Decent bubble tea place along Kingsway near Joyce. Parking is available on Kingsway, as well as the side streets. The insdie is pretty bare bones and dumpy. The space has a serious humidity problem. The glass was completely fogged up and soaked. Thank goodness they had a dehumidifier in the seating area. The thing wasn't working when my buddy and I first showed up though - the water bucket was full. Once we got the staff to dump it out and reset the machine, the seating area become much more comfortable. Staff were friendly and cheerful. No complains. The only issue I have here is that their fresh fruit selection is rather limited. Most of their drinks are either powder or syrup. However, they did have a strawberry yogurt drink that used real fruit. Not too sweet, which is just how I like it. Pretty tasty. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point, though there is also a location inside nearby Metropolis, downstairs near the food court. read more

Haven't been to a CoCo in years for BBT. The inside is barren with only a few tables. Drinks come out quick (under 5 minutes). There was a constant flow of people coming in to order. Went with a grape dream (normally $7.50, August special was 20% off) and dragon fruit coconut splash ($6.90). For the grape dream, you can't change the sweetness (100%) or add extra toppings. It reminded me of grape soda with jellies. Didn't love or hate it. Dragon fruit was plain, tasted more of the coconut. read more

My go to bubble tea place at the moment. There are at least 5 bubble tea places I pass by before reaching this branch of Coco on Kingsway but it's worth the drive. I love 3 Guys and Grapefruit Green Tea with Pulp and on my cheat day I get the Black Tea Macchiato with cream cheese, pudding and pearls. This black tea macchiato is to die for! It's that good! The black tea combined with fresh milk for that silky feel on your tongue, the chewy pearls, the sweet pudding and the cream cheese for that touch of savory taste are explosion in your mouth. I'm salivating while I think about it! Oh Coco you captured my heart! The service in this branch was friendly and fast. The prices are reasonable. I just find that the music is on the loud side. The inside was clean but not as clean as another Coco branch. I would still come to this branch though as it is closest to home. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. read more

You're just too good to be true! Can't take my eyes off of you! I usually get hooked on one of their drinks and only order that for the rest of the year. Last year it was their brown sugar milk *drool*. My new thing this year is their strawberry slush w pearl. Their slush consistency: perfection. The superfine ice particles are enveloped in a milky yet quite real tasting strawberry base. This slush holds it shape, and melts upon hitting the tongue. Sometimes the slush does that thing where it leaves a large block of flavorless ice at the bottom. Today I let mine sit for around 10 min to mitigate that effect (it didn't taste watered down either!) Their pearls are bouncy and have that caramelly flavor. They're not too sweet either. I've been eyeing their taro drink with the mini taro balls on top. That might be my next drink obsession.... read more

Came here after a spicy hot pot dinner for some sweet but not caffeinated drinks. The store was pretty packed around 10pm. There was a line inside the store and half of the seats are taken. We were looking for things to drink, but the menu on the screen was super hard to read. We ended up getting sago taro drink regular ice and 30% sugar. The sago was pretty chewy and there were plenty. The drink was about right sweetness for our taste however it wasn't really strong taro flavor. read more

Love that you can choose from a good selection of recommended drinks with cool flavors and textures. The have seasonal flavors as well. We had the 3 Guys, Bubble Gaga, and Red Bean Matcha. All were delicious and the pearls were just the right texture. The Red Bean Matcha was too sweet for me, so I'll have to ask for less sweet next time. Wow since my last review I can't believe I only gave Coco 2 stars. Their drink quality and variety have really improved in the past few years. The bubble tea market has so much more competition nowadays but Coco has remained solid with great roasted milk tea drinks and fruit smoothies. Nowadays the cup sizes seems to be more of the norm at large franchise brand BBT places so it's become less of an issue. Customizing ice and sweetness also helps with any previous issues I had where my drink was not perfect. read more

I ordered Matcha Milk Tea for regular size for $4.10 with 50% sugar and less ice it was so delish. Price range and custom order is similar to Chatime, but it's still good. I think Coco will be next alternative to Chatime since Coco is within my walking distance from home. I'm actually a devoted fan to Milk and Sugar (love their daily specials) and Coco is a perfect place for a milk tea. I'd rather give 5 stars but 4 stars due to pricing. It's my first time and I truly like the fresh taro milk tea. You can truly nibble on taro tidbits rather than the powder version. Found CoCo on Yelp while looking for a snack after lunch. We walked about 8 blocks to get here on a sunny weekday afternoon. Impression upon walking into CoCo was solid. Good, clean design. Plenty of seating. Legible print for the menu. Drinks selection is pretty good. Oh, what's this... prices are on the high side. Highest I've seen in Greater Vancouver actually (for non-seated). Okay, expectations are now higher. Gotta order the basic milk tea to gauge quality. I get the 2 ladies, an apparent best seller. It's milk tea with pearls and pudding. Mine is a large size, half sweet, no ice. Order arrives quickly (good, we were 2nd in line) and looks appetizing. Good! Get the straw and try to puncture the drink. Liquid goes everywhere (happens for friend too). Bad! Clean up a little, get the straw in, take a sip. Not bad, not great. Get some of the pearls and pudding. Mmmm good pearls (but the best though), but very meh pudding. Milk tea is good, but doesn't stand out. Gotta go to the washroom. Details omitted :P all I can say is that this washroom looks okay at a glance, on the surface, and from afar... but if you pay any attention at all to detail, it is simply disgusting. Dust and residue everywhere. It smells. Fixtures are broken. Poor lighting. Yeeesh... So far, CoCo is not doing too well in the scorecards. That's chance #1. I made my way here right after my sister told me about a new bubble tea place in the area. The place was super busy as I made my way to the counter to place an order of 2 ladies (milk tea, pearls and pudding) and mango slush. At just under $10 for two drinks, the pricing is decent. The quality of the drinks are slightly better than Milk & Sugar Cafe nearby. Less icy than the competitor. However, you are also paying more for the quality. There is also a loyalty program in place for those interested. The milk tea was very good. The tapioca pearls had a nice chewy texture. The pudding was somewhat lacking. I did not get much pudding in mines. It was on sale in that the large size was the same price as the medium size. The mango slush was that of the canned variety. If I went to Blossom Teas or Bubble Queen for the fresh mango slush, it would have costed more. Overall, solid bubble tea option for the price point they are charging. Seating is limited. The street parking can be difficult depending on time of day. Cash and debit card only. It is nice that they actually accept debit. read more

Having tried the new bubble tea back home since there were so many coco's opening up I got a first taste on how this chain is compared to other bubble tea places. This was the first time trying it out here in Van. I tried the signature 3 ladies which came with tapioca and pudding. After taking a couple of sips ( more like numerous gulps), I was a bit disappointed in the taste.. It just tasted very original like their coco milk tea.. Not very special imo. The tapioca was nicely brewed. Soft and chewy and not overcooked. +1 for Tapicoa! Pudding was pretty tasty as well. The drink was a bit boring.. Nothing to get really excited about nor there was not distinct taste from any other drinks.. I would have to give this place another try to give it a more fair review.. I didn't know about this place until we were driving by Kingsway and we saw a super long line up outside. In our heads, we were thinking, how did this place popup suddenly and become so popular. I looked at the menu and it looks like any other bubble tea place. I actually didn't know what to get but I did notice all their drinks came with pearl. Even the pictures of their drink on the wall have pearls or bubble in them. I have to tell you, I personally hate pearls or bubble. I find those chewy things pretty disgusting. So I did notice all their drinks has pearls and taking it out won't make the drink 50 cents cheap. Yes adding pearls or any other chewy stuff cost an extra 50 cents. So I saw bubble Ga Ga drink and in small prints it says it passion fruit tea with coconut jelly and tropica. In my mind tropica are tiny white balls. So I ordered that. When I got it, I saw the pearls. In my head I was like... Grrrr.... I didn't want to argue. So tropica are pearls according to CoCo dictionary. So I just drank it the way it was. The pearls are different compared to other places. Its not nasty at all. The drinks are not bad. Yes you can let them know how much sugar you want. I got 30% sugar. Also this place give Belly Points. There are so many bubble tea places in this city! Which means... there are so many places that you go to once and simply forget about them. Coco is NOT one of those places. I've been back time and time again for their creations. I don't know what kind of genius mind it takes to create a business structure like this, but they deserve some kind of award. Selection isn't the widest compared to.. lets say Milk and Sugar down the street, but they do everything well. I give them extra points for having their order screen facing you and always asking if you want more or less Sugar and more or less Ice. Their milk tea is the best! I am not a huge fan of milk tea until recently. I would usually go to Chatime and get their Roasted Grass Jelly Milk Tea and I thought that was amazing, until I tried Coco's 3 guys. Their 3 guys milk tea has pudding, grass jelly and pearls. The pearls are perfect in their chewiness and freshness. They recently changed their cups to be more skinny and taller. Initially, they only changed the large size to be skinny so their smaller cup was wider and shorter. I am not sure why they did this. I thought they did this to reduce the liquid amount to save money. My bf and I had bought one large and medium and since I had time, I brought it home to measure the liquid amount. The medium is 16oz while the large is 20oz.. with a 50 cent difference, you might as well opt for the large, unless you really can't finish it. They need more locations elsewhere in the lower mainland! The only other location is downtown. They are part of the belly program so be sure to scan your card when you get a drink. Yet another chain for all your bubble tea cravings! This chain comes from Taiwan and I have to say it's one of the better chains around. Even though there are long lines they work pretty quick so you don't ever wait too long. The quality of their drinks is quite high. Their pearls are nice and chewy and not overly sweet. I like how they let you choose the levels of sugar (0-30-70-100) and ice (none - less - normal) so it's done to everyone's liking! I've had their fruit teas and milk teas and both were done very well! This location has some seats (5 two-seater tables) and some bar seats. It gets really hot in here though on the hot summer nights. Great for grab and go. Gets loud on the weekends. read more

Yes, the line up was long but I was glad to see that most of the people were getting the special so I knew that ordering would be much faster than usual as they just need to make mostly one item.
