Been here quite a few times now and pleasantly surprised. I get the large pearl milk tea and my partner gets something new each time! So far have liked all the drinks we have tried and while we haven't tried any of the foods its a great place to stop in. The only con is I don't use cash and it has a $5 minimum to use my card and if I just get my regular large I have to add extra pearls or something. Not that big of a deal but something to note if you don't normally carry cash like I do. read more

SO HAPPY I don't have to go to Montgomery County for some authentic bubble tea!! I got tired of the fake "bubble tea" stands in malls (the one in White Marsh uses weird flavor powders and the one in Towson uses Walmart-brand, generic jugs of iced tea -- GROSS). I love passion fruit black tea with bubbles and jelly, but this place has so many options and I can't wait to try other flavors. The service is great, too. After taking a sip, the person who made it for me asked how it was and offered to adjust the sweetness if it wasn't to my liking. Of course it was already perfect the first time. The staff were incredibly friendly and looking for feedback. I ordered a Matcha Red Bean Milk Tea without the red bean and added boba (pearls). The boba was a great consistency, not hard (the ice did make some harder over time, of course), and the Matcha taste was all there. I am ecstatic there is finally a bubble tea place (besides the mall) in Baltimore! ChaTime has so many different options that you'll never get bored with their selection. I have tried the mango smoothie with bubbles and the green tea and both were very delicious! The employees are super friendly and welcome any types of questions you may have. The best part of my smoothie were the large straw size tapioca pearls at the end of every sip! It was unexpected fun and delicious with my strawberry low sugar smoothie. The smoothie selection was limited and this is really a tea place. They make Frappuccino's out of tea....kinda like Starbucks but without the coffee. You'll like it but don't expect health food offerings like ginger, protein powder, kale or spinach. It seems like the new substitute for ice cream but you get a say in how much sugar your drink has in it. I'd come back to figure out more of the menu items. read more

I love this store!! I think they put it in the perfect location on the avenue/white marsh mall area. The lady who is the manager I'm assuming, is so nice! She's always there, and is professional with each customer even when it's super packed! They are following covid guidelines so you'll have to wait outside if there's a line. They offer samples sometimes of different pearls or pudding which I think is a big help if you're on the edge of wanting to try something new but unsure about the taste. But whatever, they're offering to customize sugar levels, hot-warm-cold options, perfectly cooked boba (or "pearls"...insert eye roll here), and already big selection deserve 4 stars alone. With the super friendly customer service, stamp card for earning free drinks, and easy location to get to and park by, I bumped my rating up to 5 stars. I tried my first yogurt type boba drink and it was so awesome I want to try the other fruit & yogurt combos. I thought it'd be thick like kefir but it wasn't thick at all. The yogurt part actually reminded me of Yakult. The taro and passion fruit seemed really popular here, as if every other order was for one of these two options. The drinks from ChaTime are amazing. I love to bring my daughter and our favorites are the Strawberry Au Lait, Mango Fruit Tea, and Jasmine Milk Tea. This is our second time in a row with problems with service. The spot is small and with quarantine the shop only allows 6 people in at a time. We've been averaging 15-20 minutes waiting outside before we get in. Once in those 6 people wait another 15-20 minutes because the staff is busy and focused on filling online orders. At least 5 times the staff asked the same set of waiting to order customers if they had online orders - we didn't. Online orderers would come in grab their order and once the staff had cleared at least 1-2 online order, then they would take an in person order. Two people came in for an online order, got it from the staff, yelled out that everyone waiting to order were "dumbasses" and ran out laughing. Staff never said anything to us waiting. 50 minutes for three stellar teas. Not sure we'll be back. read more

This is my favorite place in the avenue and my favorite bubble tea place of all time. The owners are so nice and welcoming and are so helpful when it comes to choosing your drinks. My friends and I go almost every week to the point where they usually recognize us. They're very accommodating and recently added new flavors. My favorites are the chocolate hazelnut tea and the honeydew milk tea. My friends love the strawberry au lait. They make their pearl fresh and you can definitely tell. I love all the drinks at Chatime ! My favorite is Kumquat lemon juice, jasmine roasted milk tea with coffee jello. Also, they are fresh made the boba daily with the special technique to make the boba just right (not too chewy, not too hard, not too crunchy). Recently they add on the menu with the sunset drinks are super delicious . The staffs are very friendly and always make sure the satisfaction for their clients.
