    The Otoman Signature Platter
    Anthony W.

The owner is very welcoming and offers a delicious sample of hot tea. I ordered the Otoman Special over rice. The lamb and chicken over rice with white sauce is solid, and my wife enjoyed the recommended fish sandwich. A gentleman came in as we were leaving and ordered three fish sandwiches, so they seem to be popular.

I've been wanting to try this spot out, however social media hyped it before I could really get a feel of the place. This carryout has gone viral on tick tock for the fish sandwiches. I wanted to try the platters but opted to get the fish sandwich instead. And I must say they need to go to the drawing board now that they have gone viral because taking orders than you can put out is a big NO. However, I have to give them grease because I know they wasn't prepared to go viral so that's why I would like to give this place another chance . Yes it was crowded. Yes there was a wait. Even under the pressure and magnitude of orders, the staff was still friendly and professional. However, my sandwich looked appetizing but it tasted rush and tasteless. I even let my sandwich sit to let everything mesh together. But with each bite I felt like I taste every ingredient separate. To me not worth the hype but I definitely will be back once things dies down to try other menu items.

The owners were super friendly and honestly I really enjoyed my food this place isn't that close to me I can't go often but I think they definitely are worth checking out

Chicken was pretty dry, but not bad

Dry chicken, but not bad at all. Came pretty fast. Didn't go inside to check the ambiance, but the service was good. Good sauces and good seasonings.

This is the best halal place I've tried with my husband. My husband said they got the best burger he has ever tried it's double patty, the food is always fresh and hot, steamy. The owner is very nice and welcoming. The service is 10/10. Their chicken is always so flavorful. The portions are amazing. And they also have a variety food options you get. Hands down the best halal place.

Waited a while for a falafel pita for it to come out cold. The falafel was bland and dry. The garlic sauce was good.

On the strength of reviews, I decided to try it out... which was definitely a good move. Nestled in a shopping strip along Bel Air Road, it's conveniently located and offers an abundance of free parking. Upon entry, I was warmly greeted with a smile. The space is clean, airy, and nicely decorated. After looking over the menu, I decided on the Chicken Tikka Kabob entrée (mild, not spicy) which is served with rice, salad, and naan. After approximately 25 minutes, my order was ready for consumption. The chicken was tender and flavorful with the right amount of spice, paired nicely with the rice and salad. My only gripe is that the naan was a little too charred for my liking. Either way, I'll definitely be back. Tikkaville is a solid option for lunch or dinner. Definitely swing by if you're ever in the area!

We tried 3 different items and each dish was unique and possessed different profiles. GET HERE IMMEDIATELY!!! We ordered the following: Tikka reloaded fries: 10/10 best loaded fries ever. Fries seasoned and crisped. Meat tender and flavorful. The sauces and cheese elevate the dish. Malai kabob roll: 10/10 whatever cream sauce is on the chicken, I would drink by itself. Wrap and fixings had its own flavors. I wish we ordered 2 so we wouldn't have to share. Lamb quesadillas: 10/10 although simple, lamb was tender and juicy. White sauce wasn't even needed but still complimented the quesadilla. Even thought they seem low manned, there was no disruption to customer service or food delivery. We are thoroughly impressed and will be returning. Almost afraid to go back again due to not wanting the experience to change. GET HERE.

I looked at the menu before I arrived and called in my order. I settled on the boneless chicken tandoori meal. I also requested the green chatni (chutney?) sauce. It came with stewed curry chickpeas, salad, basmati rice & naan. I got the garlic naan and I believe it's an up charge for the garlic version. They give you two big pieces, which could be saved for a quick sandwich the next day. I was less than ten minutes away from the restaurant, so there was a bit of a wait for my meal to be prepared. After about ten minutes, everything was ready. When I got home, I was so excited when I pulled the container from the bag. The aromas of garlic, spices and flavors filled my home. I poured the chatni sauce over my chicken, rice and salad. It was all so amazingly delicious. The chicken was ridiculously tender and flavorful. The salad was simple and fresh. And the stewed curry chickpeas were surprisingly very tasty! I normally do not like consistency of raw/uncooked chickpeas, but in this meal, they were so very good! With tip, the meal came to about $28. A bit on the pricier side, but not a huge shock with the current state of the economy. The servers and host were accommodating and very kind. I would absolutely go back!

The chicken was cooked perfectly and delicious. Naan was slightly chewy but it was great for scooping up with chickpea curry. I also had the Chicken Seekh Kabob and it was well seasoned and tender inside. Lastly, the mint chutney it was okay, didn't really like it the yoghurt in the chutney was too tangy for my taste. Service - I ordered the food in store and the food was ready in almost 15-20 mins. The restaurant was clean and had good sitting area, but I would prefer takeout. Overall I would rate 9/10 for this food!

But it's true that this place is 4/5 or possibly worse for sitting down, so they kinda deserve it for that. Got takeout from here today and have dined in thrice before--excellent, never had anything slightly bad here. (Those who complain of bland rice must have never had the displeasure of eating over-salted polo--here, it does range from slightly under salted to perfect, but is never too salty.) When I've sat down, the service was good and servers were very polite (and kind about my attempts to speak Persian), but man I cannot get over the weird ambiance--it seems like others can't either; takeout orders predominated by at least 5:1 every time. Walking in you're nervous the place will be dirty with bad food, but it's actually neither, just dim, dated and not well maintained--please at least trash the dead roses so I also prefer the takeout experience. In descending order of absolute best to just good things I've had here: Gheymeh (!!), lamb shank (!!), kashk-e bademjoon (theirs is my favorite!), all kabobs, ghormeh sabzi (not the best I've ever had but pretty good), fesenjoon, salmon (wasn't very Persian, but good) Mast-based appetizers are a bit eh to me but they're the same here as everywhere else. I always get ice cream, it's a really nice treat. I love Persian food and I love introducing people to Persian food, so I wish this was a nicer sit down place to bring people to. I would be up here all the time if it were--there's other middle eastern restaurants northwest of and in Baltimore that I LOVE taking people to because they're both beautiful inside and delicious. But I do so love the food here.
