Super classy, excellent service, a pianist, and delicious food. This is my kind of restaurant. I'm so glad I came here one night to experience Chatham's Place Restaurant. Now the only weird thing is I asked to sit at the bar and the hostess was like well we don't really have a bar, instead all we have are these 2 tables basically in the narrow hallway that walks you back to the main dining room. Location was a little suspect, and in the way, but it doesn't take away from the full experience. Up first was a dish compliments of the chef. It was basically a mini hard slice of bread with tomatoes, olive oil, and some other stuff on top. It was a great two bites to start. To drink I had the $22 espresso martini. It was perfect. A legit spot for an espresso martini. For an appetizer I had the $29 pork belly. It was great, small portion, but great. For the main entrée I had a penne pesto pasta that they make table side in a giant cheese bowl. It was excellent. I also, had a $20 margarita. It was standard. Overall, a very nice meal with excellent service. There were quite a few compliments of the chef items. read more

I think I can safely say this is not just one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando, it's one of my favorite restaurants, period. There's something about an independently owned an operated restaurant that just brings an incredible vibe. It never hurts that there is a guy playing piano where you will hear everything from jazz riffs to Frank Sinatra! The service is always impeccable, and that isn't just thrown out there, the servers don't hover yet you really wait for nothing. It's the kind of place where every entrée is delivered at the same time to the correct person without ever asking. Don't sleep on the soufflé! You do have to put your order in about 35 to 45 minutes in advance, but it might be the most decadent, delicious dessert I can think of in any restaurant any place! read more

One of my favorite dining experiences to date!!! This is a meal from March 25, 2023, I forgot I took pictures and was telling someone about it and had to post. The service is unbelievable. If you get up to use the restaurant, your napkin is folded when you get back. I don't think my water glass was ever less that 3/4 full. I got a little chilly and the server offered me a sarong to put around my shoulders. The outside is extremely unassuming for the quality of the meal,place etc, and the inside is small and cozy. Pretty dimly lit, which was hard for my in laws to read the menu, but I think they provided lights? I thought I remember someone telling me they only book the number of reservations as they have tables for each evening, so you can take your time and enjoy. But maybe I'm making that up. They also had a pianist jamming out for part of the night. He was great and hilarious, taking requests etc and really added to the vibe of the evening. Now on to the best part, THE FOOD. I wish I remembered the names but the menu may have changed by now anyway, but each dish was absolutely insane. The winner, which might seem like the easy pick bc they're usually a highlight if they're done properly, was the steak. But this wasn't just any steak, it was hands down the best steak I have ever had in my entire life. I remember each steak in my top 5 and this one is at the very top, I almost cried. Other highlights was this crunchy bowl with I think fish was inside? It was made out of a puff pastry and had herbs that the chef grew himself which was neat. My mother in law got tableside pasta and cheese which was a fun presentation. The desserts were amazinggggg!! Homemade chocolate soufflé WOW. And lastly, drinks were great. I got all mocktails and they weren't just boring mocktails, they were still creative and tasty. My husband enjoyed the manhattans so much he had a few too many lol I wish we still lived in Florida or got to go at least one more time before we moved. One of my favorite restaurants ever. I've been telling my husband I wanted to dine here for a few years now, so this year he made reservations to celebrate my birthday. Parking was super easy and I was immediately greeted upon walking in. They have a small, but well stocked bar, with a full on Bourbon closet. It's pretty cool. I'm a big fan of old fashioned cocktails like a Bee Knees or Clover Club. I get frustrated trying to explain to bartenders how to make them and usually end up with a gin and tonic, which I also love, but is hard to mess up and not remotely complicated. When I asked this bartender about a Bees Knees or Clover Club he immediately knew what both were and made suggestions based on the particular gins he had on hand. It was one of the best Bees Knees I've had. The restaurant is small and probably only seats about 50 people at a time. There is a piano player who played and sang throughout the meal. My husband spoke with him and he played one of my favorite songs and referenced my name a few times throughout the night. It was a really nice touch. Our table had birthday confetti on it and everyone made sure to tell me happy birthday. For dinner we started with the escargot and Caesar salad. Both were good. For our entrees we had the lamb chops and chicken ala Bruce. The lamb chomps are what they are best known for here and my husband thought they were the best lamb chops he ever had! He couldn't stop raving about them! At our server's recommendation I had the chicken ala Bruce which had cheese and tomato and was served with a ravioli. It may sound simple, but it was so good! Everything at this restaurant tasted so fresh! The tomato on the chicken was just stunning and the sauce for the ravioli was incredible. We also had 2 amuse bouche, and a palatte cleanser. For dessert I had the white chocolate souffle which was perfection. My husband had the bananas foster, which was a bit alcohol forward for us. Wow! 5 stars all around. What an intimate space that is so lovely with the live music and also view into the kitchen. The outside of the building is deceiving how nice it is inside. This is an amazing dinner restaurant tucked away in an office building in Dr Phillips. Reservations are required and can be hard to get as they allow diners to stay as long as they like and it is a small place. The service is so personal and attentive that you feel like a family member. There's a piano player who played non-stop for our entire dinner and takes requests as well. The food is magnificent, everything we had was delicious. We were served an amuse bouche to start our meal and even got a sorbet as an intermezzo in between appetizers and entrees! Disappointing. I was prepared to pay a lot, and did. Unfortunately, several things didn't measure up. Service was sub par. Had to ask for menus. Champagne ordered and ready to serve but Sommelier didn't know the price. The waiter described an appetizer special of small scoops of pasta Bolognese, eggplant parmesan, and two tiny four cheese raviolis. No price was shared. I was expecting it to be around $30. When I got the bill, it was $69. Speaking of the bill, the waiter had asked if I wanted a second ravioli to accompany my entrée for an additional $10, to which I agreed. The bill noted it for $13. After pointing it out, the waiter corrected it. The plus, however, was that the food was delicious...just not worth anything close to the price. read more

So we went here for an anniversary dinner. It is a small restaurant so you must have reservations. Once you have a reservation that table is yours the whole night there isn't another party waiting. This is a restaurant you take your time in you can order everything under front and they will space out the courses. The have live entertainment and a full bar. We visited this awesome location to celebrate our anniversary. The service was so welcoming and friendly-as if we were long time customers. They had the table covered on hearts for our celebration which was a nice touch. Since I was vegetarian and there wasn't much on the menu for vegetarians, the chef made a special pasta just for me. It was so flavorful as was all other foods we tried. The chef would send complimentary bites which were nice surprises. The bartenders were so helpful and informative. We were well-attended to, without being rushed. When you reserve a table at this hidden gem, it is yours for the evening. It is dim inside and there is usually live music in the background. Everything is very old school fine dining, which is so hard to find in the Orlando area, but such an enjoyable experience. We ordered the salmon tartare, the crab cake, the steak, the surf and turf special, multiple sides and the dessert trio. Everything was absolutely outstanding. This place does have a price tag to match it's top notch experience, but it is worth every penny, especially if you're coming for a special occasion. Wowzers! I was fortunate enough to visit Chatham's Place months back and I was so glad I did! First off, this is a very small restaurant tucked away in a none touristy area, make sure to make reservations as tables do not turn over! The staff are amazing here, one of the best in restaurant experiences I have had in many many years. Attention to detail is key for them and they always arrive right when you start thinking about needing assistance, quite impressive. As for the restaurant aesthetics themselves, it will not blow you away, but a very cozy and intimate setting, perfect for special occasions. When it comes to the wine and food, expect a perfect list and of course their in house sommelier with match your food with the perfect dish, so no thinking required honestly. We opted for a glass of bubbly followed by a delicious bottle of Spanish wine from the Rioja region (To die for). Appetizers consisted of bruschetta and buttered cauliflower...which I could of just eaten that all night and been a happy camper. As for the main courses, we ordered a red fin snapper on a bed of homemade pasta and glazed duck. Honestly some of the best food I have had in a long time, trying to explain the superb flavors may as well be a novel itself. Now, one thing to note, unless you have money to blow, Chatham's is built for the experience and it comes with a price tag. I am sure many have seen the costs, but beware this is a not a nightly occasion for most, but oh so worth it though for the special one in your life. read more

Even though this last time would not repeat the Beef Carpaccio, good but too much cheese that is not actually even mentioned, and the Seafood Pasta special was in part terrific seafood but not well described either as it was more of bouillabaisse and not really over a pasta as was highlighted. Anyway, do look forward to returning. They don't seem to advertise and not caught up on this Michelin thing that now there seems to be "Michelin Stars" being handed out all over the place. read more

We actually enjoyed being outside as it was a more private area and offered us fresh air. Staff was taking great care for COVID measures with masks, cleaning, and spacing. This is probably one of the best, and most romantic, upscale restaurants I've ever been to. They pay such attention to every little detail in their service, decor, presentation and taste of food, and you're treated like absolute royalty during the entirety of service. The ambiance is intimate and cozy, almost wine cellar themed (and they have an incredible wine list by the way) complete with roses and candles lining every table, dim lighting to set the mood, and a piano player serenading you with beautiful slow background music during your meal. When we told our waiters that we were celebrating our one year anniversary, they went above and beyond. Happy anniversary confetti sprinkled on our table. Two individual appetizers (bruschetta and homemade pasta), complements of the chef. Surprise dessert brought out to us (the most delicious tres leches cake) complete with a candle in it. We felt so special and taken care of. Let's not forget the main reason you dine out: the food. You could tell everything was fresh and homemade, and made to order but worth waiting for. Everything perfectly seasoned. My lamb chops were the best, most tender, most perfectly cooked lamb chops I have ever eaten. Even the bread was unique. It was a feta cheese stuffed loaf with crispy edges and a soft interior. I cannot stress enough how perfect this place would be for your next special occasion or romantic date night dinner. A beverage is available for every course of your meal and they have hard and soft drink options. Some of the tastiest fresh baked bread and canapies. I had meant to leave a review after dining here four months ago for our annual Anniversary dinner. We ordered the black grouper and the filet minion (and an appetizer). While the food was very good as always, my husbands steak and the fish for that matter were over $70 each. (I actually think it was over $80 but I don't want to embellish as it's been a couple of months). This includes no sides which are $15-$20 each. Service was okay too. Not the amazing service we have received for the past 10 yrs of coming here. The server seemed more intrigued about talking to us about the table next to us and the 10 year old boy that comes every week and orders caviar. Another woman rolled her giant stroller through the dining room. (we have kids - this just isn't the place you bring them?) The whole night just seemed 1. fairly rushed 2. meh service 3. very good food but the bill came and was over $300 before tip. IDK - the place seems to be losing it's touch and with so many other high end restaurants in the area we will sadly be going somewhere else.... Also recently received an email to "book a NYE reservation". Never have I seen this from Chatham's. Wondering if they are seeing traffic down. (We had a reservation) We were celebrating my husband's birthday and the waiter sprinkle some Happy Birthday confetti on his end of the table. Our daughter have a kick of it. There is a bit of everything in the menu plus some daily dishes worth to try. Everything is a la carte. The meal started with a small appetizer complements of the chef to get our appetite going. For appetizers we ordered 2 daily dishes - Tuna over avocado mouse with pate and Seafood appetizer. Portions small but enough as a starter. For entrees: Italian Combo (which seems to be a fixed in the menu - 1 large Ravioli and Small Piece of Filet Mignon Lasagna) this is the only dish I thought for the price they could have served a larger portion. The Duck Breast was so delicate with a blueberry or blackberry sauch (can't remember) and I accompanied it with a side dish of asperagus. The fish over pasta was good, but again the portion of the pasta could have been a bit more. For dessert, we got the white chocolate soufflé which we ordered from the get go as it takes time to prepare. I am not a fan of white chocolate but this soufflé was good. Overall, the experience was fantastic although deducted 1 star because for the price of a dish (such as the Italian Combo ~$40) portions could have been a bit generous. read more
