This terrible management style results in a revolving door for all staff, and the residents and their families feel the impacts of that. The staff do often provide great care regardless because the job requires so much empathy, but the work is hard, pay is awful, constantly having staffing issues, and management just gets in the way and doesn't listen to staff or residents' feedback. They haven't been able to keep the same manager for years, and it's such a chaotic work environment. But there was no actual abuse or neglect that occurred as far as I'm aware. My biggest impression overall: They care more about making the facility look nice on tours for potential residents than they do about their actual, current residents or staff.

Classic bait-and-switch. This is what happens in memory care in WA. You're just changing the…read moredrapes. Care is the same. Too many high-needs residents, too high of staff turnover with low pay while the corporations that exploit our vulnerable elders laugh all the way to the bank. If I had known, I would've gone straight to an Adult Family Home over a corporate monster. The prices are better, stablized, and you don't magically get thousands extra pulled from your bank account without any meetings or signatures while your out-of-the-country, entrusting your mother's care to folks who will have her reeking of urine when you get back. No follow through on PT and OT. Covid within a week of checking-in. Plopped in a wheelchair to atrophy. The memory care director quitting within a few weeks. One outing in nearly a year's time. Athletes foot. Bruises. Open wounds gone unreported. Front desk reception are super nice. Select care staff are super sweet and knowledgeable. The rest are leaving mom to piss herself because there's a shift change or they're in a meeting. I threw out my back toileting her because for over 45 minutes, despite me pressing call buttons and screaming down the hall, no one would help. And corporate are just there for the money. Mom's first week had the cops there to break up a fight and haul a guy away. Subsequent weeks would have men wandering into her room, taking a piss in her toilet, stealing her things, and these same fellas dropping trau in the hallway to take a dump. Not the old fellas fault. The fault of the people who run this sinking ship. Find your loved one an Adult Family Home. Stop giving these greedy corporate b*stards what's left of your family savings.

They are very caring people who's bedside manner is respectful, understanding, loving and kind. I'm immediately told of any medical issues so I know they are in great care. Nilda wants the best for her residents and is so thoughtful with activities and special celebrations. Birthday parties, painting parties and bringing in musicians are just a few of the wonderful things she does. She pays attention to each individual's wants and needs. She paints with my mom, buys connect-the-dot activity books for my dad. Yes, we love this place so much, I moved my dad in too! The home is extremely clean and inviting. Each of my parent's rooms have french doors out to the beautiful backyard. The grounds are impeccable. They've created a park-like environment with walking paths, a fountain and a beautiful covered/heated gazebo for residents and their families. To me, this is above and beyond what most other facilities would provide. They are constantly making improvements to the property, inside and out. I highly recommend this home. They give your family member a soft place to land when they need it most.

The owners, Tigist and Yonas are two of the kindest and most loving and caring people I have ever met. They have welcomed me into their family with open arms and have made my move and transition to AFM living very easy. They have been providing exceptionally healthy and delicious food, based on what I like and have been doing all they can to assist with my settling in process. They have a lovely home in a very quiet neighborhood yet very close to shopping and transportation. I am very pleased with the quality of their care, assuring my daily needs are met and assisting me as needed with my love of baking and cooking in their well-appointed kitchen. They and their three daughters live in the lower level and it has been very nice getting to know them. I brought my Christmas nutcrackers and Christmas tree decorations with me and we have had fun decorating the upstairs together. I highly recommend Abigail Adult Family Home to anyone looking for a quality home environment for their senior family member or for themselves. I was nervous about moving to an AFH but now know I made the right decision moving here!

They both state that they really enjoy the meals and the dining facilities, also the opportunities to socialize with others in a variety of dining options. I am unable to address the costs with any accuracy so I will say I only understand that fees are 'hefty'. But that includes all expenses. The family members support each them with frequent visits and supplement anything they need. At times, the staff is not 100% on the ball and require that we keep check on doctor's orders. It is important to do this since health issues are involved.  There are a variety of activities offered and many residents take advantage of the offerings and state that the choices are outstanding. These activities offer so much, friendships, socialization, enjoyment and much more. The programs are high quality and open to all. So far, the individual apartments are pretty basic. The windows are large and open onto lovely landscaping. Moving in required that each family member had to leave much behind and only bring in a few treasured items to fit into the small apartments. For our family members it is important that we 'supplement' their lives with our support. We do so with love and affection.

At the end of pretty much every meal, "someone" seems to always mentions how great the staff is.
