When I came back inside at 11:44 a.m., I was informed that the wax specialist was running about 15 minutes behind. I asked if another specialist was available and was told that the other employee had called out, leaving only one wax specialist working that day. This information should have been communicated before my appointment or, at the very least, when I checked in early so I could have decided whether to wait or reschedule. Instead, I waited over 20 minutes before asking for another update. The receptionist apologized and said she wasn't sure what was happening. I explained that I could wait another five minutes, but then I would have to leave to pick up my daughter. A few minutes later, she told me she didn't expect the specialist to be available anytime soon as she had t even heard paper from the wax room that was being used and apologized again. She also offered to have the manager place a $20 credit on my account (didn't happen). I appreciate the receptionist's kindness and the thought of that gesture, as the delay was not her fault. However, the situation could have been handled much better. Everyone's time is valuable, and with my busy schedule, I intentionally arrived early out of consideration for both your staff and my appointment. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated experience. A couple of months ago, when I checked in, the reception area smelled strongly of marijuana. I had continued coming to this location because of the professionalism of my previous wax specialist, but she has since left to another location. Against my better judgment, I returned, and this experience has reinforced my concerns. I hope you will take this feedback seriously. Delays happen, but communication, professionalism, and respect for clients' time are what define a positive customer experience. I encourage you to evaluate the standards and customer service at this location so it better reflects your brand.
