One friend had the nail tech get snippy at her when the first nail was painted and the color was much brighter than she wanted. Still good mani pedi otherwise. Other friends had good service and two techs for each. I still just had the one. She finally started my hands and the first thing she did was take clippers and cut my nails to the fingertips - I was like WHOAH! But too late! All nails on my right hand are stubs! She says "you didn't say". You didn't ask you just chopped! Nails on right hand didn't get cut. And it was downhill from there! May be the worst mani pedi I have had! And expensive too! The salon is well designed and welcoming. I was offered a drink while being seated which is always a nice touch. While I prefer to use my pedicure time to respond to emails, catch up on any news I may have missed, etc. I think it's always important for you and your tech to (at minimum) make introductions, with the tech checking in on preferred nail shape, sensitivities, etc...maybe 5 minutes max of "getting acquainted" conversation. The extent of our exchange was which pedicure I wanted and that was pretty much it. Not necessarily a bad thing all the time, but on this occasion it presented more sales/transactional vs. valued customer. I started writing my review mid service, assigning a three star experience at the beginning; however, the young lady at checkout was kind, conversational, and attentive, which encouraged the bump in stars from three to four.
