I probably spent 30 minutes looking through the brochures here. They also have a bulletin board with events in the area but unfortunately it doesn't look like it gets updated . The majority of the flyers were from July and it is now October . It would have been nice to see current events and things happening in the area . They have vending machines and they even have a microwave for people to use, which is unique and very thoughtful. There is a button you can push inside if you need the police, so that helps with a feeling of safety and I did see a red and white sheriff's vehicle parked there with two deputies inside on my visit. There are lots of tables outside with chairs and a grassy area where you can take your pets. Plus the view of the water is very beautiful, especially right now with all the fall foliage.

Great communication was had throughout the whole process. Our room was just perfect for what it was described as on their website. It was very comfortable and clean. We spent most of Sunday on a boat on Lake Chautauqua on a very beautiful day. We ate at EBC and were able to walk around this very quaint little town, which is just about an hour and a halfs drive from Buffalo. I would definitely recommend staying at the Bemus Point lodge to anyone that asks. Adam and Kristi have a great lodge and are making improvements to it since they've bought it a few years ago. They offer boat rentals, kayak launches, a courtesy boat slip is also available. It is a diamond in the making.

I changed my mind after receiving a marketing email from them. W O W! It really had me shaking my head. When we stayed, we reported so many things broken and unusable in our unit it got to be a joke. Important things like faucets and hot water. We HAD to laugh because we were stuck and they were barely responsive. We were there for a family funeral and didn't want to pile onto our family during a hard time. Whoever we were dealing with was super annoyed we found hot water and a working bathroom sink faucet important. Cabinets and faucets were literally falling off in our hands. One thing would break and we'd head into another area and pop...a cabinet knob would fall off. It was something I had never experienced before nor have I again with an AirBnB! To top that fun off, I had called probably a month before to cut our visit short by one night because we were going to need to get to the city to help our daughter move into college her freshman year. When I found that they hadn't canceled that night and had charged us, I contacted them and the person I spoke to said we never had the phone conversation and because I didn't have an electronic record and just trusted their "agent" I was out of luck and they charged me for the night anyway. Beyond lame. The audacity of their sending out their "friendly" solicitation message after their treatment of us during our stay and non-responsiveness afterwards was outrageous. So tacky! If you stay here, keep good records. Hopefully, they've fixed the many problems since our stay and have amped up their customer service (a LOT). I responded to their solicitation email and said basically what was above. Of course, no response. I would find another place, frankly.

Additionally, I'm unsure how this venue can hold large events without any sort of dedicated parking area, I had to park about a half mile away. This would be a great place to stop if you're already walking around the area, as the bar has a good selection of drinks to choose from, and is open to the public.

Joseph and Craig are wonderful accommodating hosts and their home is beautiful. I felt welcomed, cared for, and even included (which was an unexpected surprise). Some of the best moments from my trip were simply chatting with the hosts around the home or on the screened porch. As far as amenities, I do not know of another Lily Dale guest house that offers nearly as many. Beyond the air conditioning, my room had a mini-fridge with bottled water and coffee creamer, a Keurig coffee maker with mugs and fixings, and a flat-screen TV complete with Netflix access! The beds are the most comfortable in the Dale! If that's not amazing enough, Craig put fresh flowers on my nightstand when I arrived. I was also pleased to learn that some of the guest rooms will be upgraded with private bathrooms. If it's not obvious already, I know EXACTLY where I'll be staying during my visit next season. The furniture was pretty much something picked up from the side of the road and extremely worn and uncomfortable. The refrigerator had broken drawers and shelves. Our cabin was right next to the dumpster so our cabin smelled like garbage. The boat we rented was a rickety old fishing boat with an ancient motor. The life jackets were torn, dirty, and kept laying on the ground. There was one communal fire pit for seven cabins. There were no grills. Chautauqua Lake is beautiful and we went to a lot of area attractions. But we ended up leaving a day early because the cabin was so bad. We paid a good buck for the week and spent time looking up somewhere else to stay next year. We found several other options for similar price with much nicer amenities.

This place is full of friendly people and in a great location to experience the wilderness around Chautauqua Lake. They have tent sites, R.V. sites and clean, cool, cabins. The cabins are an excellent value. They include a fan, fridge, electricity, water, and bunk beds. Outside there is a fireplace ring with a picnic table. All you need. The park is right next to the Chautauqua Gorge State park, offering exceptional hikes, gorge swimming and fishing opportunities minutes from the campground. There are many options for exploration and hiking on the 45 acres offered by the campground. We found many fossils and other interesting wilderness keepsakes. If you are looking for lodging the next time your in Chautauqua New York, check this place out, they have awesome options including luxury cabins with Air Conditioning and other quality amenities.
