Large grass milk tea (second most popular drink) with less ice and 80% sugar
    Cecilia M.

My sister randomly texted me asking for a favour to pick her up some bbtea from Chatime with an offer to pay for mine too. I drove over to the Langara location, closest by home, and it was hard to find parking anywhere. Walked in and there was an enormous crowd of high schoolers packed in there. It took about 10 minutes to stand in line to order. I like that you can personalize your drink at Chatime and ordered a large Taro milk tea with pearls for my sister and a large grass jelly milk tea 80% sweet with less ice for me. I didn't get a receipt or order number so had to keep an eye for my drink order. The pros with this location is that it is one of the larger Chatime locations and has a bit of seating available, or it does when not invaded by High School or Langara students. There is free Wi-Fi available and once you wait to put in your drink order it is only a maximum 5 wait time until you get your bbtea. My grass jelly milk tea was still quite flavourful even with 80% sweet. The not so great about this location is the parking situation. You would either need to live or study/work close by to walk over to make use of this location. The Langara 49th SkyTrain station is close by but this Chatime location would be easy to miss for the commuters as it's a little tucked away. Blink and you will miss it walking or driving through. Today's service was also not as good due to a busy volume with only 2 staff employees working. They did their best but orders were slow, no receipts given, and no "thank you's". I'd come again but easily forget about this Chatime due to location and lack of parking.

this review is based on a delivery of 2 bubbletea drinks at Chatime using a well known mobile delivery app. I've been to this chatime many times in the past and their service were usually friendly and the wait times were reasonable. I like that you can customize the amount of sugar and ice, the type of milk, and toppings when you order. On this visit, i ordered brown sugar bubble tea with less ice, extra brown sugar, a sort of sea salt cream they call crema, passion fruit jelly, and pearls/small chewy balls made of tapioca. My friend ordered the same drink. The drink was absolutely delicious. The mixture of VERY SALTY sea salt cream and the VERY sweet brown sugar gave very strong salty and sweet flavors in one drink. I love the taste of brown sugar in foods so it did not disappoint my brown sugar craving. The drink was not watery since i requested less ice but it was still quite cold. When i was done with the drink i was pretty full, and was pretty satisfied. (i ate a bit before that.) The passionfruit jelly was at the bottom of the drink and it was pretty refreshing because it gave a sort of fruity sweet jello flavor compared to the sugary sweet brown sugar flavor. The tapioca pearls gives an interesting chewy and sweet texture to the drink. If you order this drink, make sure to mix up the drink a little because the crema was all stuck at the top, the brown sugar at the middle, and the passionfruit jelly was at the bottom. If you eat the salty cream portion by itself it will taste wayyy too salty, and the brown sugar portion of the drink itself will taste wayyy too sweet. The prices of some of Chatime's drinks looked like they were marked up on the mobile delivery app because some of the drinks on the menu were as high as $8-9 each which is disappointing to see but not surprising since it's fairly common as far as i know. TL;DR: Overall, I know some bubbletea places in Vancouver that are priced better and tastes better for what you pay for so i'll give it a 4/5. But the brown sugar bubble tea plus the jelly and tapioca toppings mentioned above are a solid choice if you like very sweet and salty drinks.

Didn't know this Chatime existed until my friends suggested. Parking here honestly kinda sucks. The place is located at the end of a very long block, so try to find a spot on Cambie before actually arriving there. Outside of rush hour, of course. The interior is very modern. Makes sense, since the building is pretty much brand new. The place actually takes up 2 "levels", separated by a few steps. There is a ramp though. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bubble tea is consistent with the other locations. In other words, mediocre.

Brown Sugar Pearl Roasted Milk Tea (customized half brown sugar, less ice)

A huge fan of CHATIME Bubble tea! Any fans out there, leave a comment and let's spread the WORD! And maybe we can be chatime buddy drinkers! LOL If you are looking for a brown sugar bubble tea with less sugar, then the drink for you will to customize with half brown sugar. Nice sweet taste, a rewarding drink for doing a task(s).

Roasted milk tea with 80% sweet was just the right amount. Good flavor.

Tried the roasted milk tea at 80% sweet which was good but would try something else next time. The pearls are delicious and a good chewy consistency. Also lots of seating inside the shop and wifi available. Also a very large selection of drinks and types.

Love the chatime here!!! This location is the BEST chatime compared to other locations (my friend said all the same, but well i'm kinda picky). Friendly staff too!! The sad thing, this location is far away from my house -- can't blame them tho. I usually study here when I have midterms/finals while enjoy my drinks. Last week, I ordered their special summer drink, the strawberry smoothie cheesecake (tips: if you order half sweet for your usual drinks, ask for 0% of sugar for this one). it was really refreshing especially for this hot weather :) Comment for other drinks: Pearls are perfect! the jelly as well. Not watery at all, since they always put tea instead of water to fill up your cup when there's still empty part in your cup (some places do fill with water!)

I've always love Chatime! Such a great range of selection. We bought out favourite, i.e. taro and Pearl milk tea. We always wanted to try their brown sugar milk tea so we bought one. It was great - not too sweet. The pearls in this one were quite sweet - I don't know if they were coated with the sugar syrup or were made sweet. It's brilliant to have your drink with customized percentage of sugar and ice - best thing ever! Service was fast although the place was quite busy. Great busy and a very vibrant place. People sitting down studying, chatting or fiddling around with their phones/laptops.The only negative experience was trying to find parking, which truly sucks! There are a couple of choices - either look for something on Cambie about 500 metres before arriving to the place; or park at Safeway/Oakridge Mall or just by Langara College (2 hrs free).

[Chatime Oakridge] Chatime is becoming the Starbucks of the bubble tea world. No matter which location you're at, you know what to expect. This continues to remain true with their latest location near Oakridge. The menu is identical to all other locations which is great if you're looking for familiarity. This particular shop can accomodate 20 people or so with loads of free street parking outside of rush hour. They're still working out the kinks associated with a new shop but it seems that it'll be solid addition to the Chatime family.

New bubble tea joint in Oakridge! I came here during the grand opening where they had a bogofree pearl milk tea. The place was busy. Time from lineup to getting my drinks was almost an hour. This place has a nice seating area for hanging out with friends. I noticed that it has plugs below the windows so I'm guessing chatime designed it so that people can work on their laptops. The music is quite loud so it is a bit hard to hear conversations. I ordered Thai milk tea with grass jelly half sugar and no ice. The drink was good but nothing special imo. Grass jelly floats to the top and the actual tea was a bit on the watery side... I didn't taste much of the tea flavour. The pearl milk tea tasted better. I think it's because the tea was steeped longer. Overall, great place! Parking seems limited to street parking. Prices are fair. Free wifi!

I always tell my friends to try their original/classic bubble tea. Like their green mango tea and mango smoothie. Also roasted black tea.

Pretty good bubble tea. Basically the same taste as all the other Chatimes. It can get slow when there's a lot of customers.

Selections are decent. however the menu is very confusing as they have a posted menu online, a digital menu via QR code and some posted menus. Unfortunately the menus were not in sync. My friend saw a couple of things she wanted to try from the online menu and was told they do not have those items. There are combo on the spot which are not their online menu and the digital menu. We ordered the chicken panini, a small mango bingsu and an order of tue mochi bubble waffle and taro milk tea. The food is very good. there is decent amount of ingredients in the chicken panini (which i forgot to take a picture of). The mochi bubble waffle was decent and i liked the taro milk tea as well. The bingsu was very well made but the price is a bit on the high end given the size. Overall service was good too

A fun hole in the wall dessert spot x flower shop!…read more Essentially there's a dessert counter in a shared space with a flower shop operated by the one owner - super adorbable concept, the boss was so nice to introduce his menu to us as well! Located on the same block as quite a few other popular HK dessert spots, I more inclined to go to Rose Cafe because it's quieter and a more comfortable environment to relax and sit around in. The boss mentioned they can make anything for us (!) including ginger milk, the sago desserts and that they event have the pistachio paste (yum!). For a quick dessert run - I opted for the small mango shaved iced, it's served with nice and ripe mango chunks, and a fresh mango shaved ice base. For just about $10 it's worth the dessert stop! They had a nice menu of several classic HK items - from deep fried chicken wings, to bubble waffles to pearl based drinks that only HK locals would order. Worth a try if and when you're in the Nanaimo / Kingsway area! Also (!) - very reasonably priced flowers and potted plants!!!

I personally tried the cheese foam black tea with mochi and golden pearls which costed close to 10CAD. The cheese foam was slightly salty and pretty creamy, and the taste is much more pronounced when you dip the plain mochi into the drink. The mochi itself was slightly soft though a bit uneven in texture as some parts are chewy and some parts are already a little bit dry. I do like they nicely wrapped the mochi in a plastic bag to preserve the moisture, though I ended up trying it out immediately to get the maximum freshness. The tea itself is flavorful and not too sweet, which is what I intended because I opted for light sugar (30%). The golden pearls were pretty chewy and are the right preferred texture. While I liked the general quality of the drinks, like other reviews mentioned, the price of the drinks are a bit on the higher end but the quality did not really scale up compared to a good boba spot.
