    Black out curtains!!!
    Alexia G.

I wish I had taken more pictures because our experience here was so great. But take a look at these black out curtains, amazing considering we were in town for a wedding and we needed the darkness the following morning. From check in to the request for late check out (highly suggest becoming an IHG member) to actually checking out, everything and everyone about this hotel was truly amazing. We were greeted warmly with 2 vouchers for a complimentary glass of wine at the bar. The room was stylish and modern. I appreciated that the AC unit was hidden in a cabinet with openings, I don't see that often. What really did it for me is that the bathroom not only came with the usual hair dryer but also a plug in vanity mirror that I was able to take into the room so I could free up the bathroom for my husband. Bed, pillows and comforter were top notch, no complaints, my husband even wanted to take a pillow home. we didn't!! At check out, Donovan was so accommodating that he made a cup of coffee for my husband because we missed the coffee bar and breakfast. I will 100% stay here again while visiting Chattanooga.

I was in Chattanooga for work and had never stayed in the area before. The staff, from the valets to the front desk personnel and bartender were all very friendly and helpful. They give me tips on where I could find some good places to eat and watch sports, off property. The hotel is very nice and clean. My room was perfect and had a place to set up my computer for work. I enjoyed some of the craft beers and cocktails at the bar on Monday night. The bartender was talkative and friendly. She made very good cocktails. I would definitely recommend staying here to my friends and family. I hope to return soon and visit more of the downtown area.

We got a king suite for one night as we were just passing through. The hotel is modern and conveniently located off the freeway. However, that was the issue for us was how loud the road noise was. We asked the front desk to put us in a room that is quiet, but I guess it's impossible at this hotel. The room was clean, avg. size. The valet people were the kindest staff. They have a restaurant and bar on site. We had breakfast and it was just your average hotel food. The room had dual thermostats. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Good water pressure. The downsides to the room was there was no full length mirror, and you could hear people and dogs in another room, plus the road noise was very loud. Even with ear plugs its was loud. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to light sleepers.

This was a really nice hotel. Nice and fresh. I had a "mini view". The front desk crew were so professional (which has not been my experience with many places). The bar area top tier! The room was Luxxe The hotel was aesthetically pleasing. Oh and the Valet!!!!! Please tip them! Thank you all for an amazing experience.

I've stayed at this Hotel Indigo a couple of times, and each time has been excellent. The people working valet are your first interaction, and they're always so polite and willing to help. Let me know about free street parking starting at 6 pm if I didn't want to pay for valet. The front desk reps are very helpful, also. Even provided me change so I could fill the parking meter. The room has been cleaned the times I've stayed and it is very quiet. You have the regular shade on the windows, then also the blackout shade, so you can get some sleep. The Wanderer restaurant is open till 11pm, but I've only tried the breakfast, and I would recommend the Cowboy Breakfast so you can sample a few different items. The location provides easy access to the highway, and you're walking distance to numerous bars, restaurants, the McKenzie Arena, and anything else you want to check out.

Checked into the hotel Indigo for an overnight in Chattanooga. We like IHG hotels because they are just a bit nicer. We booked the king suite so we could enjoy the living room separately from the bedroom. It's well done in this hotel. The room is clean and well appointed. They provide Valet for a parking lot that's on property. Like I can look into the parkinglot that my car is sitting. Why Jack people for $? They have a restaurant and bar in the lobby. Also there's a Peet's coffee kiosk there too. Def would stay again.

We didn't plan ahead and wanted to stay close to downtown and not far from waterfront. This hotel was a bit more than we usually spend but it was very comfortable and space.. they have a small coffee pot with a few diff coffee choices and creamers with sugar. The bathroom was really quite spacious. Our room came with beautiful walk in shower. The decor was interesting. Parking is not free. You can valley for $18 a day or if you could get into the parking garage across street it was $10 a day. The valley parking was right next to hotel and was super convenient. Our bed was very comfortable and soft top..we enjoyed our stay because we could walk 4 blocks to waterfront. There's no cabs just Uber and lift and public transportation. I would stay again! There's even a bar downstairs on main level. You can go to restaurant on site or order room service.

On our first night, we went to the hotel's speakeasy to unwind after a long travel day. I told the bartender I only wanted water because I was dehydrated and not looking to drink. Later she started telling me about a new drink they were adding to the menu and said, "Let me make you a drink." I agreed, assuming she was offering it as a courtesy since I had already made it clear I wasn't drinking alcohol that night. When we got the bill, she had charged me $11 for a vodka. That set the tone for the rest of the stay: staff doing the very least to help while making it seem like they're providing excellent service. Then the AC in our first room failed and the room phone didn't work either. We were traveling with our older dog who has a heart condition and cannot tolerate heat. At 10pm, the only options offered were to pack up everything and move rooms or use a box fan. This was our 10‑year wedding anniversary trip and we had to be up early the next morning. There was zero urgency from anyone on staff to find a better solution. The next morning, maintenance told us the thermostats were locked and couldn't be fixed onsite without someone offsite helping. So we had to move rooms anyway. Again, no urgency, no help, no concern. We packed everything ourselves and moved rooms alone. The girl at the front desk was completely useless in this process as well and told us that issues with the AC on the 4th floor were well known but they booked us on that floor anyway to pad their occupancy rate, I assume to influence their online rates. Additionally the hotel is wildly understaffed. Every day we were there only one person was working and handling the front desk, room service and acting as host for the speakeasy. This is potentially fine when there are no issues but when things go wrong, one person cannot man an entire hotel. This is not only unfair to the guests, it's unfair to the staff. The staff was also dressed unprofessionally. One front desk associate was wearing blue plaid pants with chains and a concert tee. THAT is how a hotel is representing itself?? No one wore name tags either, presumably for lack of accountability. Then on checkout day, the hotel had a full power outage. The AC went out across the entire building, again dangerous for our dog. My husband went to another floor to get ice and got trapped in the stairwell because the doors locked during the outage. He and the elevator repair man were stuck banging on the door for several minutes with a housekeeper nearby who didn't bother to check. He only got out because the elevator man let my husband use his phone to callme and I had to go let them out. We then had to drag our luggage down three flights of stairs with no assistance. There was no notification to guests on what was going on, no alarms, and not one staff member helping guests bring their luggage down the stairs. At the front desk, instead of apologizing or acknowledging any of this, the staff member just asked for our room number so she could check us out when the power came back. When I asked if the hotel had generators, she shrugged and said, "Yeah I think we do." Maintenance even needed OUR help to access floors and unlock stairwell doors because they didn't have proper access during the outage. Not one person apologized. Not one person tried to make anything better. It was excuse after excuse, no urgency, no concern for safety and no sense of responsibility. This entire stay was a disaster and an embarrassment to the Marriott brand. We will never stay here again and unless you like wasting your money you probably shouldn't either.

My room was clean and very comfortable, with a small couch, table and chair. The bathroom was well kept, with plenty of space for your toiletries. However, I was given a room on the second floor that looked out onto the lobby roof and the parking garage. I expected a room with a better view given my Gold status. The staff was pleasant and helpful. However, I found the internet appeared to be spotty at times. You had to reconnect every morning to the internet, which I do not recall this being required at other Hilton properties I stayed at, especially a Curio Collection hotel. In addition, you sometimes had to reconnect while in your room. One day, I went down to breakfast and although I re-checked onto the internet that morning, by the time I got downstairs, it was off again and I had to re-check in again. The parking garage on the property was free (you need to pull a ticket at first), and you get in and out with your room key. However, if you should stay passed your checkout time (like I did for lunch), when I went to use the key to leave the garage, it did not work. I had to repark, go back to the Front Desk and get the key card re-programmed. The gentleman at the Front Desk said the key card becomes nonresponsive at checkout time. I recommend the Front Desk inform its guests of this cutoff so that if you should enjoy lunch there or want to walk around the area before leaving, you are aware of this situation before you walk out to the garage and have to come back in.

One of the highlights of my stay was dining at Forge, the hotel's restaurant. If you visit, do yourself a favor and order the Honey Whipped Feta. The creamy, silky feta paired with sweet honey and served with charred baguette was absolutely delicious and one of the best appetizers I've had in a long time. Between the comfortable accommodations, excellent dining options, and convenient location, The Chattanoogan is a fantastic choice whether you're visiting for business, a convention, or a weekend getaway. I'd happily stay here again.

When we walked into the Hilton, it immediately felt like we were stepping into a real hotel experience--and it even smelled like one! The lobby was clean, beautifully decorated, and welcoming. Once we entered our room, we were even more excited. The room was clean, and the fresh smell of the sheets immediately gave us confidence that the room had been well taken care of. As I normally do, I inspected the room, and I was pleased to see that the sheets were clean, and the floors and tables were also spotless. The only issue I noticed was the shower floor, which appeared to have some staining that I believe may have been caused by cleaning chemicals. Other than that, the room was great. During our stay, we enjoyed the warm chocolate chip cookies, which were a nice touch! I also loved the customer service at the bar. The bartender was so nice and made me two really good mocktails. I also had breakfast at The Grove one morning, and the grits were cooked to perfection! The front desk staff was outstanding. From the moment I walked in, the place had that polished, easygoing vibe that makes you feel like you made the right call before you even hit the elevator. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and, most importantly, stayed that way because housekeeping actually serviced them daily. That alone feels like a luxury these days. The location is not exactly the crown jewel of Chattanooga, but it nails the one thing that matters when you're traveling: convenience. It's easy to get where you need to go, easy to get back, and easy to settle in without feeling like you're fighting the city. And the staff? Warm, friendly, and consistently helpful. The kind of team that makes hospitality feel like hospitality. But the moment that won me over was the Little Debbie snack waiting in the room at check-in. That tiny touch somehow said, "Welcome to Tennessee, we speak fluent comfort food." A good hotel gives you a room. A great one gives you a reason to smile before you even unpack. That's exactly what this place gets right. It may not sit in the most exciting location, but it absolutely understands the guest experience. Clean rooms, daily service, kind staff, and just enough thoughtful touches to make the stay memorable.
