I really hate to complain because everyone there is so nice, but I was in there a week ago today for a mani/pedi and my manicure is already chipping! Three nails are completely chipped off. I don't get manicures very often (once a year maybe), so I don't know if this is normal or not, but for the price, I am very disappointed that the polish didn't hold up even a week. I really want to love this place because the atmosphere is so cute and it is close to where I live. However, I have tried it 2 or 3 times over the past year and the customer service was very average. It is supposed to feel like a "treat" to go have a mani / pedi but the owners little kids were in there playing very loudly and she never told them to be quiet and it was very unprofessional. DO NOT GO HERE! They do not deliver on promises made. Chateau De Nails in more interested in collecting money with our rendering service than maintaining long time customer relationships. Will not honor gift card I bought for my fiancé's wedding. Gift card was bought pre Christmas for a June wedding. I informed by merchant that the wedding was not for another 6 months and I was informed it was not a problem. My fiancé in June went for her service and the fine print was shown that the gift card was "void after 120 days" Chateau De Nails has lost a regular customer and any future business from us. Upon speaking to management there was "nothing that can be done" and even after explaining the basic economics of what future sells and revenue they will be missing as they will lose a regular customer they did not care... just continued to refer back to the fine print. Never was the customer ever right or did they care to smooth things over. Chateau De Nails is happier to lose a customer of several years than honor a gift card. read more

I have contacted Jenna (owner of the salon) regarding an expired gift certificate of $25.00 given to me by my class on January 3, 2012. This money was collected by my room mom from every child and given to me on my birthday. I did not read the fine print that it was going to expire in 120 days of expiration and asked kindly for an extension of this certificate until next week to use it. Unfortunately Jenna refused to give an extension. I am very dissatisfied with how this request was handled . You have collected the money and are profiting 100%. I am sad to say that even though I am completely satisfied with your service in the salon, I am unable to recommend you to any of my friends for future business as well as I will make this known to the ones using you currently. read more

Getting my nails done on a regular basis is a chore.....Until I discovered this place. Here it is an experience. I LOVE THIS SALON.! I would never get my nails done regularly before but now for the past year i go every 2-3 weeks. The people are young hip energetic and happy to see you. Let me start off that this is a beautiful salon. I found a coupon in the mail for $30 SNS and was so excited to try out this salon for the first time. On the coupon there were no specifics so I was thinking "oh cool a $30 sns". Ended up coming out to $55, $5 to take off my acrylics, $5 to shape the nail, $5 to put nail tips on, $8 for the manicure (cutting of cuticle, lotion & hand massage). My nail artist seemed as if the manicure wasn't an option and needed to be done. I wasn't told of my total until the middle of getting my service so it kinda threw me off that with a $30 sns coupon, it came out to $55. (Just a heads up for whoever is trying to use that coupon.) Also, I am a cosmetology student currently, so I am aware of the cleanliness procedures that need to be done in between clients and during. I was disturbed to see my artist using a pool toy as my hand support, without a clean towel over top of it. Also, the tools being used on me did not look cleaned or disinfected such as the nail clippers and cuticle nippers. The vibes of this salon is very relaxing, everyone is very nice. I am writing this review not as a patroon but as an observer. The hour I spent in the salon has inspired me to write this review. Due to the nature of my work I have seen countless numbers of nail salons and having worked in a nail salon myself when I was just a young lad, gives me the confidence to say that Chateau De Nails is my favorite salon I have ever visited. Calling it a nail salon is incorrect, its a Nails Boutique. The owner is a skilled captain that runs a tight ship, and being a boutique she will accommodate special request, like the woman that I witnessed who booked a large party that requested wine and food be served. The entire staff is professional and over edger to help. While I was there, one of the staff members personally baked a cake for a client and I was lucky enough to join the entire "boutique" in singing happy birthday to the birthday girl. I could only imagine how far they would go for their customers. The decor is a sexy posh fem. which the owner proudly claims copy rights to. All in all I was very impressed with what I saw in the hour I was there and honestly I had fun observing the happenings in this (in my opinion) perfect Nails Boutique. read more

Service was awful, and painful. Upon entering, there was a male whom we thought was waiting for another customer. He apparently worked there and was very rude and non verbal to us on what to do and where to go. After repeating what we wanted 3 times, there was still confusion on the services we wanted (one of which I did not receive). The male that serviced me (same male from entry) did not say one word to me throughout the entire time and would nod and push my hand to what he wanted me to do. The lady who serviced my sister had better manners but both did not seem to do what we wanted. For my one gel fill in and my sisters one full set of acrylics with regular polish (did some sort of gel up charge which was $3 and did not seem to be a big deal) our total was $88 and mine was more expensive than hers. Never have I heard of such prices even in Atlanta. The location and service were not worth the money. Because my sister and I are respectful and too nice to say anything, we paid and we left. I just had ACL surgery and I am on crutches and as we were leaving, the male who did my nails just stood there as I struggled to open the door while my sister was trying to get to me to help. I have had my nails done here many times since posting my last review, just out of convenience, but now find that I much prefer this salon to others and that the staff are much more personable than before. I used to go here all the time and loved everyone there, the work they did and the atmosphere. The last couple of years myself as well as good friends have made appointments to come in and every time we get there they are not ready for us and it takes at least 30 minutes if not longer to get to us.... that is what an appointment is for. My 16 year old daughter got a gift card for her birthday but did not realize it was only valid for four months. She tried to use it six months after the purchase date but they would not honor it and took it from her. She was very upset when she got home so I called the shop to try to resolve this issue. The woman I spoke to was polite but still refused to honor the gift card. We live less than two miles from this shop and many of our family and friends have gone there for services over the years but she still would not agree to honor it. I am very disappointed when the how this was handled and will not return. There are plenty of other local businesses that will appreciate our business. read more

Fabulous salon!!! This is the best of the best! I have been a client of Jenna's, the owner of the salon, for several years now. I will not step foot into another salon because I am very picky about my nails. She extremely consistent, very professional and has a wonderful, friendly staff. Every single customer is greeted with a warm welcome the minute you walk thru the door. You know you are there to get pampered not only by the way you are delightfully treated but even down to the posh décor. I love going into a salon and everyone there makes you feel welcome as they all know me by my first name. I have a standing appointment with Jenna every other Friday! I took my daughters (ages 8 & 10) into the salon for all three of us to get our nails and toenails done before we left on a trip. I called first to see what time they were closing and they said they would take the last appointment at 6:00. (although, on their door it said they closed at 8:00) I got there at 5:25 and could tell immediately they were put out we were there. Trying to be accommodating to their moods, we simply asked for polish changes instead of full manicures/pedicures. The lady with blondish hair that did my older daughters nails/toes never smiled once! The lady that did my nails was nice as well as the lady that did my younger daughter's nails. My youngest loves getting patterns on her nails. When we paid in advance, I told them I knew she wanted a pattern on her toes but didn't know about her fingers. The bill was $51 and I added a $20 tip. Thought all was good until my daughter got a pattern on all of her finger nails, polka dots. I am using the dryer for my nails, when I notice most of the employees looking at my 8 year olds nails and arguing over her head!!! Apparently, She did not charge me enough and instead of telling me, they argued over my daughter's head about it. My daughter got upset b/c they were talking so ugly, that I asked what the problem was! I handed her a $20 and told her to take what she needed to solve the problem. She gave me back a $5. $86 total for polish changes and my daughter having people argue over her head. I will never be back, despite it being one of my favorites in the past! Unprofessional! read more
