    Biscuit

Was in town visiting family and another popular brunch spot had a very long wait. I looked up nearby restaurants, Chatterbox had 4 stars, called and there was no wait so that was a no brainer. My MIL had never been here. It's a quaint little spot that is off the path, which explains why it's not super busy. However once we got seated it did fill up completely! The prices are b very reasonable!!!! I had basic 1 egg, sausage, hash browns with a biscuit. The biscuits are DELICIOUS!!!! Son has choc chip pancakes and MIL had 1/2 French toast with 1 egg. If I was hungrier I would have tried the country fried steak. Overall such a cute no frills place!

Gravy sample. Not homemade but, great taste according to our southern momma.

Great small town cafe. Friendly staff. Lots of locals. Families, retirees and vets love this place. They love police, military, guns and trump. We didn't talk politics and none were offered. Great food and good portions for a fair price.

This place is an out of the way gem. Great mom and pop place with good but unpretentious food. Try "The Mess". And they may have the best biscuits I've ever had! When you're looking for this place, don't be surprised by the location. It's in a kind of older residential and industrial area. But it's a cute place and very clean and friendly staff. Well worth the time to find.

Denoyer Special. Chicken fried chicken with Sausage gravy. Eggs any style and potato pancakes with sour cream

Small but quaint. Very good breakfast with huge portions. The owner was very nice and a dog lover as I am. Very friendly place, fast service, and very attentive to our needs. I'm going to go again next time I am in that area again. Very reasonably priced food.

Two eggs over medium, bacon, hash browns, and wheat toast!

Small, cozy and popular with locals. The waitress knows many people by name! Delicious food. They do breakfast right! My girls and I devoured our meals. Thank you for keeping my coffee cup filled! Perfectly crisped bacon with crunchy browned hash browns next to my over medium eggs. The French toast is simple but hits the spot! Even their oatmeal bowl was licked clean.

    Yummy - Pumpkin Delight!

In the years since its demise, the building has housed several restaurants. Perhaps the most notorious replacement was Piggies(or something like that name). The owner in the 1980's painted the building pink as an act of defiance against the village. Later, the owner took it one step further and set fire to the building to gather Insurance proceeds. He was convicted of arson in local circuit court. Well, as I said, a few months ago, I decided to try the new restaurant occupying this classic downtown space on Broadway. I was relatively optimistic as I entered the restaurant with a friend. We selected a booth with an excellent view of the then operating dry cleaner across the street. I chose as my meal a basic breakfast staple: French toast... So, nothing fancy, like Eggs Benedict. When my French toast arrived, at first, I thought the waitress had brought the plate to the wrong table, because I did not really recognize the food on my plate as French toast. Well, when questioned, the waitress admitted that the plate she brought to my table was in fact the order I had placed. So, I settled in and began to eat the food on my plate. It resembled in some ways French toast, I suppose. But, in critical ways, related to texture and taste what I tried to eat was not French toast. Rather, it was somebody's idea of a concoction that built upon the concept of French toast. Perhaps that was a good artistic idea, but it did not satisfy my need for French toast. I have not been back.

First of all, the service was excellent. They were quick, polite, and accommodating! They seem to…read morehave a great team of people waiting and cleaning tables. The issue is with the food. My husband had eggs, which had egg shells in them. I'm so thankful they are using real eggs, but l could do without the shells. The bacon in my omelette was undercooked and so were my hash browns. I appreciate the speed at which we were served, but would be more than happy to wait a few more minutes so things could be cooked properly. I think this place has loads of potential, but needs to slow a bit to make sure their basics are done correctly.
