I got a gift certificate for this place that expired 6 months from the issue date. I didn't like that very much. My schedule is crazy and I hate having such a limited time frame. Walking in, this place was just chaotic. They don't take appointments I was told on the phone and when I got there it was an hour wait. I was told to sign in but no one told me where to sign in. It took a while for me to figure it out. The "deluxe pedicure" was nothing special. They did but even massage my legs or feet. I've never gotten a pedicure where they did not massage. It felt so rushed. Same thing with the manicure, no massage and rushed. I really didn't feel comfortable or at ease the whole time I was there. I also got a massive headache from some kind of diffuser they had going mixed with the normal smells of a nail salon. 3 days after the services, the nail polish on all my finger nails have chipped away tremendously. DO NOT GO HERE!! UNSANITARY!!! If I could do zero stars i would. they gave me nail infections on 2 different nails then tried to say it was my fault. As a cosmetologist myself I know how to care for my nails & know that these things happen when proper sanitary procedures are not being followed. I'm filing a report with the State Board of Cosmetology as well as the Better Business Bureau. They should not be open. At all. They are putting the public's health at risk. read more

It's been a stressful 2 months with the changes at work and the kids at school. I went to my usual place and they turned me away. I was upset, which in hindsight seems ridiculous, but after the last two months all I've really wanted was a pedicure to feel... I dunno ... a little recharged. Quickly found this place and I found myself asking the nail technician in almost desperation if they take walk-ins at this hour. Clearly she said yes and with a smile and that's all I needed. First time at this nail salon and I won't be returning. English is very limited, they had a very hard time understanding me. When I said I couldn't understand the nail tech and asked another worker for help, the nail tech and the worker starting fighting in front of me. I have no idea what they were screaming about, but it's certainly not an acceptable. I was never offered to go wash or sanitize my hands, unlike other nail salons I've been to during this time of COVID. During the process of getting my French tips refilled, the nail tech was very aggressive and was rushing me, even though the place was empty. She hurt me multiple times, to the point that I yelped out and asked her to ease up. I almost felt like walking out. The nails themselves are not filled in properly, one can clearly see where the original set ended on each nail. The nail tech did a sloppy job and when she realized I was thoroughly disappointed with her job and the overall experience, she started to kiss my ass. However, the damage was already done. I left angry at the fact that I was charged $30 for a simple tip refill that was the worst I've received in 30 years. Worst experience EVER!!! My daughter was getting her nails done for prom and they made her wait for over an hour while they proceeded to work on 3 other customers that came in after us. The lady walked in the back after 10 mins and never came back. Not until I walked in the back to check on time frame was it brought to my attention that no one had even touched her nails yet!! Walked into the salon and didn't get a greeting. After looking me up and down all I was told was to pick a color. I told the nail tech that I wanted natural but she proceeded to say pick a color as of what I was saying was of no importance to her. I sat for about 15 minutes with only one other customer in the salon. I watched the tech pick up boxes, clean, and look at her phone until she noticed I was getting frustrated and told me to "sit in chair two". As she proceeded to start my nails she was watching her phone at the same time which was confusing to me because I thought all the attention should've been on the task at hand. My first thought was telling me to leave but my nails needed TLC badly. For a refill I was charged $40! FOR A REFILL!!!!! I am a very unsatisfied customer and I will never return to that salon. Very busy on a Saturday but that was to be expected. I only wish they would have been more up front about the waiting period. No one was waiting in the lobby which was deceiving. But they take you back to sit in the pedicure chair for a very long time without starting your water or asking if you'd like something to drink. Sat there for about 30-40 minutes before someone came over to start the water and the. Waited another 10-15 minutes before they finally got to me. I can appreciate being busy on a weekend but I had intentionally left other nail shops that morning after seeing the wait in the lobby to find a place a little less busy. As far as the skill of the service, my tech my exceptional. I received a pedicure, gel polish removal, and manicure. Not very personable but that's not as important as the job she did- which was very good. I would return here but maybe on a weekday and ask about the wait times up front. read more

So I go to Chateau Nail Salon on West Esplanade in Kenner to get a toe polish on my way home from work. The nail tech puts me in pedicure chair to polish my toes and says you can turn the massage on if you like. I try to but power. I relay to him that it's not on. He asks other techs if something wrong with chair then proceeds to chair on. Well the owner/manager comes and turns the chair off! "No massage with toe polish". Needless to say I was outdone! I went there yesterday to get a pedicure and it was a horrible experience. The first thing that set me off was when I tried to reposition my foot and the older man grabbed my big toe and pulled it back and proceeded to hold my big toe and look at me. Then, I yanked my foot from him and he smiled and then patted my foot. He didn't speak English. Then he starts to scrub my heel with the pumice stone and he was scrubbing my heel like you clean a bathroom. If you scrub it too hard and for that long your foot becomes raw and that's just what mine is right now. It is painful!!! It didn't stop there. He put lotion on my calves and started to massage. Then he thinks it will feel good to rub as fast as he can! No! Lastly, he layered on the polish which made it very hard to dry. 2 hours later it still would mess up if something touched it. Absolutely terrible. I went in for a fill and I had one broken nail. The guy began taking off my broken nail and I told him several times that what he was doing was hurting me. He continued and was like "I have to get nail off." He ended up splitting my nail down by the cuticle and now I'm in extreme pain and bleeding. He doesn't even apologize for causing me to bleed. He gets up and sends a woman over and she's very pushy with me. She wants me to get a full set claiming I "have a fungus under my nails." I do not have a fungus under my nails. I explained it was self tanner and she was like no it's not it's a fungus. I'm very clean and I've never had anyone ever tell me I had a nail fungus before. She told me if I got a full set it'd make the fungus go away, which I'm pretty sure that's not how that works. I told her I would just like to get a full and she then sighed annoyed. Then she gets up and sends another guy (so this is now the third person to do my nails) over and he finishes my nails. read more
