Beautiful airport after the remodel. This facility rivals that of much larger cities. I won't be going to Atlanta anymore for departures.

Small airport but easy to get too and barely any wait in TSA line. Told it can get busy though if multiple flights are scheduled same time

    Beautiful entrance to the airport.

CHA definitely gets the job done. I recently flew in and out of here during a brief weekend visit to Chattanooga, TN and I have to say even though it was small it had more to offer than most regional/metropolitan airports I have ended up in like VAL or AVL. Parking is easy, if needed, thanks to a relatively new parking garage and expanded parking facilities. There is a dedicated drop off and pick up point for rideshare users such as Lyft or Uber. When you enter you will notice the beautiful ceiling as you take a short escalator up to the TSA screening area. There is some major construction going on right now thanks to a $28 million terminal expansion - the largest in more than three decades at this airport according to their website. It will be home to an additional three jet bridges (there are currently 5,) full service restaurant, additional TSA screening area and even more. Post-security options here are a bit sparse at this time - I opted for a bacon and egg sandwich from "Tailwinds" for breakfast that I didn't enjoy at all and that was really the only disappointing part of my visit to CHA. They have a couple of other snack/coffee stands and a Cafe that I didn't get a chance to check out. There isn't much else to do here other than plane watch a little bit and relax while you wait to board a flight , so plan to entertain yourself. I enjoyed the free wifi offered and watched some YouTube until my plane arrived. The short journey from Atlanta to Chattanooga on my Delta flight was around 25 minutes - so it's extremely bearable. In general I have no major complaints about CHA and wouldn't hate to fly into/out of here again!

Chattanooga is such a small airport but they are currently remodeling. They have added a huge parking garage but there are still only 5 gates so you won't get lost. TSA is a breeze and if you have precheck they hand you a blue slip that let's the other agents know you don't have to take off your shoes and can go through the walk through scanner. I've never had a problem with the TSA agents but make sure of you have to check a bag you don't get there at the last moment because you will not be able to catch your flight. The same person who works checking in the bag is your gate agent. If you aren't checking a bag then you don't have to plan on a long wait time. The bathrooms are pretty clean and up to date amd they currently have one place to get food and it's airport prices so you already know it's overpriced. It's a Great airport for convenience if you are staying in the area otherwise fly into Atlanta or Knoxville.

    Tiny airport 6 terminals

This place is super tiny. My airport in Cali, you must get there at least 2 hours. Security in San Jose alone is 45 minutes to an hour and checking bags is 30-45 minutes. When I came here I was shocked that there was only one person in line. The lady who was at the check-in counter was very friendly and I was talking to her about the Navy and she thanked me for my service. We don't get that in Cali. I was shocked that there was only 6 terminals also. Make sure if you have a long flight ahead of you to get food before coming to the airport. There are no restaurants, just a lil snack bar.

Great little airport! I'm so excited that this airport is expanding. It's so convenient with easy parking. Right now it has five gates, a bar and spot to get some food. As it grows it will have a sit down restaurant and additional gates. They have also added a coffee spot for people before you get to TSA. Several rental car agencies are also available.

If an airport can be "cute and convenient", this is it. Easy parking, all the big car rental companies, good proximity to the freeway and Chattanooga (plus within a couple hours of Atlanta, Knoxville, Nashville). Flying to nine destinations by 4 airlines out of 5 gates, it can't get much simpler than Chattanooga Airport. Landing here for the first time a few days ago, I was impressed. Clean, spacious, quick, efficient. Even beautiful. The car rental garage across the street was convenient and everyone I encountered was extremely friendly. Departing out of the airport today was similarly impressive-- easy access, clean, quiet, relaxed, friendly.... But the seemingly short line at security was deceiving and seemed to move at a turtle's pace. Going through a separate line for TSA Pre check, I was handed a blue slip of paper after showing my ID and boarding pass, then sent to the singular security line to the x-ray machines. Those without the blue slips unpack, remove liquids, belts, shoes, laptops, etc... they proceed through the millimeter wave scanner. Those of us with blue slips wait our turn to place bags on the belt and then pass through the walk-through metal detector. Waiting for my bag on the other side, I watched the TSA in action, which appeared to be in slow-motion compared to what I'm used to seeing at almost every other airport. All-in-all, this slow process is isn't a big deal, in fact, it complements the laid back atmosphere of CHA airport. It's also not a complaint. However, it is the one thing that kept me from giving my experience a 5-star review. In the gate areas, the seating is plentiful and comfortable, the atmosphere is more akin to a quiet library than a hub of transportation. It's great. Do I recommend this airport? Yes, absolutely. Will I be back myself? Yes, almost certainly.

DO NOT FLY OUT OF THIS AIRPORT! Never on time, currently on a 4 hour delay that starred with "weather" and then moved to incompetent staff that could not even load us on the right plane. Now there's over 100 passengers all missing their connection flights. Save your money and time by driving to Atlanta

CHA is very small but efficient! They only have one TSA line, and evidently no Pre-Check, however the line moves very quickly. The terminal has 4 or 5 gates, but CHA can accommodate more planes on the tarmac, as my early morning flight to Charlotte boarded outside. I actually love how small this airport is! Arrival was easy, although I didn't check any bags. Bathrooms were clean and more than large enough. The car rental corridor was short & sweet, just off the escalator. Parking also seemed sufficient, and the lots appeared well-marked. I did not have an opportunity to try the available concessions, but I did notice a large counter open, even before 6am, serving breakfast.

Consistently the slowest baggage of any airport in the world. It would be easier to drive to Atlanta.

Does Delta terminal have curbside check in?

No, but very small airport with one terminal, just a short walk inside to check bags at all airlines.

The parking was terrible getting in as I describe it as "malfunction junction". It took one hour to drive one mile. Finally, had to park in the grass area of the airport. Problem. We had to pay $20 for parking yet on the internet it said $10 per car. We also had to pay $20 for admission ticket. Their was no place to sit and had to stand in line for an hour to get bar b q. So,we went out to the truck to rest and watch air show from the comfort of our seats and make use or our tail gate for the first time. Then, just as the Thunderbirds were starting their show, this guy on a "Bad Boys"type vehicle comes up and tells us we can't sit outside in our pickup truck to watch the air show. Yet, hundreds if not thousands were doing it. He fussed at others too but no one did what he said. He wasn't a cop nor did he work for the airport. There's military police, real police and aviation security only a footballs throw away and they didn't say nothing. One of them even came up and talked to us and invited us to ride a helicopter. Most of all, I'm not going back in their and sit on the ground and watch airplanes do stunts. It's my Chevy, my girl friend, and my tail gate. I just spent $120 here and in there, I see no rules at their website nor signs posted. Plus theirs some 40 year old drunks in front of my Silverado playing "toss the football". So, I moved my truck to the fence line where the guy on the "bad boys" type vehicle can't come up and complain to us about sitting in our pickup truck to watch the air show. Anyway, great Thunderbirds show. It was full of all types of entertainment. In summary. air show, helicopter rides, bands playing music, a bar b q festival and to end the day a fireworks show. Wow.

It's a well-oiled machine and, unlike some check in points, I actually look forward to the process here. Ok, quick story. It was an early morning flight in 2025. We drove an hour to the Chattanooga Airport, mostly because we got a great deal and know the routine here. So, I get to the standing scanner and it's easy. I stand with my feet apart and hold my arms over my head in a diamond shape just like on the diagram. I'm confident. The agent tells me to "stick your left leg out." So i do. I hold my foot out in front of me and I'm pretty impressed with my balance at this hour and at my age. (I'm not coordinated or especially athletic.) I keep holding it up. For quite awhile now. I start to wonder what is taking so long. I look over to the agent for clarification. She's doubled over laughing. I am still holding my foot out, like I'm doing the first move in the Hokey Pokey in here at 545am. She tells me that I can put my foot down and just move it over an inch so that it's on top of the little foot outlines on the floor. So, "stick your left leg out" REALLY MEANT to just slide it over an inch. "Have a nice flight, Sir, and thanks for the laugh."

The team is friendly and effective at what they do. They also have some serious equipment working. This was the first full body scanner I had been through.
