This is an old school no-frills bubble tea shop. The prices are a major throwback - I think all the drinks are less than $5 and one topping is included. They also have ice cream, bubble waffles, and light meals/snacks like fish balls with rice. They always have weekly special drinks with interesting combinations of flavours. I stopped in and grabbed one of this week's specials, lychee rose cheesecake. I liked the flavour and it did taste like cheesecake, but was really sweet, more than I would have preferred. A casual stumble to Hot Cha Cafe post dinner in the neighborhood... this one's all for nostalgia. The range of classic drinks - fresh fruit, ice cream, powder based - you name it. I like this place. The bubble tea are reasonably priced. They have fresh fruits drinks. Bubbles, Coconut Jelly and Rainbow Jelly are free. Only down fall is that they accept Cash and Debit only. I got the daily special Pinapple Peach drink with Coconut Jelly. It was good. The large was only $3.50. It was actually too large for me. This place has free wifi and so this is a plus. It's located just between 16th ave and 17th ave on Cambie. It would be better if it's closer to Broadway for me. But that is a personal preference. This is a family ran business. My friend introduced me to this place last week and I'm obsessed! The menu selection and prices actually remind me alot of Milk & Sugar Cafe, they even have the weekly specials board too! The prices here are unreal. This is how much I paid for bubble tea 15 years ago in highschool! There is a great selection of flavours and lots of space for sitting inside. The pearl quality is not as good as some of the Taiwanese bbt places. They are a bit more on the chewy side and similar to T&T. I like that they have seasonal as well as weekly specials I got a large (mango) fruit bubbletea and the coconut jelly was free because it was part of the weekly promotions. One time they had this special "coconut coffee cheescake" (it's a drink, not food), that I keep craving for. The coconut and coffee flavors arent overwhelming and compliment each other. To be honest it just tasted like an average milk shake with average to slightly below average pearls. I think the pearls had a funny after taste to them.
