    Chatime Roasted Milk Tea

Wide variety of drinks and worth it! Fast and Friendly service Location is great and good ambiance! Love this place!

Staff was friendly, service was quick, we had coffee with Thai tea, it's not bad. Also ordered the Chinese pork and sausage pao which cost $4:15, pretty high for 1 pao but willing to try. For the price, I expected better quality than cheap fat pork that made up 75% of the filling and made it taste horrible. Sorry will not recommend.

Such a gem in this part of town! While a part of the larger chain, this location is doing it all-- the right way! Their teas are extremely fresh and satisfying. They have an incredible number of drink choices and toppings-- the combinations are endless! However, this can prove daunting for someone as indecisive as I am... LOL. I love their Jasmine Green Milk Tea and their Taro Milk Tea, but you can't go wrong with any of the non-milk fruit teas-- warm or hot! Check them out and meet their super sweet owner too!

I loved the Boba even though I feel like they omitted the tiramisu foam I paid for. I ordered online because I had read reviews about the line going out the door and around the corner but I don't think ordering online really helped because there was no online pickup area and I still had to wait in line to pick up my food that was just sitting there. I also got a couple steamed buns and sticky rice...they were ahmazing!!!! Now writing about them makes me want to go get some more today. They were perfectly soft with traditional filling. I really appreciated that, it brought me back to my favorite shop in providence that made them fresh daily. I got triple Boba in my drink, which in hindsight was definitely just too much while delicious. They came in every sip! Overall, I can't wait til I can make it back for another one.

My milk tea here is always good and tastes amazing. I love the tiger latte as well as the teas with butterfly pea in it. Staff is always nice and I appreciate the distancing stickers on the floor. It can be a little hard to get in when people aren't paying attention and just congregating inside, but otherwise, no complaints.

I've tried their Taro Milk Tea, Coffee Slush, Jasmine Green Milk Tea and Chatime Milk Tea all with pearls on different occasions and the rating was solely based on the taste/price in comparison with other bubble tea stores. The one nice thing about it though is they offer food like baos/siopaos. Their location at this mall was great and there are ample parking slots even on busy Friday summer nights. A few outdoor dining tables with a nearby cute butterfly chair where you can get a nice selfie with your bubble tea. LOL. The area where they are is family-and-dog friendly.

I came to this cute bubble tea shop a few weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a large pearl milk tea with no sugar which is basically black tea with milk and boba aka pearls. The tea was amazing, it was perfect, not overly strong or weak, the milk and tea were balanced, and the boba was not hard or over cooked. I only ordered one drink, I wish I would've ordered two, smh. The customer service was cool, the parking can be a little crazy, but that won't stop me from coming back. Oh and btw their menu is huge so go to their website before visiting or be prepared to stare at the menu for a while when you get there! Lol.

Tiramisu milk tea + Peach QQ
    Ashley H.

Having grown up around here and remember The Avenue in my childhood, it was a godsend to visit home and discover we now had boba on this side of town. Not only that but TWO boba options (there's a Kung Fu Tea by the mall). Naturally, I had to investigate. The first time I came on a Friday night and the line for ChaTime was literally outside the door and wrapped around the side of the block. We ended up leaving because we didn't want to wait in the line, but stopped by recently on a Sunday afternoon. Line was still out the door, but it was more manageable, so we stood in it. My sister got a tiramisu milk tea--she doesn't even like boba, but she had this tiramisu milk tea one time here and has sworn upon this drink ever since. A large for that with regular tapioca pearls was like $6, which isn't terrible price-wise. I got the Peach QQ, which came with tapioca pearls and coconut jelly already in the drink with no extra charge. All QQ drinks automatically come with pearls and coconut jelly. The Peach QQ was a bit sweet, but I definitely would've preferred it to a milk tea. My drink (size large) was only $5. Service was quick despite the business, and all the staff members were masked. Would probably recommend ordering in advance online and just picking it up if you think it's going to be a busy time because that line can get really long.

    Zoya F.

Very nice bubble tea with some unusual flavors. The QQ series has half boba, half coconut jelly. That's sweet enough that I wish I had gone with a 30% sugar drink instead of a 50% sugar drink. Live and learn! I also tried Chatime's plain cold oolong tea, which has a super flavor. I've tried butterfly pea tea when Kung Fu offered it, so I'm interested in coming back to see what Chatime's version tastes like. The reason I give four stars instead of five is that the service doesn't compare to the attentive service at TeaDM (in Arlington, VA) or Lily Bubble Tea (in Crystal City). But this is still the best bubble tea shop I've tried outside Virginia. I'll try it again next time I'm passing through.

    Cynthia P.

Chatime had a great selection of drinks. You're bound to find something for your palate taste. It is definitely on my list on best boba spots in the dmv.

These hard working girls were so patient with me while I made my decision which was really hard since everything is really good!! Refreshing, fast and never ever boring!! The ladies here are so nice and helpful, try it out!

Service, 5/5: Every time I go to ChaTime the service is always great! The cashier is always sweet and the service is pretty quick! Aesthetic/Atmosphere, 4.5/5: Cute cafe atmosphere! I love the map of where the other store locations are and the customer polaroids are so cute! Just not a lot of indoor seating, but quite a few seats outside. Food/Drink, 5/5: I love the different flavors that are available. I'll honestly say my favorite is The Butterfly Pea with Passion Fruit! It's aesthetically pretty and tastes great! There's so many options that you'll never run out of new things to try! Pricing, 5/5: You get good quality drinks for the price that it costs! Overall Experience, 5/5: One of my favorite bubble tea places in Maryland! It's convenient from Towson and definitely worth the drive!

    Naomi P.

Update : I got the pork bun and saw them microwave it so it was frozen and the bun came out looking ugly but tasted okay . The bubble tea was fine and service was good ! I've been here twice now . The first time I went I got the peach green tea with pearl and the second time I for the lychee green tea with pearl. My friend got the matcha tea latte with pearl her first time going and the sunset green tea latte with pearl the second time. I liked both of the drink! My friends sunset green tea latte was not made well and it was just milk and pearl with a little blue color at the top. Didn't look like a sunset and it didn't taste like green tea at all. Service is okay , I wanted the point card thing and when I asked for it the cashier said they ran out but she could have stamped my receipt of something so I can start accumulating points s

On my breaks I love to run over and get a lemon smoothie and add vanilla protein. I pay about $4, which is a better price than the $6 I would pay for a smaller protein shake at Bally's. I only give them three stars because I have tried to get this lemon smoothie with vanilla protein two times before the employees would actually let me have it. Yes, I said "let me". The first time, the man working the counter told me that the lemon does not mix well with the vanilla and suggested I try something else. I gave in and let him talk me into a strawberry smoothie. I went again a couple weeks later and the woman behind the counter also told me that vanilla and lemon would not be a good combination. The next time I went and again asked for a lemon smoothie with vanilla protein, that same man that was there the first time told me again that it would not taste good and tried to persuade me to try something else. I told him that I would really like to have vanilla with lemon and I will pay for it even if I didn't like it. He gave in and made me the shake I had been craving for so long! I made him try it. We both loved it. SUCCESS! (If you are wondering, it tastes like key lime. So if you like key lime, I suggest this combination. You have to insist that this is really what you want.) The iced coffee was amazing, the beef pho had a rich flavorful broth, and the hu tieu was excellent too. The customer service was actually great -- the owners are older Vietnamese people and you can tell it's a small family-run restaurant. They're not rude at all, just older and probably handling a lot themselves. I think some people mistake that for bad service when it's really just a more traditional environment. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food made with care, this spot is definitely worth trying.

Some Context: As someone who's of Vietnamese descent and…read morelives in Southern California (home to the most Vietnamese outside of Vietnam), I have had some of the best pho in North America. I knew going in that having pho anywhere else would probably be disappointing, but I always hope for a pleasant surprise. The Food: I can only comment on what I ordered: pho dac biet (special combo pho with rare steak slices, well-done brisket, flank tendon, and and tripe). Taste wise it was ... alright. The noodles were standard, the meats were good, and the tendon was delicious. The problem was that the broth was kinda bland, lacking the delicate mix of herbs and seasonings that a good bowl of pho should have. And anyone who enjoys noodle soups knows that if the broth doesn't cut it, the whole meal suffers. Don't get me wrong, the other pho ingredients were quality, but the bland broth was a let down. The Cost: The bigger letdown were the prices, which had me saying, "What the pho?!" My combo bowl was $27. That would be an outrageous price for pho in Southern California (where prices have skyrocketed), so you could imagine my "sticker shock." And the costs for the other entrees ranged from $14 to $20. While the portions were large, I'm not sure the quality justified the price. The Drink: I had a caphe sua da (or Vietnamese iced coffee) and was, again, not impressed. It tasted like it came from either a concentrate or instant coffee instead of being made in a phin, a type of slow-drip metal filter, before the condensed milk was added. Again, not a bad coffee, but the price didn't justify the average taste. The Service: The two employees were fast and friendly. They didn't check on us at all after delivering the food (standard operating procedure for most Asian restaurants), but the fact that they were polite and seemed like they cared is a big plus for a Vietnamese establishment. The Atmosphere: The restaurant was clean, spacious, and modern. Meanwhile, the bathroom was shockingly decent and well stocked. Again, two aspects that were a pleasant surprise for a Vietnamese restaurant. The Conclusion: If you're new to pho and want to be impressed, don't go here. If you're familiar with pho, need a quick fix, and don't mind paying a premium, this place will do.
