(2) The basement showers were super small and not the best. I'm 5'8" and had to duck to shower. My mom insists that I write that she was "so creeped out she refused to shower" -- I've traveled a lot in developing countries and was ok showering and also took a bath once that wasn't so bad... my mom also points out that I am comparing their bathroom ($80/night for two people) to hostels in SE Asia (which was "luxury" $10/night per person). (3) The smell, especially in our rooms (we moved rooms once because the AC room was booked for half our stay), was generally off-putting. (4) There are no keys to the bedrooms. All this being said - we didn't go to Lily Dale for the accommodations. Jan was friendly and her daughter next door who teaches yoga and runs the other B&B was super nice too. We still had an amazing (!!!) time during our stay at Lily Dale and just wished we had planned with the above knowledge in mind.

The park is right next to the Chautauqua Gorge State park, offering exceptional hikes, gorge swimming and fishing opportunities minutes from the campground. There are many options for exploration and hiking on the 45 acres offered by the campground. We found many fossils and other interesting wilderness keepsakes. If you are looking for lodging the next time your in Chautauqua New York, check this place out, they have awesome options including luxury cabins with Air Conditioning and other quality amenities. We stayed in the Foote suite, which was decorated in very soft yellow curtains and comforter. It also included two small chandeliers with adjustable lighting. The bathroom looked completely renovated with comfortable tiling and a nice big shower. We also purchased the lunch package which included two sandwiches, a choice of side, water bottles and cookie! It also included everything you need for the beach; towels, chairs, umbrella, blankets and books! We loved our lunch and looking for sea glass. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet get away, or anniversary celebration!

No detail goes unnoticed in the room, the towels are soft and match the floor rugs beautifully. Robes are available for guests and plenty of outlet space for charging is around the room. A note to visitors: the shared refrigerator for guests is only a mini-fridge, so there isn't much storage space. We'd suggest planning ahead and bringing a cooler for any larger items you wanted to store - or calling ahead to see about options. When we wanted to chill champagne, Lesley was wonderful to assist us with an ice bucket and two glasses! I highly recommend a trip here - friendly, relaxing, and so comfortable!

Had affordable and easy waste removal too so we didn't have to worry about our tank being too full. Gate keeping the campground secured at entrance made sure that no one that shouldn't be there wasn't. Plenty of space to bike around campground as well. There were multiple other things such as a Sunday service, basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts to use, and the petting zoo that we didn't get to but add to the campground's experience and looked interesting.
