Mom's memory was declining, and she needed memory care. The first time I took a tour of Bonaventure I was highly impressed with the facility. Just walking through the front door gave a lift to my spirits in that I was greeted with a brightly lit, newly renovated looking facility. The dining rooms looked like elegant upper-level restaurant dining. I found out they have a "gourmet" chef on staff and after trying their food I would agree. All the staff - the administration, the nurses, and care aides - even the maintenance people - were all highly professional and personable. The facility was welcoming as well as the people who work there. Dulcie Chase, the admissions director, was very welcoming and pleasant; as was each of the receptionists and Dakota Bingham, the assistant executive director. They all give the impression that this is not just a business, it is a welcoming living space where residents are seen as people with feelings and needs. My mom, entering the end of her life with memory loss and dementia, had a couple weeks of adjustment she went through. After this adjustment period was over, she warmed up to the staff caring for her. I found the staff from the very beginning trying to make mom's stay as pleasant as possible, looking at all her needs, and responding to my requests. They truly cared for my mother up until the time of her passing. They were with her when she passed, which I really appreciated. The staff always welcomed my presence, visits, questions and suggestions. I did not have one negative experience with any of the staff. My wife's mother and father were also at Brookdale in Monroe until they could no longer give my father-in-law the level of care he required. We suggested Bonaventure and set it up for them to move. They were quite impressed with the facility, the food, and the care level offered to them. As of this writing my mother and father-in-law are residing there now. With my father-in-law's new and more intensive level of care, the staff is highly responsive to our calls and the Assisted Living Director, Lara, is easy to work with. I can tell Lara really cares about her job and the people she serves. My father-in-law is now getting the end-of-life level of care that he requires. I could not be happier with the facility and the staff who care for our elderly parents. I highly recommend Bonaventure.

She has a huge 850 sq ft studio with a walk in closet, full kitchen, storage room with washer and dryer hook up, huge bathroom with a walk in shower, AC. Some of the places I toured didn't have AC, lighting, no storage and very small rooms. There are also 1 and 2 BR apartments. My mom is in independent living since I am there every day to help her with her meds. She gets 2 meals a day. Visitors can join the meals for a reasonable charge. Holiday meals/buffets are amazing! I have met many nice people by sitting at different tables for dinner. The management and kitchen staff has changed numerous times, but the current staff is wonderful. The chef had his own restaurant at one time. There are activities all day that are available. My mom is 101 and attends the exercise class. There are additional drop in events such as magicians, singers, pianists, a mini pony, tea parties for birthdays, holiday parties, happy hour every Friday.

WO had by far the best food of any place we visited. They moved from their home in Kingson to Washington Oaks together for the first two months. The staff - every one of them!!!, is kind and aware of the needs of the residents. Mom can walk long safe distances with their sky bridges. Physical therapy and Exercise class is on-site. As a result, she keeps strong and keeps walking despite a severe bilateral disability in her muscles. I am confident being here because assisted care is available should she need it. More importantly, my Mom was impressed enough to sell her home in New Mexico and move to Washington Oakes, which is right in our neighborhood. Everyone you meet, staff and residents alike, are friendly and really seem to like it there. Many staff have been there a long time, which tells me the management puts as much emphasis on caring for their staff as they do their residents. The building itself is a wonderfully remodeled, historic school, truly a beautiful structure. The feeling it is cold, and everything is a clean. My mom is already enjoying participating in the activities, which there are many to choose from. We love Washington.Oakes, and Maricel is the BEST!

Very loving and caring. They treat my sister as if she was their own family. They take such excellent care. I wouldn't want her any place else. The house is beautiful, clean and always smells fresh. The bedrooms are nicely decorated. The sheets are colorful and pretty. Everything is quality. The fireplace in the living room is cozy. The whole house is very homey. The meals are very good and they pay attention to what the residents like. I could go on and on. This home is outstanding! I've asked to be put on the waiting list for when my time comes. :)

The staff were incredibly caring and competent and the other residents were amazing with her. Every time I visited she was engaged in an activity (e.g., chair exercises, puzzles, craft projects) or spending time with the other residents at a meal. Almost every time I visited, Traci was there at some point. She is someone that truly cares about her team and the residents. I also appreciated her communication with me... she kept me advised about my mother's condition and provided great and candid advice. As well, the house/yard was very nice and clean.

We moved in on 9/1/24. Good choice! We are in our 90s with realistic expectations of what the future holds.We want to share in the joy of being alive daily in a. supportive community, kind people to interact with pleasant surroundings good food capable physical help and encouragement. 1/1/2025 and nothing has changed our opinion. I personally still have heath and the life choices still available to me are enhanced by the entertainment special occasions provided and help fill my time as my wife sleeps for extended periods.I suspect that if I would be left by myself-I would just call this home. After 2 weeks of having outside 24hr care paid separately from facility, I was told they would re- evaluate to see if he was good with just their staff. It didn't happen I let the $5100.00 a week caregiver go and my husband was found on the floor less than a week later had phnemonia and passed away the 7th day after not having fulltime care. The nurse would not respond to phone calls and when she did it was with rude and had a nasty attitude. They did manage to give my husband more sedation meds after the caregiver was gone so they could keep him from wondering. I say look into memory facilities closely but I would pass on Harbour Pointe . They were planning on evaluating him on the day he died now that's convenient. I lived with my Mom in her last year of life at Creekside from 2023 -2024. I am so grateful that we…read morelived there, as the staff and residents created a loving family like atmosphere. The staff and residents went above and beyond for my Mom after a car accident and later, her terminal illness. The staff moved out all her furniture and placed it in their storage while we rented a medical grade mechanical bed, chair, commode, wheelchair, etc for her recovery after the car accident. They did this while Mom was still in the ER. So, everything was set up when she returned to Creekside. These details were typical for the staff to voluntarily do for residents all the time. Everything was wonderful at Creekside- the loving staff, the involved and friendly residents, the programs (live music every week!), the food (so good!), and the opportunity to be with people who still want to gather and explore the world. Lots of residents also travel the world, and then share their adventures. I felt that the room rate was reasonable for all the big and little things that happen at Creekside. Mom moved in in 2023, and Creekside was still more affordable that other places we toured in Woodinville. I heard from other Creekside residents that were already living there that the rates jumped up because the rates were so much lower than anywhere else, and covid supply prices (food, electrical, cable, property taxes, etc.) forced them to increase the rates. Creekside is not skimping on maintenance and cleaning and upkeep. Yelp is doing something weird with the algorithm, as there are some 5 star reviews that are hidden and not counted in the score of Creekside. I knew two of those reviewers, as I lived at Creekside for a year with them, so that Mom could stay after a disabling car accident and later, CJD. I find it weird that by not including those positive reviews, the score of Creekside is so low. This is a 5 star place! Its easy to find out if you take a tour, and ask any resident living there today for their honest opinion.

Our family has two members currently residing at Ida Culver House. One is totally independent and…read morethe other requires more support. Both are pretty happy with the environment. They both state that they really enjoy the meals and the dining facilities, also the opportunities to socialize with others in a variety of dining options. I am unable to address the costs with any accuracy so I will say I only understand that fees are 'hefty'. But that includes all expenses. The family members support each them with frequent visits and supplement anything they need. At times, the staff is not 100% on the ball and require that we keep check on doctor's orders. It is important to do this since health issues are involved.  There are a variety of activities offered and many residents take advantage of the offerings and state that the choices are outstanding. These activities offer so much, friendships, socialization, enjoyment and much more. The programs are high quality and open to all. So far, the individual apartments are pretty basic. The windows are large and open onto lovely landscaping. Moving in required that each family member had to leave much behind and only bring in a few treasured items to fit into the small apartments. For our family members it is important that we 'supplement' their lives with our support. We do so with love and affection.

Every time I visit the Ida Culver house, I am just so impressed with the quality of the staff. One of the places where the staff has an opportunity to really shine is in the dining room. Every time I am there, I am just so impressed with how the staff handles their roles, how kind and engaging they are with the residents. At the end of pretty much every meal, "someone" seems to always mentions how great the staff is.

Although we were very hesitant to make the change to memory care, we couldn't be more delighted with the unit. All the caregivers are excellent and treat us like family. Heck, we feel like family. I have never seen such an array of stimulating and enriching activities that Violet and the exercise and music therapists Diana and Kaiya provide. And it's written all over the residents' faces when they sing and participate. The movement therapist also is excellent and gets everyone moving with great songs! Additionally, the unit brings in special speakers for enrichment learning and other musicians for great song sessions. Overall, we are so pleased with Memory Care and glad we made the move. And from the looks of Dad's face, he is too!

It was great for retirement living with…read morelots to do, However, as their needs grew, Chateau claims to have Assisted living but they do not have the staff for it. The care givers were wonderful but the management communication is awful. Calls and emails go unanswered and never acknowledged. Even our move out communication wasn't any better. They are now in an adult family home with more staff and less expensive. If you decide to stay there be sure you have some kind of a view and not an unmaintained basement walkway.
