Have been doing business at this branch for close to 15 years, its always been pretty inconsistent experience. The staff here do not know how to service customer needs, let alone problem solving. I usually avoid the in-person if I can do the transaction at the ATM outside or online and only go inside after postponing the visit a few times I think they staff bottom of the barrel associates or new recruits here. - If your tax return check is made to you and your spouse: Some years they accept it, and some years the clerk's eyes start spinning and you can see them twisting into a pretzel, gasping for air before saying its not possible unless both individuals are present and offer two forms of Ids or have a joint account. All this moronic drill for a deposit. not withdrawal! I've found a way around this whole stupidity. Use the front ATM for depositing the joint refund check and not suffer the idiots inside! - I was there today for a 5 mins job of servicing my son's UTMA account as he just turned 18. The staff were uncooperative and sighted they have appointments and come back later. And spent time arguing for over 10 mins and could have helped me during that time. Their staff at the counters are strictly for performing the tasks that an ATM does + issuing cashier check. Nothing else. I turns out they can do one more thing: closing the account (another 5 mins job!), which I was able to do and deposited the proceeds to my son's other account. Recently opened an account at this branch and have to say from the customer service member when I walked in , to the rep who helped me to the teller a few days later on my second trip in , EXCELLENT. Everyone greeted with a smile and hello and seemed happy to have me as a customer. In times of online banking and limited interaction , this was refreshing. Knowledgeable staff that answered my questions in full. What I can say is have not seen this type of service especially in financial in a looong time So thank you to all the great members here and highly recommend this branch with my famous and rarely given 5+ rating ! read more

I was a customer at First Republic Bank with multiple accounts, and when they got bought out by Chase, the transition was a mess. I had many questions. Tellers didn't know anything. I'd be handed business cards to reach out to bankers and they also took down my info for a supervisor that would call be back within a day or two. No call backs. I call the business cards and leave messages with no call backs either. I walked in several times with the same responses. At one point I'm recognized from walking in every week by one of the tellers and was told the supervisor left me multiple messages. What a bunch of bull. I showed my call log and voicemailbox with nothing but calls from my family. At this point it's 2 months after the transition and no answers to any of my questions still after leaving multiple messages to a few bankers and walking in 5 different times. This branch is awful. I have been a loyal customer for years but it's better to stay with the Palo Alto Branch they are Mich more friendlier and at least they know how to do customer service the right way. the tellers here at this location are the worst I have ever encountered minus two people Arlene is nice and the other guy with curly hair who vacates the second window now is phu Brenda is the by far the worst chase teller in the world I have been to many chase branches. However Brenda's attitude is the worst I have seen at this bank. honestly I recommend that new customers take their business somewhere else because the atm machines are horrible here at this location. read more

The worker Lex and Brinda are extremely disrespectful they both discriminate against me and refuse to cash my check??? They say there unable to cash the check and they give me no reason why ??? I think this is one of the best, if not THEE best branch in the area. The foot traffic in there is a little slower which is GREAT!! I get helped right away!! And not only do I get helped quickly but the employees that do help are nothing short of stellar! Matt and Casey REALLY know their stuff!! Very friendly, quick and very knowledgeable. Which hits exactly what I want in a bank. There are a ton of Chase banks in the area but this is the one that I would go out of my way for. This review is about the online services I received today when inquiring about increasing our card limit. My husband and I have had Marriott Bonvoy Chase card for more than 20 years. We pay it off every month no matter what. 3 weeks ago we spoke with the company and answered their questions. Waited 1 week with no response. When we went to the our account, we saw that it was denied due to Equifax account was locked. We unlocked it and again 2 weeks later, still no contact. Today after being transferred to 6, yes 6, different people and 45 minutes on the phone, I was disconnected. No return call as of yet. Why when a husband and wife have a joint account, will companies not speak with the little wife unless the big husband gives them permission? Shame on companies that do this kind of treatment. Why wouldn't you want to take the extra 30 minutes to start taking direct deposits from my salary twice a month?! I was going to open a savings account and see what other products you offer. Typical CHASE Bank, this one is located in a pretty dead old shopping center. The place next door is unoccupied currently, but it is soon to be occupied by Spirit Halloween Store for the upcoming few months for Halloween. Just stopped on by to use the CHASE ATM Machines because we needed to deposit some checks and get some cash as well. Didn't interact with anyone because it was after hours when the bank was closed. Just went in to use the ATM and left. Parking is fine, plenty of parking because it's in a dead shopping center. Maybe with Spirit Halloween opening up soon, it'll get more busier. read more

Best Chase I`ve ever been to and I`m not just saying that because it`s the closest, haha. Everyone there is super nice and amazingly helpful. Despite that the ATMs are inside, you can still access it after hours by swiping yourself through the doors with your debit card. One of the most helpful bankers I`ve ever had works here. It's a Chase within the Safeway center. It's your standard bank I suppose, on the smaller side for a Chase branch. One thing that's good about it is the ATMs are indoors, which you can access after hours with your ATM card. That means you're not outside in the dark or in the rain when getting cash out of the ATM. read more

I have been one of the Top listing agents in Silicon Valley for over 20 + years and have done hundreds of transactions with all types of financial institutions. I recently accepted a offer from a agent whose clients were using Vivian Nguyen at Chase in Sunnyvale. The experience my clients, (sellers) and the poor buyers experience throughout this transaction due to Chase was beyond poor. WORST transaction in 20 years. We were suppose to close escrow the Tuesday after MLK holiday, I get a call, 2 days after our close of escrow day from Raj Patel, Lending manager with apologies and admitted they screw up , The loan had gone all the way through the process for FINAL approval when someone realized it was a PUD and NOT a condo, 3 levels of approval and NO ONE caught the error. He called me back now on Monday to tell me how hard they were working to FIX the problem. He had the gall to argued with me because I was asking a simple question, and that questions was, when will documents be in title, so we can close escrow. He kept avoiding the question. I extended the close of escrow for the buyers since this TERRIBLE transaction wasn't their fault. Later that week, we were trying to get hold of Chase, Vivian and Raj with NO returned calls, It came to the point that I needed to protect my clients and cancel the contract. We were well past the extended time Chase had asked for to close this escrow. Finally as were were filling out the cancellation paperwork, and escrow called me, stating that the Chase documents finally came in, the poor buyers had to scramble to bring their money into escrow for a special close. It was amazing, I started receiving e mails and phone calls from both Vivian and Raj on how wonderful they were to get this closed. Chase provided the WORST customer service throughout the transaction and I will relate to ALL my sellers from now and into the future, to THINK twice before we accept another contract with Chase as the lender. read more

This is a smaller Chase location in the Safeway strip mall. Their tellers are friendly, but their ATMs are always being hacked, which is the reason I stopped coming here. Even though you need a card door swipe to get to the ATMs after hours, they still get tampered with. One night I noticed wires sticking out of the right ATM card slot (there are two side by side) so I wrote a "broken" note on an envelope and propped it up on the screen. Visited again the next day and alerted the tellers; even though they had removed the sign , the wires were still sticking out, and they were allowing customers to still use the machine. When asked if they knew about it, the teller said, 'Yeah, it happens all the time. We called the police to look at it but..' and she shrugged her shoulders. I told them that they should put up a sign and asked if there was a manager on duty, but was told 'don't worry about it.' Don't worry about card skimming? Right. Not exactly the smartest thing for a bank. Perhaps she was in on it. In any case they need better safety protocol at this branch. I just wanted a couple of statements for my closed / inactive Chase freedom credit card, so i went to this branch but the staff over here is not at all helpful. Initially they did not believed i was having their credit card, then i showed several email proofs, then they got to know i had their card, then again it was inactive they needed to call freedom customer service. Showing security reasons then took another 2 hours to approve the request. By the time i left the office agreeing they will send me the Fax. After 3 hours i received fax but transactions were not readable and not solving my purpose. Requested them to send an email but they can not do that because of security reasons.
