, seemed extremely uneducated and incompetent. Offering me only the most unclear explanation of why I had to go through all of this to cash a simple check. She kept tripping on her own words, rather than getting a supervisor to clarify the situation she kept telling me "I'm da boss" it was truly an unreal trip to the bank. Almost a scene from the movie idiocracy. THANKFULLY when I decided I could no longer deal with her they introduced me to Justin Green. And finally I was speaking with a professional human who posed common sense and simple problem solving skills. Aside from the time they took out of my day that they can never give back to me (3hrs) Justin handled the problem got the checked cashed and was very thorough and professional and expedited the matter. I understand it was a large amount, but it is also MINE. So essentially Shanda was withholding my funds and still would have if I didn't speak to Justin. Wish I would of spoke to him right from the begging and saved my time. Speaking to shanda was like speaking to a wall. Chase should really reassess her ability to act in a Managers capacity. read more

After coming here for years a new teller tells me he can not change my dollars into coins. Apparently it's a business Exchange so I need a business account. Mind me it was less than $200. First time I have had this problem. The other employees have always been very helpful and never gave me an excuse or denied to change my money. Also, I have an account with Chase. All I ever had to do was run my debit card and the exchange would be done. Never again will I go to this bank. You are better off going to Wells Fargo down the street. read more

this bank cannot be trusted. deposited money into the atm, with no warning that the atm was malfunctioning. atm then said malfunction and didn't print a receipt. the bank has done nothing to assist me and keeps delaying the process. Not much money $470usd, but this money was given to me for my baby by my friends and family at my baby shower. In fact when I called to make a claim, the manager said, we didn't put a gun to your head and make you deposit into this atm. your money is not safe here!!!! read more

They never answer phones when you call. There is poor customer service. There is a lady sitting outside monitoring the parking who yells at you, yes yells at you if she does not think you are using parking to go to Chase... I stopped in this location to cash a check drawn on a Chase account, I do not have an account there. Everyone was extremely friendly and the teller was very helpful. The only problem I had was that as soon as they realized I did not have an account, the teller called her manager over to me so I would open up an account right then and there. I was low on money, and that was the only reason I cashed the check instead of going to my own bank, and it was extremely frustrating because they really pushed me. I didn't open an account, but I did receive a call a week later from one of the managers trying to convince me to come back in and open an account. If I ever decide to go with Chase, I will go to this branch, but I think they need to calm down a little bit with the sales pitch! read more

Came here to deposit money and also stop payment on a check that has gotten lost in the mail. The teller was great and friendly, but the banker that I had to speak with was rude, condescending, and unhelpful. After seeing the teller, I had to wait about 20 minutes to see a banker - which would be fine, if after 5 minutes of waiting, 10 of them emerge from a meeting and start casually chatting about heading to lunch and then start grouping to head out or continuing their conversations in the office. No one even glances at the sign-in sheet to see a teller and none look at the waiting area to see if there is anyone needing help. Then, 10 minutes later, one guy finally looks at the sign in sheet and five minutes later I am helped by the RUDEST banker ever. She first of all does not even say "Hi, how are you?" or have any friendly interaction. Instead for the first two minutes she is criticizing the fact that I would mail a check through the mail (yes, I know there is Chase Quickpay/PayPal/VenMo, but QuickPay doesnt work in Canada, and I am not going to force a friend to d/l an app so I can pay her). Also, no, I do not write down the exact amount on my check because I just converted the amount I owed from US to CAD so I don't remember the exact dollar amount that it turned out to be since exchange rates fluctuate. Also - I know that banks are usually pretty good about waiving fees for things like stopped checks, especially if this isn't a regular occurrence (this was my first time ever) so you are just lying when you say I should just go through the website since the fee is $5 less and that there is nothing you can do. The teller had even told me that you would likely waive the fee, but apparently you would just like to deliver really poor, rude customer service. read more
