Absolutely amazing little side restaurant to Akasaka sushi! They have their own entrance, but we did go in through the main entrance. I took off a star because the restrooms had a very strange smell, and it was almost to a point to where I had to hold my breath. Anyhow, our waitress, which I completely forgot her name, she was wonderful. She made us a lychee martini with all sake, and it was so delicious! We ordered the eggplant skewers, the steak skewer, mushroom skewer, wings, two sushi rolls and the Ramen. We were so stuffed! We each took some food home as well. I will definitely be back here for the sushi and the drinks!

Came in on Thursday for a date night and was super pleased! Didn't know this was connected to Akasaka and shares the same enterance. Our waiter was super nice. I enjoyed some edamame and dumplings as starters. The dumplings were steamed and so soft! Next we got our rice cakes which were just so delicious, but I just love rice cakes lol! For the final roll, I got the flaming K roll, which caught me attention as it had curry sauce! This roll literally came out fire. Overall, everything was delicious and brought out slowly to enjoy each plate individually. I paired this meal with a refreshing lychee martini that did not disappoint. Definitely will have to come back as the menu has so many yummy items to pick from!

Walked in. Friday night. Per yelp, their hours were 7pm- whenever. I didn't catch the closing hours. We arrived at 720pm and the place was getting packed. There were maybe 3 empty tables left and we grabbed one of the last few. Parking for this plaza is plentiful but is also super packed. It shares it with so many other businesses and it's a huge plaza. We parked a little farther and walked. The entrance for this place isnt actually where the door is, it's actually right through the door of the restaurant Nextdoor. We walked in. Was greeted and told the hostess that we'd like to dine at Tapanomi. She said okay, grabbed a few menus and walked over and sat us right away before it got busy. We were greeted right away. Our waitress took our drink orders, explained the menu a bit and gave us some time to look over the menu. By the time she came back with our drinks, we were ready to order. Apparently we heard her saying all night that she was also the waitress but also making the drinks as well. :) We ordered a handful of things. Fried oysters, shrimp tempura (it came w/veggies), scallop and steak skewers, tuna hand roll, chicken skin, tempura roll, oyster roll (something like that), mushroom skewer, chicken heart and gizzards. Hubby's favorite were the fried oysters. My favorite was the shrimp tempura. Our least favorite and what we won't recommend and will not order again if we came back here would be the chicken skin. Gross! The chicken skin was basically a long piece of boiled chicken skin in sauce. The sauce couldn't help cover up the lack of taste. The grease and fatty texture was disgusting. It's boiled chicken skin. There's no other way to put it. Service throughout was good. The chefs even brought out some of the dishes themselves. Our waitress was busy but she checked up on us often. May come again, but honestly, after seeing this place on Instagram it seemed like it was legit good chill place/vibe and good food. The hype was definitely not all that.

Great dinner experience. We enjoyed the different plates we got which included the steamed gyozas, takoyaki, salmon tataki, salmon and yellowtail hand rolls, and a few different yakitoris and steak options. Favorite app was the takoyaki. I enjoyed the batter being more cooked and the sauces it came with made it super flavorful. The filet mignon steak skewer was my husbands favorite out of all the ones we tried. All the skewers had great flavorful and I would say getting about 3 to 4 with an app will fill you up. The kawa skewer was different from what are used to which is much more crispier. Theirs had more chicken meat with the skin. Just something to keep in mind if you were wanting to try it. Overall great great service and the vibes were very cute and intimate here.

Tapanomi is a 10/10. Vibe is lowkey and intimate. Each set is set with cute chopsticks and a small dish. Food is extremely flavorful and was cooked to perfect. Servings are perfect for sharing. Every dish had top tier presentation. Fresh and tasty! This is added to my top spots in Orlando. The fried rice was one of my favorite dishes. It was huge and had rice and chicken and egg in it. The ribeye was extremely flavorful. I recommend getting their skewers that are cooked in front of you.

Stop in for a late night get together, placed wasn't packed so that was goood for us. We ordered plenty of items on the menu. The drinks were nice and strong. I wasn't a fan of the handrolls way too much rice. I did enjoy the dumplings as well as the fried grilled fish. Staff were friendly and attentive.

I don't even know where to start with this place Tapaonomi is that spot. You know when you find a restaurant that just hits on every level? That's this place. It's new, it's fresh, it's got a vibe, and I'm already plotting my next visit. No exaggeration I wish I was back in town just to eat here again tonight. The energy here is unmatched. Good music, great lighting, chill crowd it's got that "late night in Seoul" kind of feel, right in the heart of Orlando. It's stylish without trying too hard, and it makes you want to stay a little longer, order another round, and try just one more thing off the menu. Speaking of the menu... we tried most of it (don't judge me), and they do not miss. I'm talking Korean wings that are perfectly crispy and full of flavor, ribeye that melts in your mouth, and fried rice that had me low-key licking my fingers. No shame. Every dish had its own personality but still worked together like a greatest hits album. The best part? It's all affordable. You're getting top-tier flavor and presentation without your wallet crying at the end of the night. Plus, the staff? On point. Friendly, quick, and they actually know the menu shoutout to our server for recommending the perfect mix of dishes. Tapaonomi isn't just a restaurant it's an experience. Late night foodies, date night folks, or just anyone who appreciates really well-done Korean food: do yourself a favor and check it out. You'll probably catch me there next time, sitting at the bar, ordering the wings again.

Great food, in a Japanese stile ambience.. cozy, familiar and busy. The service not too good but it's justified since they just opened and they good overnight successful. A place with great future. The drinks were good good.. The fifth start will be earned once the provide a service aligned with the expectation. Great place!

Honestly this place a vibe. If you're looking for place to chill or have a nice date night. This is the spot. It's next door to Akasaka, another restaurant to dine and enjoy great food. Both Akasaka and Tapanomi are connected to each other restaurant. You have enter through Akasaka, where you check in to enter Tapanomi. Anyways, yes. This place is a vibe with the chill music, low lights, and little lamps on each table. It was all a very chill experience. Service was super nice. Our server was knowledgeable of the menu. She accommodated our wants and needs. The chef actually walk by a few times to check up on everyone making sure everyone was okay. Which I LOVE! Food was great as well. Very tasty. Each dish had their own unique and delicious taste. I got the matcha margarita as well, and it was so so good actually. Overall, would come again for everything this place had to offer for their customers.

This is my new favorite late night sushi spot. AMAZING service. The sushi, tapas, drinks, everything on the menu was phenomenal. The chef shin was informative and knowledgeable. Love the aspect of Japanese and Korean cuisine together. This chef and his vision will be taking Orlando's asian culture to a whole new level. I LOVED it here. 10/10

I tried Tapanomi out for the first time tonight and it definitely did not disappoint. I believe this is a brand new addition added on to an existing restaurant in the Plaza I wasn't entirely sure, but there was definitely two restaurants in two different menus we were given the option to order off of both which I thought was nice. Everything here was tapas style and very shareable. My party and I all shared everything and we had no complaints about anything. my favorite was the coconut shrimp hand roll. I will definitely be coming back just for that!

We went there last night with our two kids and had a very disappointing experience…read more We ordered two orders of bulgogi, one kimchi fried rice with bulgogi on cold bowl, and one kids' meal. We waited around one hour, and the waiter kept telling us that our food was "almost done." When the food finally came, my husband's cold bowl was still missing, so we had to share the food we received. The bulgogi was extremely watery and tasted like it had a lot of MSG. On top of that, our waiter forgot our drinks, so I had to remind him. I also had to ask another waitress for utensils. Meanwhile, another table that arrived about 20 minutes after us received their food before we did. The waiter never checked on us or seemed to care about the situation. Given the poor service and long wait, we decided we were not going to leave a tip. At the end, he gave us an $18 discount, which we appreciated as at least an attempt to address the situation, although we were still very unhappy. But then things got even worse. The menu clearly stated that an automatic gratuity applies to parties of 5 or more. We were a party of 4, so that policy did not apply to us. However, when we paid with our credit card, we noticed that a $19 tip had been added automatically even though we had not authorized or agreed to leave a tip. After that, the waiter and waitress were nowhere to be found. We were exhausted and had two kids with us, so we decided to leave rather than spend even more time dealing with the situation. This entire experience was frustrating from beginning to end -- extremely slow service, missing food, forgotten drinks and utensils, poor food quality, and an unexpected tip added to our credit card despite the menu's stated automatic gratuity policy. Unfortunately, never again.

I booked through Resy for a 7:30 reservation, but came quite early around 6:45. Thankfully, they were still able to seat me at the sushi bar. I had to go with the usual old fashioned for my drink (16 dollars). It was a generous pour, and just had the right amount of strength to let me bob my head to the dancing lounge music. For my appetizer, I tried the tuna crudo. It was expertly prepared, and the tuna was quite fresh. I did enjoy the toppings and sauces too, but wish the sauce had a bit more flavor. For my entree, the Kasai don had various of different fish that was nicely presented. All the fish were fresh enough, but I was expecting the melt in your mouth tenderness from the fish, and the umami from the rice. While it was still good, it just didn't have the vibe from the previous years. I was expecting the quality to be close to Kadance or Juju, but it was more equivalent to Seito or Dragonfly. It was however, generous in portions, in which I was a bit too stuffed to finish the rice. For dessert, I wanted to do the chocolate lava cake, but I thought it would be too heavy for me. So instead, I took the green tea creme brulee. It was much lighter and had the right amount of earthy flavor. It also has various fruits to enjoy too. The service was good and professional. My server was prompt and I saw lots of people cleaning up and clearing plates. The sushi chefs were very busy, so I didn't see any of them engaging with the customers. The vibe is still upscale and the music makes the beat control my body. Parking was thankfully easy, but free valet was available too. The cost of the magical dining increased to 60 dollars for this restaurant, so it was definitely a splurge. While the quantity matches the cost, I wish the sushi fish melted in my mouth and had ninjas riding on my taste buds. I guess I was just in more stubborn mood and my expectations set too high. It was still an enjoyable dinner, and I am definitely coming again. And I am so happy that they participate in Resy benefits with my credit card, so American Express took care with almost half of the costs. Next time, I may splurge more with the omakase options, and maybe my taste buds will ride off to bliss. Overall: B+ (still a good and fun restaurant).

I took a special cocktail that I forgot the name, but it was made with rice vodka. It was a sweet and fruity cocktail, and the booze feeling came afterwards. Pretty good for 16 bucks. It looked like noodles, but had a nice small crunch after every bite. My second course was nigiri sushi, which included salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. All of them were nice and fresh, and most of them melted in my mouth as well. Adding the house made soy sauce added the umami needed. The third course was the volcano roll, which was hemachi, bacon, jalapeno, and avocado in the bottom, with scallops and imitation crab on top. It was very enjoyable, especially the scallops and fish. The food was quite filling as well. Thankfully I still had room for dessert, and the ube flan was sinfully good. It tasted like an authentic flan with the ube fusion. It was better than the flan at some Mexican restaurants. The service was professional and more attentive than the last time I visited. It was pretty quick as well. The vibe still look chic and upscale. Definitely worthy of the three diamonds it got from AAA. Parking is still free and easy at the complex. Outdoor seating was available and has great views of the fountains. I am so happy that I finally got an excellent magical dining experience for 2026. I guess third time was the charm. Dragonfly had great quality of food and it was quite filling too. And it is still 40 dollars for magical dining, making this a great deal. Even though ordering is done on an iPad, they still kept forgetting items. We had to remind the staff multiple times before the food finally arrived. Every dish took 10-15 minutes or longer to arrive, yet customers are expected to finish their meal within a 90-minute time limit. This is a Japanese BBQ restaurant where the staff is simply bringing out raw meat for customers to grill at the table. There is really no reason it should take 10-15 minutes to deliver each order. To make it even more frustrating, the restaurant wasn't even busy. During our entire meal, there were only two or three other tables occupied, so it's hard to understand why the service was so slow and disorganized. To make matters worse, an 18% service charge was automatically added to the bill. I don't mind paying a service charge for good service, but charging that much when the service is this slow and disappointing feels completely unjustified. Our bill was over $210 for three people, and that didn't even include any drinks. At that price, there are many better Japanese BBQ options available. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back, and I can't recommend this place.
