I moved my 92-year-old mother from Brookdale Assisted Living in Monroe to North Creek by Bonaventure on the Bothell-Everett highway in Bothell, WA. Mom's memory was declining, and she needed memory care. The first time I took a tour of Bonaventure I was highly impressed with the facility. Just walking through the front door gave a lift to my spirits in that I was greeted with a brightly lit, newly renovated looking facility. The dining rooms looked like elegant upper-level restaurant dining. I found out they have a "gourmet" chef on staff and after trying their food I would agree. All the staff - the administration, the nurses, and care aides - even the maintenance people - were all highly professional and personable. The facility was welcoming as well as the people who work there. Dulcie Chase, the admissions director, was very welcoming and pleasant; as was each of the receptionists and Dakota Bingham, the assistant executive director. They all give the impression that this is not just a business, it is a welcoming living space where residents are seen as people with feelings and needs. My mom, entering the end of her life with memory loss and dementia, had a couple weeks of adjustment she went through. After this adjustment period was over, she warmed up to the staff caring for her. I found the staff from the very beginning trying to make mom's stay as pleasant as possible, looking at all her needs, and responding to my requests. They truly cared for my mother up until the time of her passing. They were with her when she passed, which I really appreciated. The staff always welcomed my presence, visits, questions and suggestions. I did not have one negative experience with any of the staff. My wife's mother and father were also at Brookdale in Monroe until they could no longer give my father-in-law the level of care he required. We suggested Bonaventure and set it up for them to move. They were quite impressed with the facility, the food, and the care level offered to them. As of this writing my mother and father-in-law are residing there now. With my father-in-law's new and more intensive level of care, the staff is highly responsive to our calls and the Assisted Living Director, Lara, is easy to work with. I can tell Lara really cares about her job and the people she serves. My father-in-law is now getting the end-of-life level of care that he requires. I could not be happier with the facility and the staff who care for our elderly parents. I highly recommend Bonaventure. read more

l moved my mom into the Bothell Bonaventure Nov. 2021 after touring many facilities and I have been very happy with the move. She has a huge 850 sq ft studio with a walk in closet, full kitchen, storage room with washer and dryer hook up, huge bathroom with a walk in shower, AC. Some of the places I toured didn't have AC, lighting, no storage and very small rooms. There are also 1 and 2 BR apartments. My mom is in independent living since I am there every day to help her with her meds. She gets 2 meals a day. Visitors can join the meals for a reasonable charge. Holiday meals/buffets are amazing! I have met many nice people by sitting at different tables for dinner. The management and kitchen staff has changed numerous times, but the current staff is wonderful. The chef had his own restaurant at one time. There are activities all day that are available. My mom is 101 and attends the exercise class. There are additional drop in events such as magicians, singers, pianists, a mini pony, tea parties for birthdays, holiday parties, happy hour every Friday. read more

My parents have lived at North Creek for a year now. We absolutely love the facility and the staff. Management does a good job of being professional while keeping a caring environment for the residents. We like that there is independent living for my parents, but that they can transition to assisted living if necessary. Very friendly and fun environment. read more

Because we are in "assisted living" we depend on the caregivers here to help us every day. They are great! I don't know how they all keep their up beat attitudes and humor. Even with the huge job of running North Creek, the staff takes time to listen to concerns. And the residents! In a facility like this, the other residents become your friends and neighbors. Being able to wave at friends across the room and say "Good Morning!" to many fellow residents is a good start to any day. Would we recommend North Creek to friends? Yes we would! it's our "home". Having left this facility, I can give a more accurate account. Bonneventure Retirement is much like other communities in the area: very expensive ($5720 for our two bedroom apartment), marginal food (5 star my a**), spotty maintenance ( they promise, promise, promise to do stuff, and nothing ever happens), and hit or miss housekeeping (depending on how many housekeepers have quit that week). We once went a month without housekeeping. Think we got any discount in our bill? Not a chance. When we left, management was going to check into whether we would be compensated for the 3 year old washer and dryer we left behind. We're still waiting. After the big December ice storm, my wife slipped and fell on the pavement they had not treated and broke her arm. Think anyone on staff was concerned? Not a chance! Bonneventure is typical of the corporate retirement industry where the bottom line is the most important factor. If your loved one has dementia, or is physically disabled, take a chance on them. Looking for a place for Mom & Dad and stumbled upon this gem. Bigger room and suites, full service, great food, and close to home, we were surprised it was also the most price-worthy of anything we looked at. Big kudos for having a memory unit, which means mom wouldn't have to move if this service was necessary in the future. Sit-down shower, view of the Northcreek Ridge, and music shows throughout the year, this place has my vote. read more

This place is TERRIBLE. Zero communication between staff, management & families. They show good face, BEWARE!

We have been so fortunate to find North Creek by Bonaventure Bothell in our time of need. We visited nearly every Sr Assisted Living Care facility with memory care within a 25 mile radios and from the very start North Creek stood out and set the bar for what we were looking for. I can tell you that without a doubt, this was one of the nicest facilities, but more than that, the residents and the staff all looked you in the eye and were bright eyed and full of life and spirit. How often do you see this at a Sr. Living facility. I am 100% certain that this all flows down from the amazing executive director of the facility- Jessica Lane. Jessica has to be one of the most caring and loving people I have ever met. She immediately made us feel like family and valued us, understood us, and helped us through an incredibly difficult time. I personally would not have made it through this search and move without her. Everything at North Creek is full of life and vitality thanks to Jessica. We are blessed to be able to move my father here and that they had an opening. If you need a place for a Sr. loved one.... you could not do any better than North Creek by Bonaventure. You owe it to yourself and to your loved one to check this place out. 5 stars all the way from the first moment! read more

This is a beautiful facility. Unfortunately, the follow through of the management there is horrible. I have asked for information several times only to get excuses from Adrienne that "It must have gotten lost in the mail". They had my email too so they have problems with snail mail and email??? This has now happened 5 times over the course of many many weeks. You would think they would want to provide the information to interested potential customers. I know they have vacant rooms so it isn't that they are full. They definitely lack professionalism there. No thanks. read more

I wish I could show you how badly seniors and staff are treated at North Creek. They could care less about your loved ones. They made the pace look stylish, but what they don't tell you is the dining room is freezing, the food is like pet food and if one of the residents has an emergency forget it. They ignore call lights, steal resident's things, and could care less about the seniors who live there. They have WA State constantly out doing welfare checks for elder abuses. Staff are underpaid and fired for no reason. It doesn't matter that they work without breaks or lunches, they want you to keep your mouth shut and then they still may fire you. The new director, David and the Resident Care Coordinator Jackie sit in his office and laugh and joke about the residents and how stupid they are...but keep selling rooms or else!! This company should be out of business - greedy, no morals and plain dangerous. Grab your loved one's hand and your wallet and run fast in the other direction. read more
